Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

請問原始被認為可能違反規定的原因是Non-profit Purpose的字句嗎？

我是此作品的權利擁有者之一，似乎沒有找到非商業性使用的選項？（可能是我忽略了？）

（我已上傳至共享資源，並希望提供給每種敘述相關條目各語言所使用。）

若能夠限制只有非營利性目的使用的話會更加理想，但假設上傳維基百科一定要允許包含商業性使用的話，也不會介意。

假使有更理想的選擇方式還請指教，謝謝！（抱歉，對維基百科的操作模式較陌生，如果我的編輯、回覆您的格式有誤，還請指正！）

您好，是的，在維基共享資源（本站）上傳的檔案必須是可以商業使用的。如果您想要非商業性使用，就只能于用到檔案的各語言維基百科分別上傳，就像您之前在中文維基百科做的那樣。

如果您不介意允許營利目的，那麽因為本站對版權的管理較為嚴格，為了防止您的檔案再次被刪除，不知您能否撥冗填妥授權表格並寄信到permissions-zh@wikimedia.org？

這樣便可恢復您之前因「侵犯版權」被刪除的畫質較高的PNG檔。

File:Furry little snack english ver.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion. (Reason: Semi-persistent self-promotion on an article that already has an image that does its job better by not including a separate fetish and is from a more notable artist. May be considered image vandalism.)

Why not upload a picture of a plant, animal, or anything else which fits into our scope. You can contribute any media type you want, including but not limited to images, videos, music, and 3D models. Start uploading now ! If you don't have anything to upload at the moment, why not take a look at our best images or best videos, sounds and 3D models. If you have any doubts/questions don't hesitate to visit our help desk.
