Adeyto pictures upload

Thanks for commenting on my picture uploads. I didn't understand one thing though, did you mean I should write on the Adeyto Official Site something about licensing the pictures in Wikipedia, or write in each uploaded picture in Wikipedia a link to the official site?

I would totally hate to have the pictures erased by Wiki editors for any random reasons like they did before. I totally AM the photographer/editor of every single picture I uploaded.

Sorry about deleting it before cropping, but I thought making a JPEG screenshot of a zoomed in JPEG would illustrate JPEG artifacts along with restoration? :At the same time as you uploaded yours, I have made a lossless (i.e. as much info as in that part of the original) crop using jpegtran, will upload it.

I do not know what you’ve made your crop of — the original image zoomed in, or the screenshot — so I have reverted my upload. Hello, Can you help me a bit. I'm not very experienced with Commons. Could you please put back the picture Lecture at Output.jpg involved Yuri Landman on wikipedia? This request is nonsense. There are no rights on the pic shown on the screen at all. Какие-то проблемы с масштабированием

Добрый день. Я примерно год назад загрузил файл Image:Skavenblajt.gif, для того что бы использовать его в статье ru:Многопользовательский мир, и тогда все отображалось нормально. А сейчас что то произошло с масштабированием изображения: когда смотришь его в уменьшенном виде буквы сливаются и искажаются. Это началось примерно недели 2 назад. Не могли бы вы разобраться с этой проблемой. Заранее благодарен.--Umnik (talk) 12:45, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Возможно, по какой‐то причине была создана новая уменьшенная версия, с использованием других настроек и других версий ПО (после перевода серверов на Ubuntu). Или размер уменьшенной версии изменился (например, в настройках).

А не нарушает ли оно авторские права, будучи производной работой от текста игры?

«Бесплатная» не значит «свободная». Можно ли переименовать загруженные файлы?

Доброго времени суток. Мне тут один товарищ подсказал, что я неправильно назвал загруженные изображения Image:Apostle Matthew in cathedral of Vilnius.JPG и Image:Apostle Luke in cathedral in Vilnius.JPG. На самом деле наоборот - апостол Лука должен быть с бычком, а апостол Матвей с ангелом. Можно ли это поправить? --Umnik (talk) 18:41, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Можно поставить на них шаблоны {{Rename}} с новым именем в качестве параметра, или самому закачать файлы наоборот (как новые версии), и поменять местами описания, а те, что не на месте, удалить (можно сначала удалить, чтобы в истории не мешались). Hey AVRS. According to the Mozilla trademark policy, the logo is free to use as long as:

• It is non-confusing and non-disparaging
• It is not used commercially
• It is not modified
• It is not high resolution([1])

So, I see no reason to delete this image. FlyingToaster (talk) 03:11, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

It is used in Wikipedia through the “fair use” exceptions, which do not make the logo free. For an image to be free, it must be allowed to use it commercially and to modify it. Although limitations on that, when done through trademarks, are often just mentioned at Commons using {{Trademarked}}, limitations done through copyright (about:rights in the recent nightly builds says no rights on trademarks and logos are given, without explicitly putting them under the MPL) make the image non-free. When and if the new copyright freedom of the logos mentioned here (comment 12 and below) is confirmed officially, this image could probably be restored. --AVRS (talk) 15:38, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I think that’s a good way to get it deleted or to get someone to create a free version. Искать, кто автор, если он известен; когда умер, и было ли изображение опубликовано анонимно. Может, найдётся что‐нибудь, подходящее под {{PD-Russia-2008}} или {{PD-old}}…

На http://visualrian.ru они (РИА Новости) продают несколько «Фото из личного архива Е.Коваленко», в английской версии это «Photo from the personal archive of Y. Kovalenko.», начала 1920‑х и 1930‑х годов. Правда, у этой же фотографии в качестве автора почему‐то указано «РИА Новости, STF».

РИА Новости это вообще воры. Я уже был на ихнем сайте и смотрел разные фотографии которые можно загрузить. Эти умники везде поставили себя как авторов, и на исторические фото и даже на картины. Я им написал емаил с просьбой разъяснить политику авторских прав ни ответа ни привета. Только денги хотят. Хотел Вас ещё спросить. Я вот создал категорию http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Red_Army_symbols картинки из одной книжки. Какая лицензия там может быть? Ну, вроде, эта фотография в Паутине в основном благодаря РИА Новости. А может, и нет: у tineye не очень большая база изображений.

Насчёт знаков различия не уверен, но CC BY-SA не подходит, особенно если отсканировано. Если не PD-old и т. п., и не охраняется, то {{PD-RU-exempt}}, хотя я не смог найти вне Википедии прямого утверждения о том, что они относятся к «государственным символам и знакам». В статье ru:Воинские звания в армии РФ изображения погонов, загруженные разными участниками, помечены именно PD-RU-exempt.

Deletions request fo screenshots with non-free logos

Hi, good idea, i had not seen that mozilla and ubuntu logos were are non-free. I removed this logos in images that i uploads, wich really transferred it from english wikipedia. I see File:Debian4.png, and suggest cut the bottom bar (mozilla logos appear two times), and instead delete images like this we would have remove non-free areas as possible, thanks Shooke (talk) 19:41, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Don’t know. I think that license on its wiki is not enough to be sure (not counting that it says about CC BY and links to CC BY-SA). If the text license does not apply to the logo, it might mean that Edubuntu has received some artwork under CC BY, modified it and made non-free. Replacing / pixelizing / cutting the non-free parts of is the most useful way, but there is so many of such images that it can hardly be done to all of them; and people are uploading new ones. Some also claim “de minimis” or even fair use…

Cutting the bottom bar off of that image would stop the image from being an illustration (as intended) of an operating system appearance. The logo could be replaced though…

Вырезание прямоугольной части из изображения (англ.

) не делает Вас её автором, и не даёт права на добавление условий cc-by-sa-3.0. Если бы изображение действительно было в общественном достоянии, то и вырезка была бы в общественном достоянии, а автора (и/или источник) всё равно надо было бы указывать настоящего (с пометкой, что обрезано). --AVRS (talk) 17:46, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Да да я это знаю. Проблемма возникла из-за того что сначала я увидил маленькую вырезку где "автор" "давал" её добровольно. А уже позже увинел оригинал и сразу же обратился к вам. А что "насчёт", я тогда ещё не знал что у нас есть такие хорошие и разбирающиеся в теме администраторы. Как вы уже прочитали мне уже тогда показалась странным что у этого изображения нету автора и нормального источника. Человек, который загрузил это автора так и не назвал. Источник только какой-то пропагандисткий сайтик. Я по наивности попросил указать оригинальный источник, так как возможно там указан автор. МутерЕрде сказал что это книжка "Беломорканал". Я просмотрел эту книгу; Сталин там на 3 и 555 странице, но этой фотографии там нету. Так что с Новым Годом!--Jaro.p (talk) 10:23, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I discovered this game thanks to this file, it's like Worms but online and in real-time, and is a lot of fun. ;) The logo is non-free because, as you had the idea, the logo is not part of the game, thus it is not licensed with the provided free software license. Freesound file deletions

Hi, Please look at link http://creativecommons.org/licenses/sampling+/1.0/ where it explicity states that

You are free:

• To sample, mash-up, or otherwise creatively transform this work for commercial or noncommercial purposes.
• To perform, display, and distribute copies of this whole work for noncommercial purposes (e.g., file-sharing or noncommercial webcasting).

You will note that all the files are sampled extracts and not the whole work. I would recommend that this be discussed with others before deletion.

If the license is in error it is probably due to the lack of the required option in the drop down and I think I had included a license link on the descriptions. It would be good if the licensing is fixed instead of merely deleting it. Shyamal (talk) 13:19, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
