An update from Wiki Loves Monuments UK edit

Thank you for taking part in Wiki Loves Monuments UK
More than 300 people have contributed a total of 4,000 photos to this year's competition and we wanted to say thank you for helping us get this far. The competition runs until the end of September, and you can upload as many images as you want - so feel free to document some more sites. Or why not go through your old images to see if you have any others that could be submitted?

Since you've already submitted some pictures to the competition, you might be interested in the banner mini-contest; to take part you crop your images to a 7:1 and upload a new version. You can find out more about how to do that here. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the competition and share it with others! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 12:24, 22 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

File:55 Broadway interior 1.jpg edit

File:55 Broadway interior 1.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Autopatrol given edit

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. — regards, Revi 12:45, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

September 2019: it's Wiki Loves Monuments time again! edit

Hi

You're receiving this message because you've previously contributed to the annual Wiki Loves Monuments contest in the UK. We'd be delighted if you would do so again this year and help record our local built environment for future generations.

You can find more details at the Wiki Loves Monuments UK website. Or, if you have images taken in other countries, you can check the international options. This year's contest runs until 30 September 2019.

Many thanks for your help once more! MichaelMaggs (talk) 15:35, 3 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Marlow edit

Thank you for walking around Marlow recently! I think I was in Amersham at a similar time. You capture buildings brilliantly. No Swan So Fine (talk) 22:08, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2020! Please help with this survey edit

Wiki Loves Monuments logo

Dear Paul the Archivist,

Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2020, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world! We would like to ask again for a few minutes of your time. Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 200K+ pictures of cultural heritage objects from more than 50 countries around the world.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet). To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey.

Please fill in this short survey and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2020.

Kind regards,
the Wiki Loves Monuments team, 08:21, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Earth (Wales) edit

Bore da!

Photo: User:Maverick Adventures

For the first time, Wales will be taking part in the international photo competition Wiki Loves Earth this year. It really is a fantastic competition! All the images need to be upload in June, by the photographer.

Please take a look at our WLE (Wales) landing page for further information:

Having taken photos for Wiki Loves Monuments in the past, I though, maybe, you would like to join us - and keep fit at the same time - or use images you took a while back.

Rear of 18 Park Square East (formerly The Diorama), in Peto Street, London edit

I am starting an article on the Diorama Arts Cooperative and will be using your image of the building from 2017. It is a view that many users of the Diorama Arts Center 1975-92 will recognise, if somewhat done up from those times. Do you have any more images of the building that you could add to Commons? Cheers :) Richard Nowell (talk) 11:15, 19 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
