Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Kategoryzacja plików z zasobów archiwum edit

@User:Kustoszka Hej! Super że uda się udostępnić wiele zasobów Archiwum. Ale trzeba zrobić porządek za kategoriami. Bo mamy Category:Media contributed by the State Archive in Poznań i Category:Media contributed by the National Archives in Poznań, oraz drugi przykład Category:Collections of the State Archive in Poznań i Category:Collections of the National Archives in Poznań. Warto by było to na samym początku uporządkować. I jeśli mogę podpowiedzieć to nie warto wrzucać plików jeszcze raz do Category:National Archives in Poznań Pzdr. Teraz wszystko ok, tylko powstało zapętlenie Category:State Archive in Poznań jest skategoryzowane w Category:Collections of the State Archive in Poznań, które też skategoryzowane w [[:Category:State Archive in --Jarekt (talk) 14:07, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Poznań]]. Co do komunikacji w projektach wikimedia, wystarczy że klikniesz zanjdujący się obok mojego podpisu link (dyskusja(. U góry strony jest zakładka dodaj temat. Pamiętaj, żeby podpisywać czterema "~" (tyldami). Potem zapisujesz. A kolejne odpowiedzi w danym temacie, to wystarczy, że będziesz go edytował. Kapsuglan (talk) 15:56, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Może podpowiedzią dla was niech będzie Category:Bundesarchiv. Bo osobiście nadal nie widzę sensu wrzucania załadowanych plików do głównej kategorii, jak są dwie Category:Collections of the State Archive in Poznań, Category:Media contributed by the State Archive in Poznań które w zupełności wystarczają do katalogowania wrzucanych plików. To tylko luźne sugestie, bo nie mam pojęcia jak was Wikimedia Polska poinstruowała, a nie chciałbym się wtrącać, bo to oni mają większe doświadczenie ode mnie. Michał, widzę ze dużo pracujesz nad dokumentami z Archiwum w Poznaniu. Jeśli masz jakieś pytania lub jeśli mogę w czymś pomoc to powiedz. Dzis wieczorem (za 12 godzin) popatrzę na nowe pliki z archiwum i w razie czego popoprawiam. Także powiedz jeśli masz jakieś zadania dla mojego bota. Udostępnianie zbiorów AP osobom prywatnym edit

Próbowałem przebrnąć przez stronę archiwum i odnaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie, co muszę jako osoba prywatna zrobić by uzyskać dostęp do starych akt urodzenia w celach badań geneaologicznych. Czy wystarczy, przyjdę i poproszę o akta o konkretnej sygnaturze i zapłacę jakieś pieniądze? Bo chciałbym uzyskać do Księgi urodzeń z 1901 roku z Piły, bo wtedy i prawdopodobnie tam urodził się mój pradziadek. Na stronie szukajwarchiwach.pl nie ma dostępnych skanów tej księgi. W sprawie aktu fundacji klasztoru dominikańskiego w Poznaniu edit

Dzień dobry,

Na wstępie chciałbym podziękować AP w Poznaniu za niezwykle cenny wkład w rozwój repozytorium Wikimedia Commons. Zwracam się z dość nietypową sprawą. Otóż kilka lat temu opublikowałem nieopatrznie na Commons fotokopię aktu fundacji klasztoru Dominikanów w Poznaniu (akt wystawiono w Gnieźnie w 1244 r.). Plik pochodził z nieodżałowanego serwisu dziedzictwo.polska.pl. Problem w tym, że na pliku widoczna była pieczęć. Jak wiadomo, fotografie obiektów trójwymiarowych nie są uznawane wyłącznie za wierną reprodukcję utworu - stanowią "samodzielny" utwór. W konsekwencji publikacja naruszała zasady przyjęte przez stowarzyszenie Wikimedia Commons w dziedzinie praw autorskich, a plik został usunięty w 2011 r. Wobec tego chciałem zapytać Państwa: Czy akt fundacji klasztoru Dominikanów w Poznaniu pochodzi z Państwa zbiorów? Czy (oczywiście, jeśli akt znajduje się w AP w Poznaniu) mogliby Państwo rozważyć digitalizację tego dokumentu i zamieszczenie fotokopii na Wikimedia Commons? Z góry serdecznie dziękuję za odpowiedź.
