Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hallo Liuthalas, ich habe das Bild zu Category:Unidentified Cerastium gesteckt und die Beschreibung entsprechend geändert. Das kann keine Stellaria holostea sein, da die Blüten fünf Griffel haben (Stellaria holostea hat drei) und die Blütenstiele zu haarig aussehen. Zudem ist die Pflanze ja schon unter de:Wikipedia:Redaktion_Biologie/Bestimmung/Archiv019#Flora_der_Gleinalpe.2C_Teil_1 in die korrekte Gattung eingeordnet worden. Hallo Liuthalas!

Vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu WikiDaheim! Von Ende Juli bis Anfang Oktober wurden so insgesamt mehr als 7.000 Bilder hochgeladen und viele Ort in Österreich in der Wikipedia und anderen Projekten mit neuen Bildern versehen, was nur dank der vielen Beiträge wie Deinem möglich war.

Die 561 besten Bilder wurden in den letzten Wochen von einer Vorjury ausgesucht, die Du dir hier anschauen kannst - vielleicht sind auch Bilder von Dir dabei! :-) Eine Jury wird nun bis Mitte November die zehn besten Bilder aussuchen, die Preisträger werden danach von uns verständigt.

Nochmals vielen Dank für Deine Beiträge. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch in Zukunft die Wikimedia-Projekte bebilderst! Im 2. Halbjahr 2018 wird WikiDaheim wahrscheinlich wieder stattfinden - wir würden uns freuen, wenn du dann wieder dabei wärst :-) Solltest Du Fragen haben, so kannst Du Dich gerne an wikidaheimwikimedia.at wenden.

zu der Massenanlage von 1-Foto-Kategorien: [1]. Ist doch immer schön und benutzerfreundlich, wenn man eine Kategorie aufruft und man sieht fast keine Fotos. -- Bwag (talk) 17:39, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Zugegeben machen Kategorien mit einem einzigen Foto nicht viel her, aber die Lösung davor war auch nicht gerade sehr benutzerfreundlich wenn man über 60 Bilder die alle etwas anderes Zeigen in der selben Kategorie hat. So gibt es jetzt zumindest einen Link von der Denkmalliste auf die jeweilige Kategorie wenn man Bilder vom jeweiligen Denkmal hochlädt. --Liuthalas (talk) 08:58, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Hallo Karl, ich muss gleich vorweg sagen das ich mich mit dem Feuerwehrwesen überhaupt nicht auskenne. Aber wie es aussieht gibt es wirklich keine Feuerwehr Schirning-Meierhof, sondern das ist ein Rüsthaus welches zur Eisbach-Rein gehört. Das Rüsthaus feierte übrigens letzten Sonntag seinen 30er ;). Hallo Wie du ja selbst sagst, ich habe mich bei User:Nxr-at schlau gemacht: Das ganze ist keine eigene Feuerwehr sondern ein abgesetzter Zug der Catgeory:Freiwillige Feuerwehr Eisbach-Rein, deshalb soll das Foto auch dort eingereiht werden. lg K@rl (talk) 18:18, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

danke, jetzt glaube ich sollte es hinhauen. Es ist nicht ganz einfach, denn ich sehe die Freiwillige Feuerwehr mit ihrem Baum als Organisation, die Fire station in als Building in also als Bauwerk - wo sie dann eben eingeordnet werden und nur den Begriff Freiwillige Feuerwehr xy als Eigenname, sonst alles in englisch. --K@rl (talk) 13:17, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

Kesselfallklamm / Kesselfall

Hallo Liuthalas, habe den Wasserfall und die Klamm getrennt. Category:Kesselfall (Semriach) & Category:Kesselfallklamm (Semriach). Könntest du bitte durchsehen, ob in der Klammkategorie noch Bilder sind, die den eigentlichen Wasserfall zeigen? Für mich ist das nicht ganz klar ersichtlich. Hallo Herzi Pinki, es sollten bereits alle Fotos vom Wasserfall in der richtigen Kategorie sein. Aber ich finde die Aufteilung in Klamm und Wasserfall schon etwas künstlich, da sich in der Klamm mehrere Wasserfälle befinden bzw. es sich um eine Art Kaskade handelt. Friedhof Übelbach

Hallo Liuthalas, aus meiner Sicht gehört der Friedhof zur Kirche und nicht die Kirche zum Friedhof. Ohne Kirche kein Friedhof um die Kirche. Das primäre Objekt ist die Kirche. Jedenfalls geht nicht beides, da das einen Zirkel in den Unterkategorien erzeugt. Ich habe daher deine Zuordnung der Kirche zum Friedhof [2] wieder entfernt.
