File copyright status edit
Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. Эlcobbola talk 22:01, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
Deleted content edit
- use in any work, regardless of content
- creation of derivative works
- commercial use
- free distribution
See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.
Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions. And also:

File:Quaker Oats Plant.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Copyright violations edit
Hello OttomaticM.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |
Unblock edit
- You were blocked mostly for abusing multiple accounts and you did not say anything about that in your request. Taivo (talk) 08:17, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, I forgot about that while requesting the unblock, I dont have an excuse for it. But I will provide the reason I did it, I was trying to create a page for the cerial factory in downtown Cedar Rapids Iowa, but I was new and didn't completely read the guidelines and had multiple issues because I used the same words that were used by my sources and had other issues because I tried uploading photos I got from the internet for the other page I was working on, so I was afraid that if I tried to upload the photos on this account I would be banned so I made another account using my other email and used some images of the place I got on the internet, I wouldn't have dont it but im not going to be in Cedar Rapids for a long time so I choose to risk it. I obviously now regret it, and have no plans to steal photos and only take my own and that implys I wont abuse another account because I wont need too. I understand that I went too far but I was because I just wanted to finish my project, but now I cant use the photos I took in downtown Des Moines. I do not think that my reasons are good but I really dont have a reason to do it again, and im really just here because I want to expand wikipedia but I made a mistake, and for that I am sorry. I am requesting this unblock because I really want to use wikipedia and I made a horrible mistake by using another account to bypass rules, I really do regret it and I dont have a reason to do it again and I wont do it again, I really want to edit and grow wikipedia, I am sorry for what I did and I hope you will give me another chance because if you do I will never do it again, and if you dont believe me I can always be blocked again, but I really just want to add to wikipedia, so i'm begging you guys I really love adding to wikipedia and its the reason I did what I did.
