Thanks, I'm trying to identify many of the guests. Today I bought, however, a couple of magazines in which many of the guests are, so I think I will identify most of them. Otherwise, I will return to you. Usually I upload the unidentified persons to Flickr [2], where I usually get help from wiki friends. Dear Lesula - I see where you are adding wonderful new photos of Swedish celebrities to many of their articles. Several of those arrticles, however, already had at least one good portrait, whereas the articles for Marianne Bernadotte and Gunnila Bernadotte have had none for a very long time. Leo Razzak/Tareq Taylor och Lotta/Lina Lundgren

Leo Razzak eller Tareq Taylor?

Hej Lesula! Jag har frågor om två av dina bilder. Först är det Taylor.jpg denna bild med bildnamnet Leo Razzak.jpg men som ligger inlagd på Tareq Taylors artikel. Vem föreställer bilder? Sen är det denna bild som jag uppmärksammat dig på innan. Bilden föreställer Lotta Lundgrens syster Lina Lundgren och inte den kända programledaren, trots att de är väldigt lika. Så bilden behöver byta namn eller kanske till och med kan tas bort eftersom Lina Lundgren inte är en offentlig person. Vad säger du? /Ariam (talk) 10:56, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

- Hallå där Ariam! Helt rätt - båda är felmärkta. Det blev fel vid uppladdningen. Den första bör byta fil-namnet till "Tareq Taylor". Man kan tydligen inte göra det själv, annars hade jag redan fixat det. (Någon med högre behörighet måste fixa det.) Bilden på Lina Lundgren kan med gott samvete tas bort helt och hållet. Tack för snabbt svar! Då var det som jag trodde. :) Jag har nu begärt namnbyte för Razzak-bilden så kommer någon administratör fixa det inom kort. Vad gäller Lundgren-bilden tror jag det är enklare att du själv begär att få den raderad. Jag har aldrig gjort det själv men jag tror att det enklaste är att sätta in taggen {{speedydelete|Reason}} (men utan "tlp" om du tittar i redigeringsläget) högst upp på bildens sida och anger anledning där det nu bara står "reason". Overcategorization

Hello. I appreciate all the hard work you are doing with all the pictures you have uploaded. I have noticed, though, that you have a tendency to overcategorize your pictures. The following is what Wikimedia says about overcategorization:

"Over-categorization is when a file, category or other page is placed in several levels of the same branch in the category tree. The general rule is always place an image in the most specific categories, and not in the levels above those.

Example: An image needing to be categorized shows a yellow circle. This image should be placed in Category:Yellow circles. If it is also placed in Category:Circles, it is over-categorized. We already know that it's a circle, because all yellow circles are circles. Therefore, Category:Circles is redundant.

This applies to most files: As mentioned under the adjacent illustration, files in Category:Black and white photographs of the Eiffel Tower should not also be in Category:Paris, files in Category:Albert Einstein should not be in Category:Physicists from Germany and so on."

So, for instance, you would not want to put an image of Helena af Sandeberg in both the categories of Helena af Sandeberg and Actresses from Sweden since the category Helena af Sandeberg is already in Actresses from Sweden.

I just wanted to make sure you were aware of this so that we would not be creating more work for each other.

If Helena af Sandeberg has 'her own catgory in her name an image of her should only be categorized under that category not under any occupation or other sorting. Make sure then that her category page (not individual images of her) is categorized under other relevant subjects. I hope that's clear. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 16:30, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Hej! Om jag förstår det rätt så ska man enbart ladda upp en (person-)-bild under personens namn under förutsättning att detta redan är registrerat/kategoriserat. Om det är ett nytt namn så är det ok att även kategorisera under bl.a. olika yrkeskategorier personen har kopplingar till. Det här underlättar betydligt vid uppladdningar eftersom det tar extra mycket tid att för varje bild hitta så många lämpliga kategorier som möjligt. Ibland kan det bli ett 10-tal. Allt för att underlätta sökningar för de som vill leta bilder i Commons. Stort tack för det förtydligandet! :) Lesula (talk) 19:09, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Det har ingen direkt anknytning till uppladdningen, och bara du har satt dit en enda kategori då så slipper du det där meddelandet om okategoriserad bild.

Vad detta handlar om är att inte dubbelkategorisera och överkategorisera i onödan. Dvs om det finns en kategori som heter Ewa Fröling, och det är ett porträtt på henne, behöver man bara kategorisera henne med en enda kategori, hennes egen. Den kategorin ska i sin tur vara kategoriserad under exempelvis Actresses from Sweden med mera. Om man på porträttbilden lägger på kategorier som Actresses from Sweden, Women of Sweden, Actresses from Europe o s v så blir den kategoriseringen en onödig och förvillande dubblering. Toppen. Du har tagit många bra bilder. Men nu sitter jag till exempel och tittar på kategorin "TV personalities from Sweden". Där finns överst en stor lista på mappar namngivna efter TV-personligheter. Dessutom finns det ett 70-tal lösa bilder längre ner på sidan. Många verkar vara foton tagna av dig. Det är oftast foton som också ligger i mapparna ovan. Det är vad som menas med överkategorisering och gör det förvillande för den som letar efter lämpliga bilder. Hallå! Ja, håller med fullständigt. Ett helt onödigt arbete (och timmar) nerlagt där. Dessvärre lär det finnas fler kategorier jag efterlämnat med skolexempel på överkategoriseringar. Och jag hade fortsatt vara övernitisk om inte en vänlig användare givit en grundlektion i kategorisering (se ovan). Dessvärre hinner jag inte "rensa upp" bland 1000-tals bilder i Commons nu. Istället väntar mängder med bilder i fotobanken på uppladdning. Men var säker på en sak - varje bild kommer bli ett skolexempel på hur man SKA kategorisera bilder!  :) /FrankieF (talk) 04:02, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
