Glasmaler und Kunstglaser: Gefährdung ihrer Daseinsberechtigung?

Gelernter Glasmaler und Kunstglaser Martin Halter CH-Bern

Von jeher wurde (wird) ihre Präsenz und ihre Aktivitäten unter Einflussnahme Dritter fremd und entscheidend mitbestimmt. Im 12. Jahrthundert waren es die klösterlichen Hauptfunktionäre (Bischöfe /Äbte), die ihnen ihre Visionen übertrugen, was sie als Glasmaler in Form von farbigen Glasfenstern zu thematisieren hätten. Selbstverständlich wurde ihnen weitgehend auch das gesamte gestalterische Konzept als Bedingung zur Aufgabenerfüllung auferlegt.

Heute im 21. Jahrhundert, hat sich ihre Situation kaum wesentlich verändert oder einvernehmlich verbessert. Insbesondere was ihre Arbeitserfüllung im öffentlichen Bereich darzustellen vermag. Zum Beispiel: ihr aktueller Einsatz zur Pflege und für den Unterhalt von Glasmalereien /Glasgemälden beschränkt sich in ihrer Funktion als ‚Standart’-Glasmaler, sich eher zurückhaltend, im Sinne eines Befehlsempfänger ihre Dienste nur auf Abruf anzubieten. An ihren in der Praxis erworbenen Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen an vorderster Arbeitsfront, ist man aus wissenschaftlicher Anschauung, nicht eigentlich interessiert. Andererseits obliegt heute, vielen offiziellen oder inoffiziellen Experten fast ausnahmslos die alleinige Beurteilung und das Entscheidungsdiktat, welchen technischen Verbindlichkeiten sich der Ausführende betreffend Restauration von originaler Glasmalerei unterzuordnen hat. Ein gelernter Glasmaler und Kunstglaser muss also vorerst seinen eigenen Standpunkt eingehend überdenken, ob er sich autorisiert fühlen darf, mit einer Anmerkung oder mit einem Vorschlag zu einem technischen Problem (Mängel) einen Beitrag bei zu fügen. Die Erfahrung lehrt, dass zum falschen Zeitpunkt gemachte Einwände, sich schnell zu einem Ende einer Zusammenarbeit - zwischen theoretischen Überzeugungen und praxisnaher Erfahrung - entwickeln kann. Dieser aktuellen Situation sind sich viele nicht bewusst oder wenn doch, will man solches nicht zur Kenntnis nehmen.

Falls sich solche widersprüchlichen Sachverhalte im Umgang und mit der Sicherung von Original-Substanz in der Alltagsszene zunehmend weiter standartisieren sollte, was zwischen wissenschaftlichler Begleitung und den eigentlichen Machern (Glasmalern) zu verstehen ist, muss es niemanden wundern, wenn gerade die originale Substanz in einem solch angespannten Verhältnis, am meisten darunter zu leiden hat. Einem gelernten Glasmaler oder einer gelernten Glasmalerin mit langjähriger Erfahrungs-Praxis, nicht in einen wesentlichen Entscheidungsprozess mit einbinden zu wollen, ist kaum nachvollziehbar. Einerseits will man ein über Jahrhunderte altes, kunsthistorisches Erbe vor dem Verfall bewahren und andererseits will man aktive, sich mit der Materie identifizierbare GlasmalerInnen, bewusst oder unbewusst auf Distanz halten. Vielleicht, um sich nicht unnötigerweise mit ihren durchaus berechtigten Anmerkungen auseinandersetzen zu müssen. Die Botschaft ist angekommen: offenbar gibt man sich der Vision hin, auf diesem Weg einer unfehlbaren Entscheidung näher zu kommen, sodass eine Entscheidung schneller durchgezogen werden kann. Dabei werden aber unbemerkt, Stellungnahmen auch zu wichtigen Details von vornherein vergessen und überhaupt nicht angesprochen.

Selbst dann, wenn man sich darauf einigen könnte, dass der, die langjährig erfahrene Glasmaler(in) gewissermassen, auch als noch aktiv lebende Original-Substanz anzuerkennen ist. Nicht automatisch muss es für einen Entscheidungsträger /Experten aus dem kunsthistorisch-wissenschaftlichen Bereich, den Risikofaktor beinhalten, sich vielleicht auch einmal in einer Angelegenheit zu irren.. In einem unverkrampften Dialog zwischen kunsthistorisch-wissenschaftlicher und praxisbezogener Sachlichkeit, könnten Missverständnisse zu fachspezifischen Fragen effizienter geklärt werden. Sobald man sich über die Befindlichkeiten originaler Substanz unterhält, sollte man sich von personifizierten Eitelkeiten fernhalten und nicht zugleich am eigenen Gesichtsverlust nachtrauern, sofern man sich gerade in einer Annahme zu einem Problem getäuscht hatte. Also, inwieweit man von einer sachdienlichen Lösung sprechen kann, wenn Theoretiker schnell darauf aus sind, bei Bedarf sich zur eigenen Gesichtswahrung, vor unbequemen Fragen oder wichtigen Hinweisen von GlasmalerInnen aus der Praxis primär schützen wollen. Es führt vielfach dazu, dass man sich als Experten mit kunsthistorisch-wissenschaftlicher Ausrichtung, etwas vorschnell von solchen Praktikern einfach entledigt, nur weil diese sich am Entscheidungsprozess über Massnahmen mitbeteiligen /einbringen möchten? Einstmals werden sich, wohl spätere Generationen darüber die Köpfe zerbrechen müssen! Warum in einer so gewichtigen, sachlichen Angelegenheit, soviel Platz der Unsachlichkeit zugestanden bleibt?

Übrigens auch für Wettbewerbs-Ausschreibungen zwecks Gestaltung /Integration von neuen Farbfenstern im öffentlichen Raum, sind gelernte Glasmaler oder Kunstglaser äusserst selten als Teilnehmer (Gewinner!) auszumachen oder in einer Jury als Mitentscheidungsträger zugelassen /vertreten. Eine erkenntnisreiche Bilanz: er oder sie bleiben als Glasmaler/in /Kunstglaser/in bis auf Weiteres fremd bestimmt. In der Regel verändert sich allerdings der Stellenwert einer Glasmalerin /eines Glasmalers nach ihrem /seinem Ableben. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote. If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. Otherwise, consider an alternative outlet. Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
