Dear Ellin I was only trying to help Wikipedia students find me on Wikipedia as Robert Elwes Author instead of my ancestors Robert Elwes. Best Wishes and frankly I give up trying to help wikipedia but photographs I give permission to use still if that helps students. I can only suggest and offer to help requests and I will ask others to enter up my details instead as wikipedia has a big problem with persons helping their own page entry for libraries and bookshops!. Best Wishes and here was the page of facts about my philology work in the Alps if you all decide to help enter it as a reference me (not my two dead Robert Elwes ancestors with same name on wikipedia). Personally I do wonder if Wikipedia has perhaps a problem with philologist entries trying to help libraries it was prepared nicely by my students BUT of course fatally your Wikipedia team took exception to my entering it as a Talk page DRAFT:
ROBERT ELWES AUTHOR & PHILOLOGIST (KNOWN AS "THE ALPINE FAIRYTALE HUNTER")
EARLY LIFE IN ENGLAND: Robert Geoffrey Elwes was born in Scunthorpe in England in 1960. He is the son of Captain JGGP Elwes (deceased 1999 Vice Lord Lieutenant for Humberside) and Mrs CM Elwes. He grew up at Elsham Hall Country Park near Brigg in Lincolnshire. He built a Barn Theatre producing many plays and concerts and a Wildlife Park winning several awards (Eg. Yorkshire Tourism and Arts Awards). He also helped to build The Friendly Farmer motorway services at Newark on the A1 (noted for its local farm produce) and helped with the development of a local Lincolnshire Real Ale (noted for brewing Lincoln Gold Real Ale). He became an acknowledged musical travel award nominated writer in 2003. He collects folksongs, tales and fairytales in the Austrian Alps as an alpine phliologist. He is married to Marina Elwes with three children; Emily, Max and Leopold. He is nicknamed "The Fairytale Hunter".
WRITING MUSICAL DIARIES IN THE VORARLBERG LANDESBIBLIOTHEK:
Vorarlberger Landesbibliothek PICTURE INSERT PICTURE FROM WIKIPEDIA
He started writing books in Vorarlberg Austria where he is recognised for his most noted Musical Diaries written in 2003 entitled "Die Schokiberg Chronik oder Das Bellen am Bodensee". It was published by Mackintosh Ltd. The Book is posted free all over the World.
Robert Elwes travels on his gondola around the Bodensee with his dog collecting Folk Stories and Fairytales
The Musical Diary is unique in Austrian literature as a record of experiences of the theatre playwright at the turn of the millennium (2000) whilst writing a musical on the notorious marriage swindle of Angelica Kauffmann in Vorarlberg. The Diary was first published in English under the title " The Chocolate Mountain Chronicles" but the edited German edition has become more recognised as a record of a changing Alpine social strata at the turn of the millennium and it contains a CD of outtakes from the musical he was writing with Vorarlberg composers Teddy Maier and Rolf Aborer. Robert Geoffrey Elwes lives between the tiny village of Gaissau in Vorarlberg on the lake of Constance (Bodensee) and his family estates and farms in North Lincolnshire, England.

"Musical Travel Diarists remain rare in this digital age and I try to capture library visitors by placing my musical travel stories on the internet platforms such as Google Maps Reviews or Facebook Reviews to try to catch telephone scrollers to try reading books again" said Robert Elwes in 2022. "The Diary has grown from a book first posted to readers gratis by mail at the turn of this Century but now it has grown into an internet medium across the wider world encouraging many telephone commuters on buses, train and planes to read books again". The Musical Diary was recently revised by Walt Disney and read by King Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Royal Anne and Presidents (notably the Taoiseach of Eire (Ireland) who gave Robert Elwes the honour of Dual Irish Citizenship in 2020). "The Travel Diary grew into a form of Internet Geocashing or Google Review Fishing where I would cast a story into the vast river of various Internet Platforms like a fly catching salmon". The postal book was one of the first Amazon posted books in Austria and was credited with helping bookshops to stock English language books in the early years of the 21st Century.
Gaissau Bodensee
"I would normally climb aboard a paddleboat to cross the Bodensee Lake to Constance where there was an English Bookshop still in the 1990's so I decided to post my books to readers and bookshops gratis to help German language bookshops to offer English language books. This was no easy task as many bookshops in the 1980's thought the English books were only sold to tourists in airports or railways stations". Robert Elwes. (2022. Lecture on Music Philology). "I hope by pioneering books as perhaps a souvenir of twenty years of collecting tales and folk songs like my great Grandfather Gervase Elwes, the tragic tenor; I can encourage more philologists like the Brothers Grimm to discover more oral folk songs to use in famous orchestrations like Elgar's Land of Hope and Glory sung at the Proms".
HISTORICAL LINKS TO GERVASE ELWES TENOR AND THE BREXITLAND ANTHEM:
INSERT PICTURE OF GERVASE ELWES TENOR (FROM WIKIPEDIA)
Robert Elwes follows in the famous footsteps of Gervase Elwes who collected folk songs. He used to travel around England with Percy Grainger and Edward Elgar collecting folk songs. He was famous for singing Land of Hope and Glory and Brigg Fair amongst many other records. Robert Elwes is his Great Grandson. He is widely acknowledged for this alpine philologist work and the Brexitland Anthem sung at Football Matches and by Commonwealth Choirs in 2020 to celebrate the work of pandemic nurses, ambulance drivers and Refugee Camp volunteers across Europe. A recent book called "52 Love Letters from the Lake" is widely read of his love letters to his wife Marina locked down in his famous black Death Manor (above). She is a noted Egyptologist (Heidelberg University) and an illustrator for the British Museum. The infamous schizophrenic Love Letters were all written on playing cards as in the early days of the 2020-2021 pandemic he was effectively playing poker with Death as a volunteer knight nurse in the Alps with then no vaccinations. The Book is often compared to "South Wind" by Norman Douglas also a Vorarlberg satirical author or to perhaps Hemingway's early ambulance driving novel "Farewell to Arms". The Brexitland Anthem was written to remember all the nurses and volunteers to be sung at the sadly 2022 cancelled London Proms. It has been adopted by many choirs who enjoy singing the song in memory of nurses and doctors who gave everything to save lives in 2020.

SO SORRY TRIED TO HELP STUDENTS WITH THE FACTS FOR THE NEW PAGE BUT THERE YOU GO YOUR COMMITTEE SEEMS INTENT ON SNOBBERY CRITERIA as apparently I am advertising even though I do not in fact sell anything as you can see my "famous" books are long since out of print.

Please read COM:L Commons is unable to host images with unclear copyright. All the rest of your words there are irrelevant since the photos are in copyright, neither you nor your students have rights to them, and we cannot provide them free hosting within the project as they are not eligible for inclusion. All the rest of what you wrote is irrelevant to the project. Sorry! Do please read COM:L for licensing and COM:SCOPE for the range of the project - you may find them enlightening. I am also a published author, but you don't find me doing stuff like this ! I also changed the categories on your last two uploads. "Fairy Tale Town" is an actual place in California, your photos were from Europe, so I put them in the appropriate location categories. Since I could find nothing online identifying you as a "fairy tale hunter" that description has been removed. Cheers! Ellin Beltz (talk) 20:36, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Justlettersandnumbers Thanks and once again I was just offering pictures to help the article of students but i gather by offering it up I am somehow breaching the wikipedia etiquette and the old pictures of Robert Elwes (both long since RIP) will remain for researchers until probably I die too as the only Robert Elwes's on wikipedia. Best Wishes and what a strange idea that students must find me on Facebook or other platforms just because I offered a picture!. Weird but it is your website and you can delete whatever you wish. Merry ChristmasI think Wikipedia probably might modernise its views a bit more to help students. 2A02:8389:41C8:C880:FD90:EFEE:93A1:C92A 15:52, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
