Thanks for uploading File:Eustace.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Eustace.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hello JoesphBarbaro, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Eustace.jpg

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
 • use in any work, regardless of content
 • creation of derivative works
 • commercial use
 • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

Tip: Categorizing images edit

Hello, JoesphBarbaro!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Your email isn't blocked on Wikipedia, so you can still email any of the members of WP:NYCS on Wikipedia. (However, your email is blocked here, so there's not much I can do to help you at Commons. Also, being uncivil will not help your case for unblock on Wikipedia.) Epic Genius (talk) 01:49, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Epic Genius: May I please ask you to revert that R160 F train picture at the Euclid Avenue article? I swear, some of these IP addresses/newbies are really pushing me to the breaking point now, including the mods/admins. I tried to convince him that we only post pictures of a station that a line normally serves, yet that little IP newbie had the nerve to respond by saying "Would you like to put up a new pic then?" and reverted it back. Newbies these days. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 10:49, 16 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Epic Genius: I'm going to post a new pic of either an R46 A or R32 C at Euclid Avenue later on, so that you can revert that newbie. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 10:53, 16 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
All right. When you upload the picture, I'll put it onto Wikipedia (and take responsibility, so I am not accused of meatpuppetry). Epic Genius (talk) 21:08, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Epic Genius: I really wish for that Cyphoidbomb swine to talk to me directly if he has any problems with me, instead of talking behind my back while I'm banned. He honestly believes that I was trying to lure you into being a meatpuppet. Priceless. I hate him deep with a passion. It's all his and Swarm's fault of why I got to Permanently Bannedville. I really wish I never met Cyphoidbomb. But anyway, I've noticed you recently got blocked for a day for going pass the "three-revert" rule. But when I took a careful look at your recent contributions, that stupid little IP newbie is the one to blame for all the mess that occured at the Second Avenue (IND Sixth Avenue Line). Sorry you had to go through that mess caused by that IP address. You don't even know how much I hate newbies. Grrr. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 11:10, 21 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
It's OK, Joe. I share your frustration. (The user also filed a false sockpuppet investigation against me based on a single edit, so I can see why you were so angry when people blamed you for things that you didn't do.) I am trying not to do that again, since that is only my second block in my 3+ years on Wikimedia projects and now the IP has turned a witch hunt against me.

Anyway, keep contributing to Commons, and I think you'll be fine. Epic Genius (talk) 03:11, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Epicgenius: Wait...can you please replace the images at the 88 Street, Rockaway Boulevard and 104 Street articles with my new images for those articles? Those three stations have been rehabilitated anyway. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 09:04, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
I did it. I also copyedited the articles. Now I gotta upload some images. ;) (Also, you can talk to me on NYC Transit Forums. I created an account named "agar io".) Epic Genius (talk) 14:24, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Epicgenius, and good luck. My account name is RollOver. I've been on NYCTF since the summer of 2012. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 21:16, 22 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Cool. I just registered not long ago. (My email was blocked for some reason, but then I got a new email.) Hope to see you there as well. ;) Epic Genius (talk) 01:30, 23 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Epic Genius, I really need MTAtrain's help starting from tomorrow. I really need to contact him on Commons on his talk page. I'm trying to talk a close shot of my A, D, F train images. Just now, I've downloaded a 31-day free trial version of Photoshop, but I don't know how to follow the steps properly. Remember MTAtrain's most recent uploaded R32 J train images? That's the best shot he ever took IMO. JoesphBarbaro (talk) 23:03, 23 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Any chance you'll be getting some extra Shepherd Avenue (IND Fulton Street Line) pictures anytime soon? Or will I have to wait until next year for my next vacation up north. ----DanTD (talk) 23:20, 23 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
DanTD, sure no problem. I will get pics of the Shepherd Avenue sometime next week. ;-) JoesphBarbaro (talk) 11:13, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Great. I've been dying to get single pictures into new galleries, providing that there are other images available. And thanks for doing to the Category:New York City Subway stations in Queens what I did for the Category:BMT Sea Beach Line stations this fall. ----DanTD (talk) 12:08, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

OK, I can probably post on Mtattrain's page tomorrow. Epic Genius (talk) 02:45, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have posted about three hours ago. Epic Genius (talk) 21:39, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I tried messaging you on NYCTF but it says that "The member RollOver can not use the messaging system". P3F has downvoted my three times. What do you think? Also, why did that message come up. Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 20:04, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
