Thank you for providing images to the commons. Please keep in mind that images and other files on the commons must be under a free license and should be useful to the Wikimedia projects. To allow others to use your files, some additional information must be given on the description page. Most importantly:

• Describe what it is about in a short sentence. (What does the image show?)
• State the author and the date of creation. If you made it yourself, say so explicitly. If it is from another Wikipedia user, link to the person's local user page.
• If you did not create the file yourself, state the source you got it from.
• Add a copyright tag - images without an appropriate license tag will be deleted.
• Add the image to one or more gallery pages and/or appropriate categories, so it can be found by others. To find out where an image belongs, you can use CommonsSense.

If you copied the file from another wiki, please copy all information given there and say who uploaded it to that wiki.

It is recommended to use Template:Information to put that information on the description page. Have a look at Template talk:Information for details of the use of this template.

Image:SanVicente.PNG ha sido marcado como una infracción de copyright. Commons sólo acepta contenido libre, es decir, imágenes y otros ficheros multimedia que puedan ser utilizados por cualquier persona para cualquier propósito. Para detalles respecto de lo que es aceptable, lee Commons:Sobre las licencias, por favor. Puedes hacer preguntas en el Café. El fichero que subiste será borrado rápidamente. Ola Susana. Por tu apellido y contribuciones quizás pudiese hablar en gallego contigo, con lo cual me sentiría algo más cómodo. Por tu página de usuaria entiendo que tienes dificultades para encontrarte cómoda en Commons. Normalmente esas dificultades son debidas a la falta de información.

He dado contigo gracias a la foto Image:Cortegada.PNG. Le faltan datos para que no sea borrada. Voy a intentar explicarte en pocas palabras los datos que le faltan y alguna otra cosa. Si tienes dudas, si necesitas más aclaraciones, cualquier cosa que se te ocurra, contacta conmigo, es un placer encontrar usuarios que suban fotos de Galicia.

Paso a explicarte los datos que hacen falta para que las fotos no tengan problemas y como incorporarlos

¿Qué debes indicar?

De donde procede la imagen

• Si la imagen es de una página Web, es obligado colocar un enlace (link) al lugar exacto del que se recoge la imagen. Sea cual sea el origen de una imagen, en dicho origen tiene que poner que se permiten las obras derivadas y el uso comercial, a no ser que hayan pasado 70 años de la muerte del autor. Si en el sitio web no aparecen expresos estos conceptos la imagen podrá ser borrada por violación de los derechos de autor

• si la imagen es de tu propia autoría, indícalo claramente. Has indicado una licencia. La licencia indica que la foto la has hecho tú, pero es necesario que, si es así, lo especifiques escribiendo yo soy la autora (self made). El motivo es que muchos usuarios ponen una licencia al azar, por lo que se exige esplicitar el origen de la imagen. Si el objeto que fotografías tiene los derechos de autor restringidos (portada de un CD, de libros, programas de tele, pósters,...), tu foto también tiene esos derechos restringidos y no se puede subir a Commons.

• si la has copiado de otra Wikipedia, coloca un enlace exacto a la página de información de la imagen original. No basta decir solamente que la imagen se tomó de "otra Wikipedia"; es necesario indicar el lugar exacto. Ten en cuenta también que algunas otras Wikipedias, como la inglesa, admiten imágenes bajo la cláusula de fair use que aquí no son aceptables por cuestiones legales.

¿Cuál es la licencia de la imagen? (ya la has colocado, el caso es que sea correcta. Si es correcta, la foto Image:Cortegada.PNG la tienes que haber hecho tú)

• Si la imagen la has hecho tú, debes utilizar una de las admitidas y expresadas en Commons:Selector de licencias y Commons:Sobre las licencias, por ejemplo {{GFDL-self}} o {{PD-self}}.

• En caso de que sea copiada de algún sitio, debes poner la licencia que en ese sitio tenía.

Todas las imágenes que se suben a Commons deben permitir la realización de obras derivadas y el uso comercial. Pero hay más matices, de ahí que haya varias posibles licencias. La licencia PD-self coloca la imagen en el dominio público sin restricciones. En pocas palabras, la licencia GFDL-self obliga a que, si se utiliza la imagen se nombre al autor y el lugar de donde se obtuvo.

¿Cómo indicarlo cuando una imagen ya ha sido subida?

• Accede a tus fotos (todas tus contribuciones están aquí.

• Una vez que has accedido, haz click en la pestaña editar que está en la parte superior.

• Añade los datos precisos escribiendo en la página que aparece. Recuerda que los datos precisos son el origen de la foto y la licencia. La licencia hay que ponerla entre e paréntesis: {{PD-self}}, {{GFDL-self}}

• Guarda la página

¿Cómo indicarlo cuando vas a subir una imagen?

En el momento de la subida hay una caja en la que puedes escribir que pone Summary. Puedes poner ahí los datos y así no tienes que editar después la foto

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hola Susana. He visto tu mapa en la página Organización administrativa de Vigo y creo que no está actualizado ya que se incluyen algunas parroquias que han quedado incluídas en la de Vigo Centro (Vigo, Santiago de Vigo, Freixeiro, Coia, y Bouzas, así como algunos lugares de las de Lavadores y Comesaña). No es un reproche sino que, si eres tan maniática como yo, seguramente te gustará tenerlo todo al día. Varios usuarios de la Wikipedia Gallega hemos comprobado que algunos de los símbolos de Galicia subidos a través de la cuenta Susana Freixeiro contienen copyright por parte de alguna administración/institución gallega, esperamos desde la Wikipedia Gallega, que conteste en las páginas de discusión de sus imágenes a nuestros comentarios, y por favor, contéstelos en la discusión de su imagen de la Wikipedia Gallega, no desde Commons. Illas Cíes

Incrible o mapa das illas Cíes! Parabéns polo traballo. Se me permites uns comentarios atopei algunhas cousas que non me cadran cos datos do ficheiro Excel de toponimia. A do Piñón entendo que será Alto do Piñón, e para abreviar penso que habería que poñer A. do Piñón, onde di furna da Fornaca da Xetosa habería que poñer furna da Fornaca da Xestosa, pero que conste que non son un experto, só comento o que atopei no ficheiro de toponimia de Vigo. Outro detalle que se podería cambiar son os textos da lenda do mapa que están en inglés, habería que poñelos en galego coma o resto de textos.
