Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)

In other languages (translate this)

Please use SVG Thank you for uploading some images! Did you know that Wikimedia Commons recommends the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format for certain types of images? Scalable Vector Graphics are designed to look appropriate at any scale, and SVG images are easier to modify and translate, helping Wikimedia to distribute knowledge to all of the world. A lot of modern programs support SVG export. If you encountered problems or have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, a member of the Graphic Lab, or the Graphics village pump. Uploading images in SVG format isn't mandatory, but it would help. (To avoid any misunderstandings, please don't just put raster images into an SVG container as embedded raster.) Hi! If the author changes the Flickr licenses to be compatible with Commons (i.e. CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0, or PDM), then yes, you should be able to upload them. Otherwise, you will need to have the creator of the photographs (i.e. the photographer) send an email to the volunteer response team that contains a release of the vile under a valid free license.

If you are the creator of the photographs, there is no problem with you changing the licenses on Flickr and re-uploading. However, if the licenses on Flickr do not change, then we're going to need you to email the volunteer response team to confirm that you are indeed the copyright holder so that we can host them on Commons. Your Flickr uploads

Hi, I noticed a couple of things with your most recent uploads.

First, please make sure to link to the Flickr image page. It’s important to provide a links where other users can verify the source information, or potentially find more images that would benefit the project.

Second, all three images sourced to Flickr user emd111 are marked “all rights reserved”, which means they’re incompatible with Commons and will be deleted shortly. Now, you could contact the Flickr user and change the license to CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, or CC-Zero (licenses that don’t allow commercial or derivative use are not allowed here).
