hi, ich habe in deiner vorlage einen ernsten fehler entdeckt - Köln collage.jpg - anscheinend wird die dateiendung jpeg nicht erkannt und verschluckt, bzw als bildbeschreibung verarbeitet
siehe:

• commons file upload: Erlaubte Dateitypen: tiff, tif, png, gif, jpg, jpeg, webp, xcf, mid, ogg, ogv, svg, djvu, stl, oga, flac, opus, wav, webm, mp3, midi, mpg, mpeg.

@Mrmw: die positionsberechnung von Perhelion hat einige macken, sie ist zu kompliziert um da schnell was zu machen.

insbesondere wenn ein "upload with " template vorhanden ist (zb derivativeFX) kommt die berechnung durcheinender, deshalb entferne ich diese immer vorher.

in diesem fall aber ist von allem anfang an noch ein zweites {{Information}} vorhanden, im Original upload log. weil Perhelion offensichtlich von hinten sucht, findet er eben das, und nicht das erste. wenn du das bereinigst wird es funktionieren. -- sarang♥사랑 12:19, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

@Mrmw: ein grossteil der arbeit in den scripten resultiert aus den immer wieder uberraschenden einfallen der benutzer, wie sie dinge schreiben und formatieren. es ist langst noch nicht alles abgefangen, was so daherkommt; entweder wird das script immer wieder erweitert, oder aber auch mal was in der beschreibung auf eine der vielen verstandlichen formen gebracht. wenn sich zeigt dass etwas sehr ausgefallenes dem script probleme macht -- sarang♥사랑 12:45, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

kategorien

hi, du arbeitest doch auch viel mit kategorien - manchmal versuche ich mich wieder damit, aber dann sind es wieder mehr unklarheiten - zb geht es um Category:SVG animal icons, wenn ich zb die commons-dateisuche bemühe und ich finde svg animals, dich ich selbst als icons klassifiziere, kann ich die files mit dem helferlein cat-a-lot in diese kategorie schieben, leider fehlt mir hier die funktionalität, dass ich zb. nur files in diese kategorie schieben will, wenn sich das file nicht einer unterkategorie befindet, wenn sie also noch völlig kategoriefremd ist

die daraus resultierende frage ist, kann ich eine kategorie dahingehend untersuchen? also prüfen ob sich files in der kategorie n und in einer darunterliegenden kategorie befinden?

dann schaue ich zb. in Category:SVG birds und frage mich welche unterkategorien sich darin befinden, zb Category:SVG silhouettes of birds - müssten in dieser kategorie nicht wieder alle vogelarten enthalten sein als kategorien? und sind nicht alle silhouetten von vögeln automatisch icons von vögeln? und wie grenzt man ab, wann ein svg zb ein icon ist?

@Mrmw: viele fragen - ich versuche es mal.

als tools helfen vor allem cat-a-lot und der VisualFileChange; viel wirkungsvoller wären bots, aber es ist kaum möglich da jemanden zu kontaktieren.

ganz generell sollte eine datei nicht in einer kategorie und auch noch zusatzlich in einer ihrer unterkategorien sein. es gibt seltene ausnahmen, wo dies sinnvoll erscheint.

wenn eine kategorie zu voll und dadurch unubersichtlich wird kann unterategorisierung abhilfe schaffen: dateien mit gemeinsamen kriterien werden in eine subcat ausgelagert. oft erscheint es sinvoll, eine datei in mehrere subcats zu stellen, zB bei deinen vögeln als vogelart, unterart, icon, silhouette, nach farbe, SVG/raster usw.

subcats schaffen eine andere art der unubersichtlichkeit, denn in der ubergeordneten maincat ist nicht ersichtlich ob und wo eine datei bereits eingetragen ist. eine diesbezugliche suchfunktion habe ich vor langem angeregt, und die anfrage gelegentlich erneuert, aber bisher erfolgte null reaktion (wie bei den bots).

es braucht ein gutes gespur dafur was bei der unterkategorisierung sinnvoll ist - die wesentliche frage ist immer, welche struktur einem vollkommen unbedarften am besten hilft, zu finden was er sucht. da kann durchaus unterschieden werden in relavante finde-kategorien, und andrerseits in sammelkategorien fur kraut&ruben.

oft habe ich die weniger interessanten/konvertierten bilder ausgelagert, damit kategorien ubersichtlich bleiben: Obsolescences by SVG replacement. -- sarang♥사랑 12:40, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

nein, genau das und gleichartiges geht (noch) nicht. ich habe es vor monaten hier angefragt, aber wurde bisher keiner reaktion wert befunden.

Huge SVG to minimise

@Cmglee: did this, omg - its a monster, it took days of calculation time for my cpu, because i was trying to create paths out of the objects, far far to late i recognized, that the path is doubled, 191.662 tiny circles redrawing the path unnecessarily, deleted all of them and simplified remaining code --Mrmw (talk) 18:58, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for looking into it, Sarang. Using this Python script to search possible offsets to minimise the file size, and abusing the arc command of SVG path, I managed to reduce it to 1901 bytes. Brunâtre shade

Hi, I'm writing in regards of the recent Brunâtre hatching file you uploaded. I wanted to ask if there's any specific reason for making it much brighter (now it seems even brighter than the file for Tenné; if Brunâtre is to stay this way, Tenné would need to be brighter).

I admit I'm not accustomed to text editor, I use Inkscape for vector graphics :') ideally Tenné should be slightly brighter and livelier, of the tawny colour, whereas Brunâtre darker and not as saturated as Tenné. This Wikipedia article discusses the two tinctures.

By the way, I noticed you removed the gradient from Iron; should we remove it from other metal tinctures as well for better consistency?

​While we have different Tinctures for national (and subnational) heraldry, this is a general example; I can give it more colors but I am thinking it should not be too detailed. ich habe leider wenig ahnung in sachen übersetzung von vorlagen - wenn ich das richtig sehe ist hier die deutsche übersetzung

mir ist nicht klar, wieso der text 'logo of' zwei mal zur übersetzung steht, aber andere texte wie 'bis' oder 'seit' in The logo of Otto Devrient – German actor and playwright from 1988 until 2022 als ergebnis von {{Depicted logo|Q88289|from=1988|to=2022}} oder in

​Da gibt es einige Fragen: die Tincture-Vorlagen hatten mal eine automatische Kategorisierung, die seit irgendwann nicht mehr tut. Es bestand/besteht auch keine Einigkeit ob diese K. uberhaupt gewunscht/sinnvoll sei. Wenn denn kategorisiert werden soll, dann IMHO nur automatisch uber die Tincture-Angaben! Soll ich nachsehen warum es nicht mehr tut, und ggf. die Automatik wieder einschalten?

Die Kategorienamen sind sehr uneinheitlich, nach mindestens zwei widerspruchlichen Kriterien; eines davon sagt dass die Reihenfolge sein soll: erst die beiden Metalle (a/o), dann alle anderen alphabetisch (a/o/b/c...), das andere sortiert alles (a/b/c/.../g/n/o/p/..). Ich habe schon erwogen die Anzeige der Legende zu sortieren, unabhangig von der Spezifikationsreihenfolge nach der sie gegenwartig erfolgt.

Aber sowas mach ich nur wenn Konsens & Wunsch bestehen.

Es scheint dass brunâtre in verschiedenen nationalen Schattierungen existiert, brauchen wir das auch? Falls ja, wurde sich dafur "T" (anderes tawny) anbieten.

Hello, thanks for replacing the template for coats of arms all around Commons. I've a question, related to this edit and other similars edits. In the field image you place sometimes Rv, or Ru, or Rvc. What's the difference? Then, many coats of arms weren't created for the Italian graphic lab. How to indicate them? ​ This task is still under deveopment, but some documentation exists. You may see above in this my talk page three expandable tables; when you expand the third one you will see a large table where each CoA drawer should have one or more entries. Your key is "Rv" for 'normal' coas, for coa-elements/charges can be a second key "Rvc", and "Rve" is for ecclesiastical coas.

As well is to define only the main user key, and set the third image parameter to "ce" or "eh" for elements resp. ecclesials.

It is a bit complicated but it works fine and is short before finishing. Working with it needs the script-sandbox which is in general use due to an error.

​Nicht so einfach; es musste in Image generation beim Zusammentreffen von s=c/ce/eh und der Farbangabe mit cb= gemacht werden, um automatisch zu erfolgen. Aber es ist bisher wohl das einzige Beispiel dafur, normalerweise wird bei Wappen Tincture verwendet – das sieht mit #000/#F00/#FC0/NS so aus

Nein, das war nicht ich. Ich hätte hier sprachunabhängig von TBC immer "schwarz - rot - gold" ausgeben lassen; so wie bei der fr-Tricolore "bleu - blanc - rouge". Ich habe einige Farben i18n-bereitgestellt, mit der Möglictkeit in TBC statt zB "blue" die Variante "{{i18n/blue}}|" anzugeben, wenn übersetzbar sein soll.
Stattdessen hat User:OmegaFallon sich da ausgetobt (IMHO nicht ganz sinnvoll), und in TBC die Ŭbersetzung hart und zwangsweise eingebaut. Vollkommen abwegig hat er zu jeder i18n-Farbe unzählige redirects angelegt: IMHO sollten Vorlagen nicht in jeder Benutzersprache aufgerufen werden können! Es soll ein einheitlicher Aufruf erfolgen, und nicht zB die Vorlage By je nach Lust und Laune mit den redirects "von", "de", "del", "od", "fra", "ад", "কর্তৃক", "על ידי" etc. Ein "i18n/piros" oder "I18n/červený" wird nicht jeder sofort als die Farbe "rot" erkennen - 'i18n/red' schon viel eher!
Aufgefallen ist das dir nur, weil er noch keinen 'i18n/schwarz' als redirect für das von mir angelegte 'i8n/black' erstellt hatte. Ich habs korrigiert.

Ich hatte die Notwendigkeit die Wappenzeichner nach irgendwelchen Kriterien einzuordnen. Weil es soviele gibt (ich finde immer noch welche!) die mehr als eine Minimalanzahl Wappen erstellt haben sind solche Aufteilungen erforderlich. In Ermangelung anderer Kriterien habe ich nationale Coa_Labs eingefuhrt und erstellt, auch wenn die einzelnen Zeichner meist nichts damit zu tun hatten und stattdessen ohne jede Organisation drauf los zeichneten. Innerhalb dieser CoA_Labs hat jeder Zeichner eine eigene Kategorie, die habe ich nur angelegt wenn ein Zeichner mit ausreichend Wappen in Erscheinung tritt - sonst muss die Hauptkategorie herhalten.
Das ist vielleicht nicht das optimale Ordnunsschema, mir ist nichts besseres eingefallen.
Von manchen Zeichnern stammmen viele hundert Wappen, ich habe zumindest ein oder zwei konvertiert um die Kategorie nicht leer zu lassen. Der Benutzereintrag/Key ist immer vorhanden, und wird vom cleanup automatisch verarbeitet.
Bisher habe ich die meisten Zeichner in Coa_Lab-fr verortet, und dazu eine Ubersicht erstellt, die auch zeigt dass bisher nur ein Bruchteil fertig konvertiert ist. -- sarang♥사랑 04:55, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

I started out looking for a better green. Some of the physical flags are attractive, with a nice bright green (and violet), and I thought if I could find a RS for the RGB coding, I might be able to improve the img. Trouble with Template:F

Hello sarang -- I have used this template for years to show small groups of thumbnails in the same set, and it worked well. But I noticed today that the template no longer displays my sets of images as thumbnails. Now they are all full-sized and much too big. If you look at the following pages you will see examples. I have not changed my HTML syntax and believe it still conforms to the documentation for this template; I suspect something has been broken by recent edits to the template. Hi, wir haben viele Tinkturenkategorien mit celeste statt céleste wie Category:Or and celeste in heraldry. Wir müssen die alle ändern mit Akut auf erstem e = é. Denn es heißt céleste statt celeste.  Done​ aber mir fällt auf: sehr oft sind die Tinkturenkategorien manuell eingetragen ! Sogar im neuen AUT Rohr im Gebirge COA.svg. Die manuellen älteren sind natürlich alle ohne accent aigu.

Neben den zwei konkurrierenden Systemen (a/A/o/b/B/c/C/... und a/A/b/B/c/C/.../o/...) gibt es Kategorienamen die keinem System angehören, nun also auch noch das neue a/b/c/B/o/s. Soll mir recht sein, die TinkturKategorisierung kann das, aber gut (plausibel, übersichtlich) finde ich solche Uneinheitlichkeit nicht -- sarang♥사랑 15:44, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

Nein, B und b sind eindeutig verschiedene Tinkturen, die eine ist seltener, macht aber nichts. B und b können auch gemeinsam vorkommen. A und a eigentlich nicht. Category:Argent and argent in heraldry, da ist nur Schildteilungssymbolik drin. Das ist keine typische Tinkturenpalettenkategorie. Wir haben darunter auch Category:Party per pale argent and argent, so redet man in der Blasonierung aber nicht, kannst Du die ohne Weiterleitung verschieben auf Category:Argent, party per pale? ← so heißt das nämlich. Normalerweise kommen A und a in einem Wappen zusammen nicht vor, aber auch hier gibt es wieder Ausnahmen. Haben wir sowas wie a/A/g/GN, soll das Wappen trotzdem nach Category:Argent and gules in heraldry kategorisiert werden. O seu trabalho está bem, a culpa é do programa que gera o ficheiro. Não é necessário fazer ou alterar nada e a imagem é apresentada corretamente. Apenas se afirma que o código SVG está sintaticamente incorreto.

Yes, kein problem. Thank you for your work. By the way I'm using a palette discussed with ARK. I think it hasn't been made into a Commons palette. It's a mix between the AG and GR palettes (CH-1 uses the AG azure and CH-2 uses the GR azure). I plan on going back to the files I uploaded this week-end to put the correct palette in the description, so if you're not sure I can do it once it's official. - Espandero (talk) 11:01, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

​Merci, I am in communication with ARK about the colors and palettes. The dark azure is currently #1C63B7, the lighter one #248BCC.

It is easy to change it in the palette(s), but not without new uploads in the files - so better wait until a final decision is made; there are many other azures used in the files !

BTW, there are thousands of coa files not using the "correct" tinctures. IMHO the palettes are rather for new coa drawings, and not to update good elder files. Just when another need for update occurs the colors may be corrected. Currently there are 54 coas of you, no problem to reupload them, but also there is no urgent need. -- sarang♥사랑 13:15, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

I feel the choice of colours should be definitive (that's my understanding of my conversation with ARK), so the adjustment should be pretty straight forward on each file (tincture parameter). The files I uploaded should be in their final form, except for eventual errors. If changes are required at some point let me know and I'll do it. Die Vorlagenseite ist aber schreibgeschützt, kann ich nicht bearbeiten. Vor diesem Dilemma steh ich öfter, weil ich keine erweiterten Vorlagenrechte habe. Ich habe schon viele Vorlagen gebaut, zusammen mit denen in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia. Vielleicht kannst Du mich jemandem oder einem Gremium vorstellen, diese Rechte zu bekommen? Benutzerkategorien nach DEFAULTSORT sortierbar

Hallo! Ich finde es schade, dass Category:Valid SVG created with Inkscape:CoA by Doc Taxon nicht nach DEFAULTSORT sortiert wird (und frage mich auch, warum eigentlich). In einer Vorlage oder Modul muss das unterdrückt sein. Kannst Du das finden? – Doc Taxon • Talk • 15:30, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

@Doc Taxon: Nun hab ich es hinbekommen dass nach DEFAULTSORT sortiert wird. Bis es bei den 405 Daeien durch ist kann es noch dauern, aber mit leerem edit erfolgt es. -- sarang♥사랑 13:50, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
