Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

File:Ndifreke Ukpong (2).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Thanks for uploading File:Ukpong Ndifreke.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Ukpong Ndifreke.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

File:Mr Ukpong Ndifreke.jpg
editPlease stop inappropriately removing or disabling the speedy deletion template which has been added to File:Mr Ukpong Ndifreke.jpg. If you feel the file should be kept for some reason, the please follow the instructions given in the template. I also suggest you carefully read through COM:Own work, COM:VRT#If you are NOT the copyright holder, COM:SCOPE and COM:L because you seem to be misunderstanding some very important things about Commons and the kinds of files it can host. Commons hasn't been set up to be a place to upload personal photos just for the sake of hosting photos; in other words, it's not a website like Flickr, Instagram or Facebook when you uploading your own photos just to so that people can see them is quite common. Many of your file uploads have been tagged for review due to questionable license and other reasons; so, maybe it would be a good idea to slow down a bit until things get sorted out before trying to upload any more new photos. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:36, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I really appreciate! Happy New Year Ndizzy4glo (talk) 07:45, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
- That's OK. Commons has lots of policies and it's easy for even experienced users to make mistakes. In addition, if you've been using multiple accounts to upload files, please stop and just stick with one account. Uploading files using multiple accounts just creates confusion; it also can be considered sock puppetry when the accounts are being used inappropriately and may lead to accounts being blocked by a Commons administrator. One account is all anyone really needs when it comes to uploading files. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:18, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm appealing for this image not be deleted. All copyright will be provided as soon as possible Ndizzy4glo (talk) 08:12, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
- Files that are deleted aren't gone forever; so, please don't reupload this or any other files that have been deleted. Files can be restored at a later date once the problems that led to their deletion have been sorted out. There are two issues with your uploads: (1) COM:SPAM and (2) COM:VRT#If you are NOT the copyright holder. If you can satisfactory resolve both of the issues, you can ask for the file or files to be restored by posting a request at COM:REFUND. I wouldn't post any such request, however, until you can clearly state how your uploads meet COM:SCOPE and you're able to sort out any licensing issues associated with the files. Please understand that when it comes to photos like the ones you've been uploading, it's the person who takes the photo (not the subject of the photo) who is considered to be the copyright holder of the photo; moreover, since Commons only accepts certain types of licenses for files, files can't be uploaded without some way of verifying copyright holder COM:CONSENT. So, if you didn't take these photos yourself (which seems to be the case), then you need to get the person who did to email COM:VRT and clearly give their consent for the files to be uploaded to Commons. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:28, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
