Det var standard meldingen laget av en mal ;) Det er viktig å få med geografiske kategorier på bilder fra Norge også, alle kommuner har f.eks. egen Commonskategori (i hovedregelen bare kommunenavnet). Finn Rindahl 10:57, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

You missed my point completely: I did not copy anything but an argument from the Master - and commented on it by expanding it. My text, translated word for word in German: "Dies ist auch nicht eine Pfeife". Just compare, and that should be self-evident: He PAINTED a very bent pipe-model (Krummpfeife), while I DREW a moderately bent model ("Woodsman" or something thereabout). (Quality of works is also a point in my favour). I may do illustrations to show something, but I take care not to copy too closely, and I do it in a different medium. If you still insist, I can supply a Churchwarden instead - or a reasonable Corn-cob - but don't tell me that I copy anything but a philosophical headline that has been expanded in words over and over again.--Bjørn som tegner 21:44, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

So you want to tell me that just changing it a little bit should be enough to cheat Commons:Derivative works. The administrator who deleted it was obviously not of your opinion, and since you first wrote me, I asked around with the same result. But if it makes you happy I can restore it and make a normal deletion request but I can already predict the outcome so I think it would be a waste of time. -- Cecil 22:50, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

All right: It is always interesting to have a look at own work with a strangers eye. In retrospective, I think that my texting of the picture-surface is the stumbling-block. There can be no forbidding to present a drawing of a pipe. But any text, but signature and year, should be kept on the outside. So you may delete this one - but evaluate the next one, which will be same pipe drawing, but after the use of an eraser. (Text outside of frame will explain what happened at original exhibition (no-pipe + treachery of imgs).) Almost sorry for your trouble, but I still feel there is a way around to submit some illustrations without violating anyones rights. You may take a look at no:Piet Mondrian and tell me that my squares are too like the next to perfect patterns of that master, and anyone with some sense of esthetics can tell that that is not so. I completed your deletion request by adding a subpage to Commons:Deletion requests. Your ickepipe looks nothing like Magritte's ickepipe, so I am not sure if it has to be deleted. Ö 16:00, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Agreed, but on closer consideration, I think User:Cecil is more right than I was. It is the constellation that constitutes the derivativeness. I used an erasor on the original drawing, which now is resubmitted as: "Pipnotxt" + explanation of why this drawing is part of an article about Magritte. So just comply to my request, please! Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

your painting

Thanks for liking it! I do too since it was a challenge to get it like I wanted it. The standing point was just inside from the shore of Obrestad lighthouse to my left, looking northwards. Painting from photo and memory - in oil. The balls consist of ensilaged grass wrapped in heavy plastic flakes. They were taken along to mark that the painting was from our own time. The sky is typical of that type of coastline, it seems to me. Jæren is a fascinating landscape and always worth of a revisit.

Once ago I was in Jæren too it's a fascinating landscape, although I like mountains with water landscapes a bit better :) Nevertheless there is a fantastic light for doing pantings.
