You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tudo bem, nesse caso siga o procedimento descrito em COM:OTRS para licenciar essas imagens. Eu vou retirar as marcas de eliminação e colocar o aviso de falta de permissão. Eu excluí as fotos porque elas foram publicadas anteriormente em outro site com todos os direitos reservados, além de que o modelo de câmara varia em algumas delas. Você não precisa revelar o seu nome aqui, nem a ligação ao Panoramio, mas nesse caso tem de formalizar o licenciamento via OTRS, como descrito acima. Somente a da vista aérea que não é minha, as outras todas são minhas, desculpa ae... Vo tentar ver se consigo comprovar, caso contrário vou desistir, é muita burocracia,hehehe....mas obrigado pela atenção e pela ajuda.

A burocracia é só porque elas foram publicadas no Panoramio (e é só para essas, para as outras não é necessário), de modo a proteger o teu copyright sobre as imagens. Mas é simples, o que tens de fazer é enviar um mail para esse endereço do OTRS a explicar a situação, e colocas qualquer sinal na conta do Panoramio para indicar que de facto és o dono dela. Após ser confirmada a identidade podes retirar o sinal de lá. Convém perguntares também se é necessário mandar sempre a permissão, ou se basta confirmar uma vez (creio que sim). Mas não desistas não, não sei se reparaste, mas as tuas imagens são as únicas que existem de Montivideu aqui, é um contributo muito valioso, e não são muitos os brasileiros a colaborar com imagens próprias. Lembrei-me também que em vez de usar o OTRS, podes simplesmente mudar a licença das imagens que tens no Panoramio e queres carregar aqui para uma licença livre, e depois colocas o Panoramio como fonte. Isso evita toda a burocracia do OTRS.-- Darwin ^Ahoy! 23:35, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Excelente. Lamento pela maçada e burocracia, mas é tanta gente a roubar imagens do Panoramio e a carregar aqui como trabalho próprio que temos de ser desconfiados. Eu tinha enviado e coloquei no Panoramio lá a Mensagem também: " Coloradogoias na wikipedia"

Oi Colorado, já está tudo resolvido agora. Se quiseres já podes retirar a informação sobre a wikipédia da conta do Panoramio, pois já foi confirmada. De futuro se carregares mais material da tua conta no Panoramio podes usar a tag OTRS que foi colocada nestas imagens, de modo a que não haja dúvidas em relação à permissão dessas imagens. Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
