Notification about possible deletionEdit

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Certain photos can be kept, but the permission must be very clear. A lot of your uploads do not have permission. For instance File:ABU_journalists_Penang.jpg is from another user, but you made the upload; same with File:Baragounianvillage3.JPG. File:1200 Mics' grandmother, as a child.jpg this one has no date, no author, so the ownership is doubtful. File:KHushnood Nabizada Kabul.jpg has no EXIF and is a BW photo of small dimensions: why do not upload the full, original version? And so on… --Ruthven (msg) 05:36, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello Shxahxh,

the following content you uploaded is not free and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

File:Abbas Alizada (9).jpg

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files which can be used for any purpose, including:

  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload works you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

File copyright statusEdit

Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your recent file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. Ruthven (msg) 20:27, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

So post that to Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Shxahxh.   — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 22:36, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello. Help improve for [2]. Thanks you. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) 09:26, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Flickr change of license for File:Tajikistani boys.jpgEdit

Hi Shxahxh, when images are uploaded from Flickr to Commons the correct way, a bot checks the license on Flickr and creates a record of his findings[3]. When the Flickr-user at a later point of time changes the license for his images on Flickr to a more restrictive license, this is legally not relevant for the previous upload to Commons. One can then add the {{Change-of-license}} template, but there is no need at all to delete the image from Commons. --Túrelio (talk) 11:23, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

@Túrelio:Thanks! I will be careful about these issues.--Shxahxh (talk) 11:44, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
