du hast das Bild File:Attac I-Steuer 060228Paris7.JPG, das ich von der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia nach Commons transferiert habe mit einem Baustein gekennzeichnet. Hallo Trockennasenaffe, in der Tat hatte ich mich dabei verguckt und nicht gesehen, dass der ursprüngliche Uploader sich selbst als Urheber angegeben hatte. Das Bild zeigt NICHT, wie von Dir kategorisiert und "checked" einen Hersteller elektrischer Kleingeräte (Category:Household appliance manufacturers), Schwarzenberg im Erzgebirge (Category:Schwarzenberg/Erzgeb.) und eine Firma in Deutschland (Category:Companies of Germany), sondern eine Badewanne (Category:Bathtubs) aus verzinktem Blech (Category:Zinc plated steel). -- Ies (talk) 16:50, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Moin, ich beziehe mich dabei ausschließlich auf den urheberrechtlichen Status. Die Kategorien stammen von CommonSense und ich kann sie nicht immer auf Richtigkeit überprüfen, da ich mich dafür im Kategoriensystem auf Commons zu wenig auskenne. In dem von Dir angesprochenen Fall hätte ich aber nochmal besser hinschauen und ggf. mit dem Kategorien-überprüfen-Baustein versehen sollen, da geb ich Dir Recht. Hallo Yellowcard,

das Bild hatte ich nur zur Ortsbestimmung in [1] vorgesehen und deshalb lediglich in der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia hochgeladen. Wegen der eher bescheidenen Qualität samt Blitzlichtreflex hätte ich es dann hinterher wieder löschen lassen. Ich zweifle, ob es unbedingt eine Bereicherung für Commons darstellt. Hallo, nein, in der englischen Wikipedia gibt es das sogenannte "Fair Use", was es ermöglicht, auch geschützte Werke unter bestimmten Bedingungen zu nutzen. Das ist hier und in den meisten Wikipedias nicht erlaubt. Das Bild wird nach Ablauf der Frist dann sicherlich gelöscht (ich habe hier keine Lösch-Rechte). I noticed that you modified COM:CUR#Germany. Then could you check whether something needs to be done with de:Deutsche Euromünzen? I notice two things:

• Many images seem to be light images without permission from the photographer.
• The edge of the €2 coins is clearly below the threshold of originality. Some coin sides may also be below the threshold of originality, and this may in particular be true for the coat of arms coins, especially if this Finnish copyright statement also holds in Germany. --Stefan4 (talk) 00:23, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

• Yes, at least photos with visible 3D effects (shadows etc.) have to be deleted when they are not under a free license by the photographer. This is fully independent of the status of the coins themselves. Referring to the linked article: It seems to be the case in most of the photos.
• I don't know who the Euro coins are published by; as it is European currency I'm taking in doubt that German copyright law applies.
  • I found an interesting article. I don't know how reliable it is, but according to this article, the designers of the Euro coins have assigned (and are assigning for current / future cases) the copyright (within the borders this is possible) to the EZB that re-assigned the copyright to the countries the coins are published. I guess for Germany this means the Deutsche Bundesbank is the copyright owner and would be able to put the designs under a free license. I do not believe they will do so, though. I tend to agree to your conclusion, at least regarding the Brandenburger Tor. The oak leaf could be public domain due to its age as it seems to be adapted from the Pfennig and maybe from some other, previous currency. The eagle (Bundesadler) could be public domain due to its simplicity and as it is a traditional icon. We could try to contact the Bundesbank, the federal bank, to clarify the copyright situation in general. (Thinking of this, I know someone working at the Bundesbank. @Ireas: Oh, my conclusion refers to the 2-Euro-Gedenkmünzen, I did not pay attention too much to the standard coins. Concerning the leaf I agree, I guess the eagle is in the PD as well. The Brandenburger Tor itself is clearly not copyrighted – do you think the stylization of it itself deserves a protection? I'm not sure about that matter. Bilder Kurt Seipel

Hallo, Du hast mich darüber informiert, dass bei den Bildern File:Kurt Seipel (Bild-Mitte).jpg und File:Kurt Seipel, Meine Jugend blieb im Eis Sibiriens.jpg die Genehmigung des Urhebers bzw. Rechteinhabers fehlt. Dazu folgende Information meinerseits:

Ich kannte Kurt Seipel persönlich. Er hat mir im Jahr 2000 persönlich beide Bilder im Original geschenkt (im Zusammenhang damit, dass mein Vater ihm mehrfach das Leben gerettet hat - siehe WP-Artikel "Kurt Seipel") und mir dazu auch die weiteren Nutzungsrechte mündlich erteilt. Ich habe bei beiden Bildern die Bildinformationen dementsprechend geändert. Eine schriftliche Bestätigung dafür habe ich leider nicht. Allerdings: ich denke doch auch, dass das von mir hochgeladene Bild der Widmung des Buches Kurt Seipels für mich eine Bestätigung dafür darstellt und im Sinne des Willens Kurt Seipels zu verstehen ist, dass ich beide Bilder verwenden (und deshalb auch auf commons.wikimedia rechtmäßig hochladen) darf. Nachdem Kurt Seipel bereits 2004 verstorben ist, wird es leider nicht mehr möglich sein, eine weitere schriftliche Bestätigung zur rechtmäßigen Nutzung der Bilder von ihm zu bekommen. Ich hoffe, dass die von mir genannten Informationen ausreichen, die Bilder auf commons.wikimedia und damit auch im entsprechenden Wikipedia-Artikel über Kurt Seipel zu belassen. Treffe bitte keine einsamen Entscheidungen! - Label sind immer marken-/urheberrechtlich geschützt; alle Flaschen mit Label sind/wären somit zu löschen, da sie deutliche Schöpfungshöhe aufweisen. Bei File:La Choffe Likör.JPG handelt es sich ferner um ein belgisches Label - und die >Brauerei< ist sicherlich dankbar, für meinen unter de.wp angelegten Artikel ... mit meinen zeitaufwendig hochgeladenen Fotos ... mit diversen Zwergen. --- Die unsägliche und imho übermotivierte "Angelegenheit" bitte >woanders< vollständig - mit allen Konsequenzen für den sodann anstehenden "Bildersturm" unter Commons - ausdiskutieren und diverse (ganz viele) 3M abwarten, bevor der unsägliche Bildersturm losgetreten wird! --- Soviel Zeit wirst du wohl nun auch noch haben, wo du alleine 4-Jahre Zeit für den imho völlig überflüssigen LA benötigt hast! Ich treffe diese Entscheidung nicht, sondern ein Admin. Das mit der Schöpfungshöhe sehe ich anders. Und was die Brauerei angeht: Wenn sie das Label unter eine freie Lizenz stellen, sind andere Probleme gelöst. Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Cropping of File:17_Hard_Seltzers.jpg

I saw you cropped my photograph File:17_Hard_Seltzers.jpg. In my opinion the cropped image is so much different from the original file that it would have been better to make the cropped image into a new file (File:17_Hard_Seltzers_(cropped).jpg perhaps) so both can be used. Hello FakirNL, of course I agree - I thought that the cropped version would be clearly of better use, but there are good arguments to have two different files.
