First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

關於航拍照片的建議 edit

感謝閣下近期能夠提供香港工程/建築項目的航拍照片。不過本人也有以下的建議：

拍攝時可以採用較好的水平角度，可以拍攝到天空。如File:Tai Hing Estate Aerial view 2021.jpg和File:Kam Chun Court site overview 202107.jpg
航拍期間也不妨拍下附近的景物，如地區的高空照，未來新界北多個地區和市區將會加強發展下，要把握機會拍攝。--Wpcpey (talk) 13:58, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

你好，謝謝近期為香港不同地方貢獻圖片。如果你有空的話，希望可以在2月底前拍攝大圍明渠限定的「大圍河道花園」，謝謝！該處的臨時空間之後不會再運作。參考圖片和[https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=4299688850136477

皇后山邨照片問題 edit

謝謝近期為香港不同地方貢獻圖片。不過皇后山邨的部分照片有改善空間。如商場部分建議參考拍攝更好，和更多的角度。如此圖片，也可以參考此帖文，當種滿了植物後，可以再到該處拍攝一下--Wpcpey (talk) 14:21, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
