Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Ciao, vanno precisati meglio i dettagli di tutte le immagini che hai caricato con la dicitura "self made". Ci sono foto del 2016 e del 1944, per cui appare improbabile che siano state scattate dalla stessa persona. Allora: per ogni foto è necessario indicare data, autore (se è ignoto ci va comunque scritto) e fonte (per esempio se le hai scannerizzate da un libro vanno inseriti i relativi riferimenti, compreso il numero di pagina). Per quanto riguarda la licenza, puoi rilasciare con la licenza creative commons le foto scattate da te oppure quelle prese da fonti che esplicitamente dichiarano di rilasciare l'immagine secondo tale licenza. Altrimenti, le foto (prive di carattere creativo scattate in Italia oltre vent'anni fa) vanno pubblicate con licenza {{PD-Italy}}.--Antenor81 (talk) 05:28, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ancora sulle licenze

Allora, rispetto alle molte immagini che hai pubblicato riguardanti la Chiesa dell'Assunta di Nizza di Sicilia (che ora puoi trovare raccolte qui) ti segnalo che:

Le immagini precedenti al 1976 sono nel pubblico dominio e quindi sono perfettamente in regola.
Le immagini pubblicate tra il 1976 e il 1996 sono nel pubblico dominio in Italia, ma non in tutto il mondo, quindi rischiano di venire cancellate da Commons (nel tuo caso, si tratta di questa, questa e questa). Scorrendo in basso una di quelle pagine puoi leggere tutte le informazioni del caso.
Le immagini successive al 1996 le hai per lo più pubblicate con la licenza self CC-0, e va bene, ma questo puoi farlo solo se sei tu il detentore del copyright, invece le foto sono a nome di tre autori diversi (Francesco Lipari, Antonino Lenzo e Giovanni Raneri). Se tu sei uno di questi (immagino il primo), allora devi specificarlo nel campo autore della pagina di descrizione dell'immagine (oltre a nome e cognome, aggiungi il tuo nome utente Wikimedia). Per gli altri autori, non puoi essere tu a rilasciare le loro foto in pubblico dominio, ma devono farlo direttamente loro. Quindi, o si fanno loro stessi degli account da cui caricare le immagini, oppure devono inviare una comunicazione esplicita e formale in cui dicono con quale licenza intendono rilasciare ciascuna immagine.--Antenor81 (talk) 10:38, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Due delle foto a nome Francesco Lipari (questa e questa) hanno come indicazione un generico "Creative commons" che non è sufficiente. Se l'autore sei tu, inserisci anche in quelle una licenza valida, come nelle altre.
