@Eatcha: your request is a technical one. You should apply at Commons:Bots/Requests instead. If your bot is approved I'm sure they'll make it a reviewer.--Roy17 (talk) 15:06, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Roy17, it is in the testing phase I will apply by Monday evening. (I am usually a little busy on the weekends). From my past experience with bots(for my other 2 bots), they ask you to make test edits(about 50), I'm just warming up before applying there. -- Best, Eatcha (talk) 15:12, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Eatcha: You should have LR rights first.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 15:16, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Jeff G. What ? I can't review these images, it's just my bot. I'm just too lazy to review this backlog manually. Best, Eatcha (talk) 15:21, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Eatcha: I think Jeff G. is pointing out that your bot cannot have License Review rights unless you have the same rights. // sikander { talk } 🦖 20:38, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

* I've removed your LRR request as as noted by Jeff you'd need to go to COM:Bots/Requests - I've pasted the discussion here so that you can continue it here if wanted, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 11:06, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

✝iѵɛɳ२२४० I don't have any idea of what is covered under GODL, I'm a noob in this matter. I've blacklisted the stamp site, will not pass any stamps from that site from now. Any other type of images that you know which are not covered under GODL? I thought that everything from GOI is GODL licensed -- Best, Eatcha (talk) 14:11, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear Eatcha, I think that you must first take enough experience about COM:LR and {{GODL-India}} and understand it how it works. License review is not about just approving if there is image at the source. It needs complete study of that image. We all know GODL-INDIA has a huge backlog and we are very happy that you want to help in it but it's not as easy as it looks. Look at my history I have just been working on approving GODL-INDIA on a large scale and I have been personally seeing this issue. Hope this helps. This is not a step to discourage you but a study is required for License review on Commons. Thank you --✝iѵɛɳ२२४०†ลℓк †๏ мэ 15:38, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Hi Jeff G., a JS signs my edits. This is not the first time I messed up, it happens if you use automated signing. I will add it(that page, where it messed up) to black list. Sorry for the trouble :) -- Eatcha (talk) 10:59, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Please note too you are not a license reviewer (contrary to I) and the bot you are operating is not authorized to review files you have uploaded. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 16:46, 31 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Patrick Rogel I have permission from a bureaucrat to test the bot on diffrent sites, and that is the only reason I uploaded these images(I don't care if they are deleted after my bot gets flagged, anyways these won't be deleted). See https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Bots/Requests/GODLBot . Best, Eatcha (talk) 16:50, 31 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
As it seems your bot bugs. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 18:15, 31 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Patrick Rogel, if you are talking about the reviews, they are fine per https://data.gov.in/sites/default/files/Gazette_Notification_OGDL.pdf (passed in 2017), it should take some time for all the sites to migrate from old to new Drupal-based themes. It depends on the government, earlier the government of India didn't have anything like GODL, but now it has. Anything published by Government of India (that is not sensitive) is now GODL. My bot only compares the images using Vision AI, it's not in the task to detect All rights reserved in the webpage, it's not required as per GODL. More images can be found at Category:Stamps of India by year 90% of the images are from http://postagestamps.gov.in and the cool part is their outdated Copyright policy, see http://postagestamps.gov.in/Copyrightpolicy.aspx . Best, Eatcha (talk) 18:51, 31 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Patrick Rogel The best part about Govt. of India. They stole an image from Charles J Sharp, see File:Hyacinth macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) in flight.JPG (photographed on 14 September 2015)
Govt. of India released a stamp using that image, see File:India Post 2016 Hyacinth macaw 10r.jpg (In 2016).
I understand that the government of India's file can't be trusted but we don't have an option either.

Code issues in User:Eatcha/common.js

edit

Hi Eatcha, I am a bored bot (this is kind of a computer program) that is watching the recent changes and tapping buttons like I did now.

Curious about the reason? Possibly not but I will tell you anyway:

  1. You edited User:Eatcha/common.js. Glad to see you coding in javascript! Have you ever considered becoming a MediaWiki hacker?
  2. Though, that change appears to introduce 1 new jshint issue — the page's status is now having warnings. Note that invalid or ambiguous code often has unwanted side effects like breaking other tools for you. If you cannot find out how to fix it, I suggest blanking the page for now.
  3. To help you understanding where the issues are, I have aggregated a report here and now. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask users experienced in javascript writing for help. But do not ask the bot's operators (chronically overwrought) unless you suspect an error of mine. If you prefer not getting spammed by me, you can opt-out reports by adding {{ValidationOptOut|type=all}} to your user page or cmb-opt-out anywhere on your your global user page on Meta. Good luck at Wikimedia Commons and happy hacking!

Talkpage colour

edit

Hi Eatcha, I've replaced the green text colour here to black,
Those visually impaired may have had trouble reading your talkpage and it also gave the impression there was a coding error somewhere,
As a general rule most if not all editors stick to having black text especially on talkpages,

Also you may want to replace your <font></font> code as font is now deprecated[54] (You can use span (ie <span style="color: purple;">Hi</span> which produces Hi)),
Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 22:11, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
