First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

アップロードした写真の著作権・著作権者について edit

こんにちは。お互いWikipedia日本語版の利用者であることが明らかですので、日本語で失礼いたします。

先ほど、アドクス・センゴクエンシス(Adocus sengokuensis)の化石としてアップロードされていた写真について、削除依頼を提出いたしました。アッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんのアップロードなさった写真は、早稲田大学が公開している2015年の記事に掲載された写真から、スケールバーやその他の装飾を除去したものと推測されます。画像の著作権は早稲田大学の関係者にあるのであって、アッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんにあるわけではありません。もしアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんが正当な著作権者であるならば、それを何らかの手段で証明しなければならないでしょう。

さて、アッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんは過去にもらえらぷす氏のアルコヴァサウルスの復元図をはじめ、著作権で保護されている画像をWikimedia Commonsにアップロードなさっているように思います。Wikimedia Commonsにアップロードする画像は、商用利用可能で、二次的著作物の公開が可能で、商用利用可能で、そのライセンスが撤回不可能でなければなりません（参照）。古生物関連画像に限らず、何かメディアをアップロードする際は、それがWikimedia Commonsに掲載可能なライセンスの下で公開されているものであるのか、きちんと確認していただけますと幸いです。商用や改変を認めているタイプのクリエイティブ・コモンズライセンス（以下CCL）やGNU Free Documentation LicenseなどであればWikimedia Commonsでアップロード可能ですので、そうしたライセンスが適用されているのか、確認をお願いします。

またアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんがアップロードなさった画像のいくつかは著作権者がアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんという体になっているものもありますが、個人的にこの記載にも疑問を覚えています。以下に具体例を挙げます。

こちらの白黒のアンモナイトの写真は、どこかの論文からトリミングして持ってきたものではないでしょうか？もしアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんがどこかで発掘して撮影して背景を除去して白黒加工したのであれば著作権者はアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんでしょうが、こうした写真は記載論文（例）でよく見かけるものであるため、本当にアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんが著作権者であるようには思えません。
こちらの装盾類の分布に関する地図も、本当にアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんが作成されたものなのでしょうか？どこかのwebサイトや論文から引用したものではありませんか？もしアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)の著作物であれば、地図は何を利用されたのでしょうか。ゼロから世界地図を描いたということは流石に無いと思いますので、CCLかその他のライセンスに適合する地図を利用されたのでしょうか？
こちらとこちらのアンモナイトはやけに画質が粗いです。もし私がどこかでアンモナイトの化石を撮影してWikimedia Commonsにアップロードするなら、もう少し画質が良くて、かつ全体の姿を確認できるような写真にする気がします。古い写真をどこかのwebページから転載されませんでしたか？

もしアップロードなさった中にアッスちゃん (talk · contribs)さんが作成した作品でない画像があるならば、ライセンス表記を適切な形に修正すべきかと存じます。またWikimedia Commonsへの掲載が明示的に認められていない画像ファイルであるならば、削除の手続きが必要かと存じます。ご確認よろしくお願いいたします。ノボホショコロトソ (talk) 15:28, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

件の装盾類の分布図のDescriptionに「地図はフリー素材を用いた」と加筆がありましたが、その「フリー素材」は本当にCC0で公開可能なものですか？世の中には「フリー素材」を謳っていても、素材単体の再配布を禁止していたり、著作権を放棄していないものも存在します。そのあたりをきちんと第三者が確認できるように、どこのwebサイトで公開されている地図を用いたのか、そのURLやライセンス情報を明示すべきと考えます。
