你可以對自己bot創建的category頁面標題檢查一遍，看是否包含ascii和漢字字符以外的字符嘛？我改正的兩個都是U+25A1。

For very large pdfs, you can split them first using Adobe Acrobat and they will be easier to upload and to read. [1] You just need to enter the max pages of each part and the rest will be automatic.

I strongly recommand to upload the entire republican era NLC catalogue. They may one day disable access and we can't download again, just like CADAL. Upload for Freedom (talk) 12:38, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing! I have no clue what might have caused this behaviour. There are a lot of incomplete bot uploads, now and then I'm querying the database which is shown here. All the best, Achim55 (talk) 13:21, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

Empty Category

Hey, I just wanted to alert you that Category:鶴峰書院 is empty, and I couldn't find whatever book or content was supposed to go there (after a brief glance). Did you forget to upload something or forget to categorize something that's uploaded? I found [3] on the National Library of China website, but I don't know how to download it. @Geographyinitiative: Thanks for your kindly alert! It was created by bot in batch when uploading books from the National Library of China. The book should have been downloaded from that link and uploaded to Commons, while that download link is actually broken (the same case as Category:九龍書院). It is bad to see the library does not take these rare books seriously. But I cannot find an alternative source.--虹易 (talk) 14:14, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Unlike the previous category, the building (also the book name) looks like still existing today, according to the 6th photo of [4]. So I would like to leave the category there in case we might have a copyright-free photo some day there.--虹易 (talk) 14:31, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

It is created by mistake, different from the two above. That is a non-PD book published in 2001, which is local records (zh: 地方志, similar to but not exactly chorography). They are usually government-funded, compiled every decades of years. Its copyright will expire in 2001 + 50 = 2051. I was considering uploading such kinds of books and requesting immediate deletion, for possible restoration in the future, while I am not sure whether it is a good idea or not.--虹易 (talk) 13:25, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
