I hope the problem will be resolved, because it is a very pertinent, factual, and authoritative illustration to a subject that is mired in artificial murkiness and controversy.

The image Image:ScythianC14AsiaEuropeFig6En.gif presents scientific data that resides in the class of "factual material that has been discovered" rather than creative works or matters of opinion. Generally in the US, factual content cannot be copyrighted. The graphical presentation of the material is my own design, following the illustration given in the underlying work. The graph representing information from a copyrighted document is not copyrightable, as information itself is not subject to copyright. I supplied the image with GFDL license with attribution. Julio Romero de Torres

Hello. In the deletion log of several images that were in the category Julio Romero de Torres can be read that they were deleted by you on december 7th, 2007. The reason given was “In category Derivatives of copyrighted works; no license”. But I think that those files were mere photographs of paintings, and the artist died in 1930. Shouldn’t they be considered in the public domain? I am not the original uploader of these files, thus I am unsure about the information added to them. According to spanish law, works before 1987 are dealt with in 1879 law, which sets a protection time of 80 years post mortem auctoris. These works are still copyrighted. --Zirland 09:10, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I want to complain about you deletion of this image. Wikimedia servers run under Florida law. Nudes of children--especially historical art nudes are not most often considered child pornography. I don't know this history of why you deleted the image--if there was any consultation--but it is a problem when admins try to interpret the law when it's not clear. Hi, if your deleting a vector images.com copyvio which has a superseded tempolate (such as File:Escut Lan Vatra Gotland.png) then please also make sure that the new image gets used. Chtěl bych vědět, z jakého důvodu jsou fotky Jiřího Paroubka a Miloslava Vlčka rozdílné, a proč byla smazána? Obě jsou na psp.cz a to je veřejná stránka. Když jsem jim napsal, odpověděli mi, že jsou všechny fotky pod veřejnou licencí?--NorthG 05:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Většina stránek na Internetu je veřejná (s výjimkou stránek chráněných heslem). Žádné potvrzení, že fotografie z PSP.CZ jsou pod volnou licencí, jsem neviděl, tudíž je třeba tyto fotografie považovat za chráněné až do doby než bude prokázán opak. Pokud se zde nachází další fotografie z PSP a toto povoelní nebude dodáno, je nutno je v souladu s licenční politikou projektu smazat. --Zirland 09:47, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Dôvod zmazania bol copyvio, takže obhajujem, že som autorom obrázka.

Pokiaľ ide o to, že je to logo, tak Commons:Trademarks je navrhovaná zásada, nie účinná zásada. V každom prípade, ak ho chceš zmazať z dôvodu, že je to logo, tak ho prosím najprv obnov a potom navrhni na zmazanie s príslušným dôvodom. Vďaka. deprecated function in your monobook.js

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

You just deleted a few/several category that I made. I appreciate how quickly this was accomplished which makes me embarrassed for what I am about to type here. I am going to be remaking them and I am sorry for the extra work I caused for you. I am not playing games with the good people who delete things, instead it is trying to wrap my mind around a problem where not everyone is agreeing on the name of some things.

However, please, could you undelete that picture and re-upload it in th.wikipedia; it may apply to Wikipedia Image policy and Thailand copyright law. The picture that was replaced was low-quality and the deleted one was good. After this, you may delete it again. We found it tough sometimes when you delete pictures that can be upload in Wikipedias, thus many wikipedias in other languages can re-upload in their languages later, but there isn't one exist in Commons. Fotky ze železniční nehobody ve Studénce, fotky Výprachtic

22.8.jsem poslal na info-cs@wikimedia.org oficiální žádost o uznání legality fotek Výprachtic(z jjan.machacek@gmail.com). Odpovědí mi byla naprostá ignorace až do dneška. Říkal jsem si, že vás nebudu obtěžovat, že jste zaneprázdnění. A proto že nemá cenu posílat další žádosti na další fotky, např. ty ze Studénky. Že to nemusí být vyřízeno hned, ale třeba až za týden (dnes je 28.8.). A teď jsem se dozvěděl, že 24.8.uživatel Zirland místo upozornění všechny ty fotky smazal. Uživatel Dezidor mi psal v diskuzi, že správci Wiki Commons nejdřív upozorňují. Měl pravdu nebo ne? V každém případě je 1)slušnost 2)zájem wikipedie nejdřív upozornit, tedy reagovat na maily.

Takhle to tedy chodí? Takto se projevuje zájem správců o snahu wikipedistů? To je úplně poprvé, co někdo zkazil, zničil, pošlalal mou práci. Nevím jestli to víte, ale uploadování těch fotek trvá velmi dlouhou dobu: popisování, různí úpravy. Vkládání do článků taky!

You have deleted the picture Image:Parc naturel régional des Landes de Gascogne.svg for the reason "In category Copyright violations; no license". But it was no copiright violations ; the correct licence is "Public Domain". French Natural Park logotypes are public domain because they are considered as traffic sign by french governement. You can see all of them in the French government official site, page "La signalisation routière" (The road signals).

Can you restore this picture please, and add the "Public Domain" licence ?

Mazání fotografií

Mohl jste mi napsat dříve než jste smazal mé obrázky „Image:LMucalikova 2001.jpg“, „Image:Biskup Kiedron.JPG“, „Image:Vladislav Santarius.JPG“, „Image:M. Solc.jpg“ a sdělit mi, co vám schází. Např. u obrázku Image:M. Solc.jpg nevím, co vám scházelo. Bylo tam uvedeno, že fotka je z roku 1929 (pokud si dobře pamatuji) a je od neznámého autora. Tím pádem počíná doba pro uplynutí autorských práv plynout od daného roku (§ 27 AutZ) a jedná se o dílo volné. Fotku Mucalíkové mi dal kamarád se svolením k publikaci, originál fotky biskupa Kiedroně a pastora Santaria mají moji rodiče ve svém albu (přičemž darování fotografie v sobě implicitně zahrnuje tacitní nevýhradní licenční smlouvu). Copyrighted pic in another pic ?

Hello. You deleted the file Image:CristoHuet.jpg cause of copyright violation. If I don't make a mistake, a copyrighted pic can't be include in other pic, right ? So I think the file Image:Bandeau portail hockey glace.png should be erase too because, as it is written in the description, the deleted file (Image:CristoHuet.jpg) is a part of it. Am I right ? When your bot Commons delinker removes pictures in occitan projets, it leaves the messatge : "Lo fichièr LinusPauling.jpg es estat escafat coma l'es estat sus Commons per Zirland" that should be "Lo fichièr LinusPauling.jpg es estat escafat coma o es estat sus Commons per Zirland". Can you modify it, please? Is there afile with all messages of commons bots ? I can verify it o make more translations to occitan language is you need it. With best regards. Hi! I do not understand your reason to delete in Commons:Deletion requests/Image:OSTRAVA!!!.jpg. I cannot see how this very simple logo could be a copyright violation.
