Thanks for uploading File:EYM 2024 Map.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Overwriting File:ESC 2024 Map.svg

edit

Hi, I tried to remove North Macedonia from File:ESC 2024 Map.svg because MRT not confirmed their participation yet, but I got an error which says: "File overwriting not allowed. You tried to overwrite a file that was not initially uploaded by you. You currently do not have the right to do this." Can you check if u can somehow unblock it for other users? Thank you in advance! Szyign (talk) 22:20, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Weird. According to the version history, the latest version of the file was uploaded by you, I don't know why that suddenly doesn't work anymore. Have you maybe accidentally tried to update the file on the English Wikipedia instead of Commons? As I haven't done anything to protect the file (don't know if I even have permissions for that), I sadly don't know how I could unblock it. Mr. Thistle (talk) 23:17, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I tried via Commons, but I see that I now get the same error at EYM_2024_Map.svg when I wanted to change the Netherlands to yellow. I tried asking the administration for help, but I don't think they quite understood what the problem was.... *Also: Sorry I'm writing back now, but I didn't get the notification!* Szyign (talk) 13:01, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Mr. Thistle Since I still have the error, can you add France and Netherlands in EYM_2024_Map.svg? Thank you in advance! Szyign (talk) 10:16, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I updated the file. Hope this problem of yours will be resolved soon. Mr. Thistle (talk) 12:48, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, unfortunately it's still not working for me :( If I may ask, please add Belgium to EYM 2024 Map, thank you! Szyign (talk) 18:32, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Same with North Macedonia and Poland in JESC 2024 Map Szyign (talk) 21:51, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I updated the files. I din't include North Macedonia however, as the only confirmation for their participation seems to be the proposed budget from a few months ago that also seemingly confirmed participation in the adult contest. Mr. Thistle (talk) 22:41, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, understable thank you. Can you mark Croatia in yellow on EYM 2024 Map? Szyign (talk) 16:34, 30 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, JESC & ESC maps seems to work for me now, but I still can't edit EYM 2024 Map, can you please add Sweden? Thank you in advance! Szyign (talk) 14:53, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, please add Armenia (purple) [1] and United Kingdom (yellow) [2] to the EYM 2024 Map, thank you! Szyign (talk) 12:28, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Austria confirmed their participation in EYM 2024 Map, can you please mark them purple? ;) Happy new year! Szyign (talk) 14:04, 1 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Sweden selected their representative in EYM 2024. Please change Sweden to green :) Szyign (talk) 10:35, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Evening, Switzerland confirmed their return to the contest! I would be thankful if u could mark Switzerland purple, greetings;) Szyign (talk) 13:21, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, can you please mark Spain yellow on the EYM 2024 Map? They confirmed their non-participation. Thanks! Szyign (talk) 14:12, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think they replaced the old maps with a new design recently (at least on english Wikipedia), so I don't know if the old files should still be edited. Mr. Thistle (talk) 18:42, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, many other lang wikis still use them cause for example in Polish wiki we like them more, the new variant is too chaotic. Can you please mark Poland and Serbia purple, Austria and Belgium green since they selected their representative Szyign (talk) 19:10, 3 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Mr. Thistle: Hi, sorry if I am only now entering the discussion but, as happens in the wiki.pl version, we also use this table for aesthetic reasons. Since all national representatives have been announced, would it be possible to edit the file by automatically making all participating countries green? Thank you in advance for your help :) Dominikcapuan (talk) 19:18, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
