You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Hallo Blackwhiteupl, wir müssen mal miteinander reden. Wenn du eine E-Mail-Adresse hinterlegt hättest, dann hätte ich dir jetzt ne Mail geschrieben. Es ist natürlich nicht unbemerkt geblieben, dass du seit dem 9. Januar Kuothijs Account benutzt und seitdem über 1000 Edits gemacht hast. Nun bin ich in der Zwickmühle, denn einerseits ist das Umgehung einer Sperre (block evasion), was nach hiesigen Gepflogenheiten und Regularien nicht ohne weiteres toleriert werden kann, andererseits steht dem entgegen, dass du dich in Pirna gut auskennst, dass du abertausende guter Fotos aus Panoramio rübergeschoben hast, und dass du ja hier nicht vandalierst, sondern der Anteil deiner sinnvollen Edits zunimmt. Ich kann nur Vermutungen anstellen, aber ich denke eher nicht, dass du mit Rainer identisch bist, das würde schon eher zum Panoramio-Account Kalispera Dell passen. Trotz allem, was vorgefallen ist (und uns unnötige Arbeit verursacht hat), gehe ich immer noch von guten Absichten aus (Commons:AGF) und schlage dir folgenden Kuhhandel vor: Du lässt diesen Kuothij-Account ruhen und benutzt in Zukunft den, den du am 7. Januar angelegt hast, sozusagen für einen Neuanfang ohne Hintertür.

Bitte beherzige folgende Dinge:

Kategorien dienen grundsätzlich nicht der Präsentation (dazu sind Galerien da), weswegen Bilder oben auf den Kategorienseiten nicht gern gesehen sind und nur ausnahmsweise toleriert werden. Wundere dich daher nicht, wenn jemand die Bilderlinks weglöscht, die du da einbaust.
Versuche bitte nicht, die Funktionalität von Panoramio hier nachzubilden, indem du überall {{GeoGroupTemplate}} reinknallst, das ist nicht Sinn der Sache, sondern nur da, wo es wirklich nützlich ist. Der Informationsgehalt der Geopositionen des Geflügels um einen Teich herum ist nun mal gleich null.
Sei bitte sparsam mit {{Categorytree}}-Tags. Wenn ein Kategorie nur wenige (sagen wir mal <25) Unterkategorien hat, ist dieses Template sinnlos, weil man dieselbe Information eh schon auf dem Schirm hat.
Verschiebe bitte keine Kategorien (und lege keine neuen an, in die du den Inhalt anderer verschiebst, kommt auf dasselbe raus), sondern kläre das vorher über Klick auf Kategorie diskutieren ab. Andere machen das schließlich auch so. In den Categories for Discussion musst du übrigens nicht unbedingt die englische Sprache benutzen, da geht auch deutsch.

Du brauchst mir auf diese Nachricht nicht unbedingt zu antworten, wenn du nicht möchtest. Ich sehe ja dein Einverständnis daran, welchen Account du benutzen wirst. Ich wünsche dir weiterhin alles Gute. Gruß, --Achim (talk) 16:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Bitte tagge nicht blindlings alles mit {{FoP-Germany}}. Im Text des Templates ist von Werken die Rede, also irgendetwas, das wenigstens theoretisch einen Urheberrechtsschutz genießen könnte. Wenn auf dem Foto kein Werk in diesem Sinne zu sehen ist, wie z. B. hier , dann greift die Panoramafreiheit ins Leere und {{FoP-Germany}} ist nicht anwendbar. --Achim (talk) 16:32, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
