Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Image problems
editPlease stop uploading images for which you fail to add the appropriate needed details, or whose details you don't have. We take copyright status and sourcing very seriously and the images you uploaded don't have this information, so have been nominated for deletion for two reason. First they did not have a unique url for each image so we could check it and when I found the image sources on Flickr I see they are under copyright. Because you did not take the photos yourself and they are copyright to someone else please don't upload them unless you have permission of the copyright holder. We do not accept images with restriction, such as "All rights reserved" like the two you uploaded or with non-commercial or non-derivative restrictions. We do like good images but they must be properly licenced for us to use them so just be a bit more careful in future or ask before uploading as wasting both your and our time frustrates us all. Good luck. Ww2censor (talk) 10:48, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
- Please stop uploading Flickr images for which you don't give the source url. You may be blocked if you continue, so just provide a unique url in each image source. Ww2censor (talk) 23:08, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
