The current license on this file looks a little dubious. I'm trying to verify if John Pelham Black was ever a federal employee, and this portrait was derived from a print by a Canadian photographer who was never a federal employee. Abzeronow (talk) 17:04, 27 July 2024 (UTC)

It's not clear whether the new photo I'm proposing to upload is of a print at all, as opposed to a photo of the original painting. Obviously your concern about John Black stands; if this is accurately identified as the SC's official portrait of Hugo, then presumably John would have painted it on commission of a federal agency, making it PD, no? If the painting is based on a photograph by Yousuf Karsh, then I have to consider the copyright status of that which could be public domain because of formalities. Regarding the painting though, if it was done by a federal employee, then it would be PD. If a private citizen did it, its copyright status would depend on when it was published. I'm not sure I am following, what seems to be the issue here with the existing file in regards to "black" and "white"? The only thing I can tell I messed up on was the Crunchyroll logo got slightly de-smoothed during the svg file conversion. This is a low quality non-native pronunciation of the native name of Estonia. I uploaded a higher quality native pronunciation a couple years ago, but to my surprise I discovered that the better pronunciation I uploaded has been split into a different file, and this low-quality pronunciation file is still used pretty much everywhere. I believe that I cannot overule Wiki projects which files they should or should not use, and I also believe that COM:OW doesn't allow such an overwrite. This is not a judgement of quality as I do think your file is an improvement but if you want your file to be used more than the other one, you'll have to replace usage manually. I have the same image of this file, but higher quality + original frames (I think mine is the original) I have difficulty to getting the image, and I have made some interface edits to my file, I don't know how to show you this until I'm overwriting the file. This file is widely used throughout Kurdistan, Iran and Iraq in public places, websites, cultural centers, events, government materials, and in various designs, eg: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7, no one owns it; the original file has no clear publication information, but given its extensive and widespread use, it's effectively part of the public domain in the region (maybe Iran) + it may date back to the 1950s or 60s, 'couse the person of the image died in 1972. to the best of my knowledge, the correct license for this file should be like this file, which is the same person. You are correct that it should not be CC BY-SA 4.0; good catch. However, given that the photo is dated to 1944 and the author is unknown—it's listed as the JCPML, but they're clearly not the real author given that the JCPML was established in 1998—it appears that this photo is PD under Australian law. @Abzeronow: The actual link is come from https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/File:DC_Comics_(1976).svg. The image appeared at Logopedia was different to this Wiki because the background is transparent. This image is currently encoded as 64-bits-per-pixel RGBA. Yes, you read that right. 64 bits per pixel. It's the special 16-bit-depth version of RGBA, where each of the four channels is stored as a 16-bit number rather than an 8-bit number. The funny thing is, every pixel in this image is a shade of grey, with varying alpha values. This means the image can be losslessly re-encoded in 32-bits-per-pixel "Grayscale with Alpha" mode (which is to say it's two channels rather than four, those being a Grayscale channel and an Alpha channel, but we're still using the 16-bit-depth version of both channels). I performed the re-encoding with OxiPNG and ZopfliPNG and the file shrank to 552 KB. (Less than half of the original size!!) I would like to upload this corrected version. It's mainly for Tecate, Tijuana y Rosarito COA, because they're somewhat blurry (you can check their preview if required).

works for me. note that the linked file is white on transparent, making it invisible to browsers that have a white background for their SVG viewer. The color can be easily edited, since it's all vector graphics.

And another thing to note: File:Amazon_music_logo.svg is currently a bitmap inside an SVG file, so if this request is declined, I recommend at least deleting the file in favour of File:Amazon_Music_Cyan.png. RiedleroD (talk) 14:13, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Could I overwrite them with higher resolution maps, also correct boundaries according to [11](Check page 12), Which is the last official document in which Ensenada had 22 delegations, (Also delegation numbers are set according the document; for Ensenada City, 0 indicates it which is omitted when counting delegations in official documents; if required I can set any other term instead of 0), the boundaries in subsequent revisions of Ensenada and San Quintin, are based on these boundaries.

That's very strange. I'm positive that the current version on Commons does not have text data, and it's only 34 MB when I download it, while the version with text from archive.org is around 36 MB. The following images have colors that need to be adjusted:

• File:New York Yankees Primary Logo.svg (the blue is not navy blue, but slightly brighter, as can be seen as the profile picture on the team's Facebook, Twitter, and on SportsLogos.net).
• File:Detroit Tigers Insignia.svg (the blue is not *that* dark. Blue should match the blue in this image, which itself matches MLBStatic.com).
• File:Kansas City Royals.svg (the "Royals" text has been removed from the primary logo since 2019, and the black shadow has been removed from "KC". This can be seen in the team's 2023 media guide and on SportsLogos.net. The crown and blue will remain the same.
• File:Arizona Diamondbacks cap logo.svg (the primary cap logo is now the current teal/red/black logo on a matching red cap. I'd like to change this image to that. Also, the current image used on English Wiki Season Pages (2018–2023) will be replaced by File:Arizona Diamondbacks logo.svg. See SportsLogos.net for an idea of what the image will look like (just squared off)).

The borders of this image are uneven. In its current form, it has 138 pixels of padding on the bottom, 120 on the right, 152 on the top, and 196 on the left. I have created a version normalized to 128 pixels of padding on all sides. In addition, this image happens to be composed of only 256 distinct pixel values: all colored black, with 256 different alpha values. This means the image encoding can be changed from 32-bits-per-pixel RGBA to 8-bits-per-pixel Palette mode. After performing all these adjustments, my result file is 18 KB. The exact cord model is this one, but the svg still needs time to be reworked; I have no opinion about the replacement of the rope model on Roquefeuil-Anduze.svg by that one, which is closer to the actual than the current model.
