Thanks for uploading File:Clone Creature Banner.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

@Herbythyme: I have removed your taggings, as I believe they are the uploader's own work. The fact that some of them have been reuploaded with corrections, e.g. File:Clone Creature Banner.png, File:Hydra Budding.png, and File:Condensed chromosomes.png, are good evidence of that, I think. -- King of ♥ 04:23, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Herbythyme,
I don't know what you mean by you have deleted my taggings. I am new to wikimedia commons and I am still learning the appropriate terms. This was my own work and I made the corrections when I noticed some minor errors after uploading the images. Can you please tell me what it means when you remove my taggings? Apparently my files may now be deleted.
Thank you,

@King of Hearts, I see that you removed the taggings from @Herbythyme. My aplogies-I am still figuring out how this works. Everything I posted is my own work and I do not understand why it is being contested. Anything you can tell me to avoid this problem in the future would be greatly appreciated! 172.74.9.247 14:30, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@JJMC89: Please note that per Template:Pixabay, images published on Pixabay prior to 9 January 2019 are acceptable on Commons.
@SadiesBurrow: While not legally required by the CC0 license (which applies to pre-2019 Pixabay images), it is generally considered good practice to cite the base image(s) you use as a source. Otherwise it could be considered plagiarism (again, not a copyright violation, but still frowned upon). -- King of ♥ 18:30, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
@King of HeartsThank you for the clarification. Honestly, I had forgotten the grass was in those when I posted them. If I am allowed to leave them up I'll add the citation. The grass image was published on to Pixabay on Feb 1, 2017. SadiesBurrow (talk) 00:15, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Correction: Oct 10, 2013. (Had the wrong image pulled up initially) SadiesBurrow (talk) 00:17, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
@King of Hearts I tried to edit the credit, but do I still list it is my own work? I am trying to make sure the attribution is set up correctly. (I created the creatures, but not the grass). Thank you for providing such patient assistance! SadiesBurrow (talk) 00:25, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Apologies for the delay but life happens! For me the issue here is that these are obviously "professional" images. That is great however we must be certain that the copyright holder of these images is actually happen to freely license them for hosting here. If that is not explicit it is possible that misunderstandings occur (they have in the past). I have no particular doubt that these are you images however - just in case you are not who you say you are - it is a precautionary principle to confirm copyright. However views among users do vary - @King of Hearts. Best Herby talk thyme 10:38, 16 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
