Notification about possible deletion edit

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

File copyright status edit

Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. Эlcobbola talk 18:14, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Uploading from Flickr edit

Hi, I noticed you're uploading a lot of images from Flickr. To avoid upload copyvio images and to make it easier to enter the source info, I recommend using Flickr2Commons or Flinfo, which will both fill out the source information correctly and let you know if a Flickr license is incompatible with Commons. It'll help you avoid the case like earlier, where you misspelled Chris Hagerman (not "Hangerman"). Ytoyoda (talk) 14:38, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, wanted to bring this to your attention, because you might have noticed that you've entered incorrect license information here and [here. Using one of the Flickr/Commons tools can help you avoid that (plus wasting time uploading unfree photos). Ytoyoda (talk) 20:15, 25 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hey, one more reminder that uploading Flickr photos are easier and less messier with one of the tools I mentioned above. I say this because you keep misspelling Chris Hagerman's name and use the wrong license for every photo you upload. Ytoyoda (talk) 19:01, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Flickr2Commons edit

I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool. To use it, you just need to go to the url and authorize it (where it says "authorise first"). Elisfkc (talk) 17:30, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, saying "Flickr" as a source does not work. You need to have the url of the image as the source, and add {{Flickrreview}} to the file somewhere. --Elisfkc (talk) 17:41, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Flickr Image Review Warning edit

You are not a License Reviewer. You cannot pass licence reviews, especially on your own photos after they have already failed (like you did on File:Copperhead Strike 1.jpg). This is your only warning. Failure to comply may result in a block. --Elisfkc (talk) 17:48, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

In case you missed the message the first time, don't do this. Thanks. Ytoyoda (talk) 20:03, 2 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
