議論はこちらで、とのことなので、続きはここに書きます。また、婉曲的に書いたのがかえって誤解を与えてしまったようなので、より直裁的に書こうと思います。
0607crpさんは、「パスポートや免許証の写真と同じ、その記事の人や物にフォーカスしたもの」を良い写真としていますが、証明写真ではないWikimediaでは良い写真とは言えません。芸能人の場合は顔以外の身体全体も商品化されているため、顔以外のボディラインも写っているのが良い写真です。建物の場合も、高層部だけがその施設ではないので低層部をカットするのは不適切ですし、また、立地もその建物の特徴であるので、周辺が写り込んでいる方が良い写真の場合もあります。
具体的には、ミッドタウンタワー、ポルテ金沢、りんくうゲートタワービル、ホテル日航奈良、D'グラフォート沖縄タワー、住友不動産新宿オークタワーなどは、元の写真ではビル全体が入っていたのに0607crpさんの編集でビルの一部が見切れてしまっているので、元の写真の方が秀逸。アスパム、ランドマークタワー、オアシスひろばなどは、低層部や周囲の付帯部も施設の一部なので高層部のみにカットしたのは不適切な改変。凌雲閣の写真は、背景をカットしたことで高層ビルかどうか全く分からなくなっているので不適切な改変。人物写真の釈由美子とパトリック・ハーランでは顔写真のように改変していますが、顔以外の身体のラインも写っている方が痩せてるとかグラマーとかいうその人の特徴が出るので、元の写真の方が秀逸。
このほかにもあるので、各記事で元の写真がいいのか0607crpさんの編集写真の方がいいのか各々議論した方がいいと思います。如何でしょうか?--Neuropower (talk) 18:21, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

While choice of images is totally up to the contributors’ decisions, I can engage in discussion about choice of images on particular articles. But, again, please note that I never enforce someone to use images I edited or uploaded and you can edit any articles including images on your own decision.
