File tagging File:ATP Tour 250 logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:ATP Tour 250 logo.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). This also applies if you are the author yourself. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with an OP tag on file description page. Please see the OTRS page for more information on how to confirm permission, and Commons:Permission if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own.

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the OTRS-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:ATP Tour 250 logo.png) and the above demanded information in your request. Crop edit

Hello. For cropping images, you can use this tool: https://tools.wmflabs.org/croptool/ 4nn1l2 (talk) 06:59, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@4nn1l2: Thanks very much, I'll give it a go soon. — 29cwcst (talk) 01:40, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi. You did a nice job with Croptool. But You made a small mistake. You overwrote the original file and practically removed his wife altogether :)
You should have uploaded the cropped image as a separate file per Commons:Overwriting existing files policy. To do so, use the croptool, but select "Upload as new file" before hitting the upload button. I reverted File:Cricketer Ricky Ponting and Rianna Pontin (24079181379).jpg to the original version. Please try again. Thanks 4nn1l2 (talk) 02:11, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: Will do, but could you please delete my cropped file in the history of the original? Would that be possible? — 29cwcst (talk) 02:20, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  Done 4nn1l2 (talk) 02:24, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: Thanks very much for all your help once again. The last thing that I'm going to do is move the file so that the latter of the two Ponting surnames is spelled correctly, then I'll finally be done! — 29cwcst (talk) 02:30, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: Sorry to bother you one more time, but could you delete your restored file in the history of the file that mine was cropped from? I promise I'll be done after this! — 29cwcst (talk) 03:30, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I'm happy to help.
I already deleted the cropped version from the history of the original file (evidence). Maybe you are facing a cache issue. In this case, please purge the cache of your browser following these instructions, or simply wait for a couple of days, or try another browser. 4nn1l2 (talk) 03:54, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: I just want there to be one solitary file that shows up on the history of the original. It's my fault for not initially uploading my cropped version correctly, but I myself can't entirely rectify this mistake because I'm not a Commons administrator. If possible of course, could you please try to delete your reverted/restored version of this file now? — 29cwcst (talk) 05:50, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
4nn1l2: I understand that you're probably still busy at the moment, but could you please try deleting your reverted/restored version of the file that I cropped mine from? — 29cwcst (talk) 02:05, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  Done Just for the record, I did not receive your ping on 23 May, because you had written my username wrongly in your original post. 4nn1l2 (talk) 02:12, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: Even though I later corrected it? My bad. Regardless though, thanks very much for everything. For the time being at least, I promise I'm done now xD! — 29cwcst (talk) 01:20, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, for pings to work, they should be accompanied with a signature (~~~~). Otherwise, they don't work. See en:Help:Notifications#Alerts which states "if the mention is not on a completely new line with a new signature, no notification will be sent". The trick is to link the username in the edit summary, instead. 4nn1l2 (talk) 02:54, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@4nn1l2: Thanks so much once more, I'll try and keep this in mind going forward. — 29cwcst (talk) 01:30, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
