Our first steps tour and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki—it is really easy. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel irc:wikimedia-commons #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Wikimedia Commons has a specific scope edit
Thank you for your contributions. Your image or other content was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted, in accordance with our process and policies, because it was not, or is not, within our scope. Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote.
If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Thank you for your understanding. Sdrtirs (talk) 22:56, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Copyright of images edit
Hello! If you have really copyright rights, then I'm glad that isn't a copyright violation. When an image is tagged, you can disagree with the deletion by editing the talk page of the image or the discussion page, if created. And don't forget to sign your posts with ~~~~ (4 tildes). Regards, Sdrtirs (talk) 23:22, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- As these are commercial album covers that are usually copyrighted, you have to explicitely state that to Commons by sending a permission declaration (see template on Commons:Email templates) to OTRS. Otherwise the image will be deleted. --Túrelio (talk) 08:48, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, well too bad the articles these images are a part of don't have 'Encyclopedic Status'. I don't care if they get deleted. Randomgong (talk) 13:02, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- So you're not going to provide a confirmation via email, right ? →Christian.И 14:30, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- Delete them. Go ahead. I'm not going to bother with Wikipedia anymore. Randomgong (talk) 15:08, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- You're not bothering anybody. If an administrator deleted your article on Wikipedia because it wasn't indicating "Encyclopedic status" and you feel he wasn't right, please feel free to request its undeletion here. Apart from that it shouldn't be a problem for you to recreate the article if your band has become remarkable, if nobody else does ;) Regards, →Christian.И 16:22, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
