Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Don't over-categorize

I have never asked you to make an "over-categorization" of files. I'm afraid you will misunderstand when I speak Chinese. Now I speak English and explain what I mean. I remember telling you two years ago that you should use a more precise category and not putting all photos in the "Buses in Taiwan" category. If you don't remember please look here and then come back. Now...stop doing so. I never asked you to do so or ever expected it and never wish that to happen again. I think this explanation is clear and speaks for itself. 現在我正在整理圓山轉運站的照片，除了你這一張照片之外，其他都有拍到圓山轉運站。從這些照片來看，圓山轉運站應該是有候車亭，就是外觀上看起來像遮雨棚，分別在玉門街與捷運站前。然而，我根據你拍這一張照片的背景環境來看，位置似乎在捷運站南邊，由玉門街的西側人行道上拍攝，也就是爭豔館對面。如果真是如此，那麼我不明白為何這裡會有圓山轉運站，還是我判斷位置錯了？由於照片是在2010年拍，不知道你是否還記得拍照位置，或者你可以回答你確定拍照地點是在圓山轉運站？--Kai3952 (talk) 18:03, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

• 他已經很多次都是這樣，既像是維基百科定義的「鬼祟破壞」，又像是「zh:Wikipedia:能力亦為必須」這種人，行為上共同特點就是難以察覺，也難以舉證，所以管理員通常對於他都不會封鎖，因此我沒辦法幫你。請注意「他已經很多次都是這樣」這句話，意味著他可能不止這一次對你如此將正確資訊改成錯誤資訊，所以我不知道他到底還對你多少張照片做了一樣的事。
• 這一次我能發現到，其實是剛好遇到，因為圓山捷運站周邊有很多公車站，基於分類需要，因此我花了時間去查。也就是說，如果這裡只有一個公車站，我只會看照片中提供的資訊去動手分類，根本不會察覺到問題，那麼你的照片就會跟著被歸類到錯誤的類別，除非是你自己會去追蹤你的照片被誰修改。因此我必須對你說，commons有很多人各司其職，而我只是「分類工作者」，本職是照片分類，這在我的首頁有介紹，所以我不見得每次會幫你注意。--Kai3952 (talk) 06:59, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
