Thanks for uploading File:Coat of arms of the Collectivity of Saint Martin.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Mass reverts on flags
editHi Juanqianguo, you have mass-reverted a large number of flags without giving any rationale. I've opened a discussion at COM:AN#Mass reverts on flags. --AFBorchert (talk) 07:20, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Before I explain why I reverted the flags, I have to say that I wasn't sure what to say while reverting before I revert files at 05:25, 1 November 2023 (UTC).
- Here are some of reasons of reverting the flags:
- 1. Correcting the colors and designs.:
- A miss is always be as good as mile, so all I want to do is to make the flags more identical to the version according to the official sources, but I don't have the purpose of vandalise them at all. Some of the versions of the flags before my revision is the old or unofficial designs of them like Afghanistan, Belize, Cyprus, Eswatini and so on, and the other flags I reverted was for correcting colors like Belgium, Colombia. Here are the proofs: (The countries which are mentioned are in alphabetical order)
- Afghanistan (Design): (Last version before my revision, unofficial) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/c/cd/20231030033854%21Flag_of_Afghanistan_%282013%E2%80%932021%29.svg, (Real file image that is exist and same to the last version before my revision) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3f/Flag_of_Afghanistan_%282004%E2%80%932021%2C_variant%29.svg, (Correct image) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cd/Flag_of_Afghanistan_%282013%E2%80%932021%29.svg
- Belgium (Colors): (Last version before my revert) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/6/65/20231030040512%21Flag_of_Belgium.svg, (Correct image) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/65/Flag_of_Belgium.svg
- Belize (Design): (Last version before my revision, used between 1981 and 2019) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/e/e7/20231030033307%21Flag_of_Belize.svg, (Real file image that is exist and same to the last version before my revision)https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/82/Flag_of_Belize_%281981%E2%80%932019%29.svg, (Correct image) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e7/Flag_of_Belize.svg
- Colombia (Colors): (Last version before my revert) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/2/21/20231030041238%21Flag_of_Colombia.svg, (Correct image) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/21/Flag_of_Colombia.svg
- Cyprus (Design): (Last version before my revision, used between 1960 and 2006) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/d/d4/20231030034251%21Flag_of_Cyprus.svg, (Real file image that is exist and same to the last version before my revision) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/56/Flag_of_Cyprus_%281960%E2%80%932006%29.svg, (Correct image) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Cyprus#/media/File:Flag_of_Cyprus.svg
- Eswatini (Design): (Last version before my revision, used between 1968 and 2011, while the former name of Eswatini was Swaziland) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/f/fb/20231030034126%21Flag_of_Eswatini.svg, (Real file image that is exist and same to the last version before my revision) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Eswatini#/media/File:Flag_of_Swaziland_(1968%E2%80%932011).svg, (Correct image) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Eswatini#/media/File:Flag_of_Eswatini.svg
- 2. Revert to the versions that is near to some image resources.

- Some of the version of flags designs like Norfolk Island before my revision was totally different from the image resources. Here's the proof:
- The tree in the middle of the image of the last revision before my revert (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/4/48/20230829234249%21Flag_of_Norfolk_Island.svg), is not only change the Norfolk Island pine in the middle of the correct image (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/48/Flag_of_Norfolk_Island.svg), which is identical to this picture. YIIBUGRADIO (talk) 06:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- I really don't want the old revisions make mistakes on the flags, so that was the reason why I revert the flags back. YIIBUGRADIO (talk) 06:36, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- Mass reverting on flags without any rationale isn't bearable, so I promise that I'll never do that again. YIIBUGRADIO (talk) 08:37, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
