British Rail Class 373s.

edit

Hello,
I have seen through your uploads that you create mainly livery diagrams.
Could you please create a diagram with both British Rail Class 373s North of London and Three Capitals in SNCF grey livery (see Category:British Rail Class 373s in SNCF grey livery), for use on wikipedia?
Many thanks in advance and Kind Regards,
--Les Yeux Noirs (talk) 10:58, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, this is Rdlover777, i have made and added the SNCF livered 373s to the class 373's page but i dont really know if they are as accurate as the pictures you linked have different versions of the livery, so i just made a grey fading into white for the ends — Preceding unsigned comment added by RDLOVER777 (talk • contribs) 19:35, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much.--Les Yeux Noirs (talk) 07:18, 16 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Class 756

edit

Well done on creating the Flirt diagram for TFW. However the 4 car tri flirt has an extra door on one of the middle carriages. This is described on line 59 of the rolling stock table here https://tfw.wales/sites/default/files/documents/Copy%20of%20Sched%201.6_Table%202c.pdf

Please note this is not the same as the DEMU. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MikeyFox (talk • contribs) 09:04, 28 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, i based the image on concept art WestRail642fan (talk) 17:23, 28 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Train livery diagrams

Hello, where do you get diagrams to make the liveries? — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2A02:C7F:CC1A:9300:E0B0:649B:BCAE:48C7 (talk) 10:30, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

Hello, I really like your train diagrams you’ve created.

I see they are licensed under the CC, would I be able to use your diagrams to produce badges? Railbadges (talk) 11:21, 6 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, yes you can use my diagrams for badges, thats completely fine by me WestRail642fan (talk) 16:02, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello could you please add your 365 diagrams to the class 365 page I tried to do it myself but I could not without taking away you CC permissions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phanti99999 (talk • contribs) 10:31, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I no longer post these to wikipedia, since most of the users seem to dislike my diagrams, calling them fanart. WestRail642fan (talk) 16:02, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Is there a website where you post them? Or do you have like a Discord or something so we can talk further about them? Thanks. ThePraetorianAnts (talk) 09:18, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
they're still hosted here on wiki commons WestRail642fan (talk) 10:36, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Train images

edit

Could you explain what the hell you're playing at?, You tried (and failed) at having them removed on EN articles!,
Consensus on the EN talkpage is to not delete them and also CC licences are irrevocable so therefore your images will not be deleted. –Davey2010Talk 19:53, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you look at the dates, i sent the requests days ago. IDK why the bot only now did something, nor do i care. WestRail642fan (talk) 21:22, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Point still remains WestRail642fan, CC licences are irrevocable so therefore your images aren't going to be deleted no matter how hard you try. –Davey2010Talk 21:49, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I will be closing all immediately. When you next decide to try and do this, could you please do it as one single request? -mattbuck (Talk) 21:51, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks mattbuck that's very much appreciated, I did ask at AN for a mass closure request but had a feeling nothing would be done due to them being done 5 days ago, Anyway thanks for doing this, –Davey2010Talk 21:55, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is the third time you've tried and failed at having your images deleted, Creative Commons licences are irrevocable so IE once you upload files here they cannot be deleted,

If you make another DR on these images I will have no choice but to go to COM:ANU where you'd more than likely be blocked for disruptive editing and the same applies to EN.

Again stop with the DRs/file deletes or be blocked, Your choice..–Davey2010Talk 22:15, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Davey2010, I don't feel this warning is called for. The images have been kept - if the DRs get reopened that's a matter for another day, but right now there is no need for further antagonism to someone who has made good faith contributions. I would request you revert this section (and my own message with it). -mattbuck (Talk) 22:23, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi Matt, No antagonism here - Like I said above this user has for the third time caused disruption with their images so in this case a warning is now warranted, had this been a first time thing sure you could forget it but like I said this is now the third time they've caused disruption and so I fully stand by my warning. Enough's enough. –Davey2010Talk 22:36, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

SVG format?

edit

Hi WestRail642fan, I wonder whether you would be able to upload train livery images in SVG format. This is currently the preferred format for this type of graphics, as it scales well, especially on large displays (4K and more). I guess you originally create them as vector graphics, so this shouldn't be too time consuming for you. Big thanks. — kashmīrī 15:11, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I could try, i dont have any programs that can save directly as SVG. WestRail642fan (talk) 18:00, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm surprised as SVG normally is one of top options for saving or exporting vector graphics. If you would let me know what software you use, I might be able to find an easy solution. — kashmīrī 12:15, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Might be because they aren't vectors, they're drawn in an MS paint sort of style WestRail642fan (talk) 14:37, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
