Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Ist schon doof wenn das nicht von alleine klappt. Hatte ich auch mal bei einer Kamera. Habe dann alle Bilder erst mit Irfanview gedreht. Ich verstehe es nicht, denn es hat mit der Kamera immer geklappt. Und in den Exif Daten schuat es für mich auch korrekt aus. Nachdem es trotzdem falsch ist, speichere ich es mit Irfanview nochmals als gedreht. Und trotzdem ist es falsch. Hallo Karl, ich habe Dir dort (COM:HD#False_direction) geantwortet.

Nun aber noch zum generellen Problem, dass Deine Bilder gedreht erscheinen: COM:ROTATEFIX oder kurz gesagt, wenn Du eine neue(eres) Kameramodell benutzt, brauchst Du die Fotos nicht mehr durch Bildbearbeitungsprogramme - und schon gar nicht mit den Viewern von Microsoft zu drehen, sondern kannst sie direkt hochladen, weil die Kamera schon die richtige Ausrichtung mit in die Datei speichert, MediaWiki das erkennt und automatisch dreht. Nur Microsoft und einige andere Programme sind zu "dumm" das zu erkennen. Folglich dreht der Nutzer das Bild mit dem Programm, das Programm führ meist eine verlustbehaftete Drehung durch und verändert die Meta-Datein (die die Orientierung enthalten) nicht. Nach dem Hochladen ist dann alles doppelt gedreht. -- Rillke^(q?) 13:10, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

WLM Slovakia - Skalica

Hi Karl, thank you for reminding me of the possibility of tagging my photos with a WLM 2012 template. There is however a slight trouble with your tagging my Jewish cemetery photos from Skalica, Slovakia, namely the File:New Jewish cemetery in Skalica 02.JPG. I understand quite well that you were mislead by the Slovak List of cultural monuments in Skalica and its German mirror Liste der denkmalgeschützten Objekte in Skalica but I am afraid there is a bit of confusion in it. The New Jewish cemetery in Skalica, to which category you've also given a WLM tag, could, from the logical point of view, NOT be the protected cultural monument as you can see from the files New Jewish cemetery in Skalica 14-23.JPG. The lower part of the cemetery had been heavily damaged and destroyed during the recent "cleaning" and widening works for the evangelic and catholic cemeteries there. The right cultural monument cemetery must be the one I have named Old Jewish cemetery in Skalica which is older (17.-18. century) and responds better to the caption in the Slovak Agency for the preservation of historical monuments web page regarding the Monument no 731/1 in www.pamiatky.sk. Its address there is: V hradobnej priekope, what reads in English "in the fortification wall moat" (Schanzmauer Graben). And there had historically been a moat under the fortification wall close to which this cemetery is situated - just see the photos. I do not know why is the cemetery called "new" as far as I have not find any clue that there had been a third Jewish cemetery in Skalica on the Internet. I ask you therefore to tranfer your tags to the latter category and to the, say, File:Old Jewish cemetery in Skalica 02.JPG. Hallo Karl, die 3 Bilder bezülgich BDA-Veranstalung auf Schloss Stetteldorf betrachte ich nicht als Denkmaldokumentation, sondern als Veranstalstungsdokumentation. Dementsprechend ist auch der Bildtext ausgefallen und nehme damit weder beim WLM-Wettbewerb teil, noch beim TdD. Ich hoffe, du kannst mir folgen und akzeptierst meine Kategoriesierung. Zweitens war ich außer der Vermittlung von Jurymitgliedern in die Organisation der Bewertung nicht eingebunden und könnte es dir nur aus zweiter Hand sagen. Hallo Karl! Na da bin ich ja beruhigt. ;-) Ich tu mir nur recht schwer, sowas in Englisch so zu vermitteln, daß auch das ankommt, was ich sagen wollte, daher hab ich es Dir geschrieben. In der Hoffnung, daß Du Dir leichter tust. ;-) Es ist ja auch im Sport nicht so, daß wenn es zwei dritte Plätze gibt, nur der erste und zweite Sieger am Stockerl stehen, sondern dann eben vier. Das hat sicher auch etwas an sich. Ich weiß allerdings nicht ob es im weltweiten Kontext möglcih ist mehr als 10 Bilder einzureichen. Wenn keine Reihung eingereicht wird sondern eben nur die 10 besten ist das mit 3 10. schwierig. Jetams Prolem war, dass er von einem Jurymitglied keine zweite Wertung mehr bekam und er aber bis 22 Uhr abgeben sollte. --K@rl (talk) 19:12, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Da in Norwegen eines weggefallen ist und die so auch nur neun haben, wäre es international insgesamt bloß um ein einziges Bild mehr, dafür ärgern sich vielleicht drei Fotografen nicht sondern freuen sich über faire Behandlung. Das wird nicht viel bringen, denn der 30. Oktober mit dem Ende ist vorbei. Sinnvoller wäre gewesen, wenn der vierte Juryteilnehmer seine Wahl abgegeben hätte, dann wäre es zu der Situation vielleicht nicht gekommen. Bei SK ist es sicher heuer ein Erfolg, dass sie überhaupt noch teilnehmen konnten. Es ist ja auch nicht gerecht, wenn einmal 10 aus 20.000 und ein anderes Mal 1 aus 700 sind. Also auch eine Lösung mit 2 % der jeweiligen Bilder wäre gerecht :-) - also jedem macht man es sicher nicht recht. --K@rl (talk) 21:35, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, what's your source for this edit? Because my is from official listing: http://www.pamiatky.sk/po/po/Details?id=3728 I think, sk.wiki lists "Zoznam kultúrnych pamiatok v ..." have a bug. If objects have same ID before /, then ID is correct (xxx/1 and xxx/2 ...), else the object has ID with xxx/0. In official list the ID start with /1 not with /0. Where is import script and source list for articles on sk.wiki? —Kandy Talbot 12:39, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi Kandy Talbot, the source for our numbering system are the sk:Zoznam kultúrnych pamiatok na Slovensku and the corresponding german lists. At this moments it exists really a small problem, becausse PUSR works with two parallel systems inside and web-outside. In the middle of the year all will work with the same system and the /0 will disappearing. So we want to change, if all is clear subject the PUSR-ID per Bot. But till this moment we must use the internal numbering, otherwise the additional software like Commons:Monuments database/Statistics does not work correctly. regards K@rl (talk) 12:56, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

OK, backward compatibility accepted. :) Have you a bot for synchronizing lists on de.wiki with sk.wiki? Because I opened my old photos and gpx files (I'm a OSM.org contributor too) and I slowly uploading images and coords. Not at this moments, because we have lists from PUSR only as provsiorium not the finally. These we will get after there change to the new internal system. In the meantime we will have some talks and discussions too:-) But I think it will be possible with the bots from Multichill or Krd, because the system is similar the proofed system from Austria. So Krd has some experiance. But if you want I can send you via Email the provisic lists from 15.12.2012. In such case, send me a mail via Wikimail and I send you the excel sheets. Schnelllöschantrag auf die Category:Passenger ships of Austria

Hallo Karl, die o.a. Kategorie ist für Schiffe gedacht die unter der österreichischen Flagge betrieben werden. Flusskreuzfahrtschiffe und Güterschiffe verkehren grenzüberschreitend, sodass eine kategorisierung einer kompletten Schiffskategorie in die von dir verwendete Category:Passenger ships in Austria definitiv falsch ist. Die beiden Kategorien sind in unterschiedlichen Kategorienbäumen angesiedelt. Beispielsweise wurde das Bild Theodor Körner (ship, 1965) 001.jpg in Ungarn aufgenommen - das Bild Theodor Körner in Passau.JPG hingegegen in Deutschland. Viele Grüße --Rolf H. Wartungskategorie bei Mottenbildern

Hallo Karl, die passende Unterkategorie von Category:Media needing categories wird normalerweise durch den vom Bot gesetzten Baustein {{Uncategorized}} gesetzt, der beim Setzen von Kategorien automatisch verschwindet. Bei den Kleinschmetterlingsbildern von gestern habe ich mich darauf verlassen und musste die Kategorie nachträglich entfernen (1 überflüssiger Edit pro Bild). -- Olaf Studt (talk) 08:02, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Hinweis zur Umbenennung von Kategorien

Hallo Karl, schreibe dir hier, obwohl oben steht, ich solle dir auf de-WP schreiben, aber dort bist du ja inaktiv. Wenn du Kategorien hier auf Commons umbenennst, dann bietet sich die Vorlage {{Category redirect}} an. Da hängen dann einige Automatismen dran, die dafür sorgen, dass die alte Kategorie entweder nicht mehr gefüllt wird (z.B. durch HotCat) oder regelmäßig geleert wird. (Stolperstein für den Hinweis). Hinweise zur Umbenenung von Kategorien findest du unter Commons:Rename a category (auch deutsch).

Weil ich das unlängst woanders geschrieben habe, meine Vorgehensweise:

• Ersetze auf allen Bildern und Unterkategorien Kat-Alt durch Kat-Neu. (geht mit Cat-a-Lot sehr einfach; auch für Unterkategorien, dafür allerdings ist eine Konfigurationsänderung in Cat-a-lot erforderlich)
• Damit wird Kat-Alt leer (bis auf den Text)
• Kopiere den kompletten Inhalt von Kat-Alt (Beschreibung + alle Kategorien) nach Kat-Neu
• In Kat-Alt vermerke statt des alten Inhalts entweder {{category redirect|Kat-Neu}} oder {{bad name|Kat-Neu}}. Im Falle von bad name, das ist wohl hier der Fall, wird die Kategorie von einem Admin zeitnah gelöscht (meine Erfahrung).
• Wenn dir Verlinkungen auf Kat-Alt in den Wikipedias bewusst sind, dann ändere diese in allen Sprachversionen auf Kat-Neu. Systematische Backlinks dazu kenne ich allerdings nicht.

Auf wien-wiki wird die Eigenschaft Museum angezweifelt, der Artikel dort hat aktuell einen LA, Kleinstes Museum Wiens klingt nicht nach Eigenname, sondern nach Eigenschaft. Josef Valentin Kassin - Friedhof Hinterbrühl

Herzlichen Dank für die Fotos der Grab-Skulpturen auf dem Hinterbrühler Friedhof, die von Josef Valentin Kassin stammen. Der in Klagenfurt geborene Bildhauer war ein viel beschäftigter bildender Künstler und ist weit herum gekommen. Außerdem war ich froh, Deine Bekanntschaft während Deines Kärnten-Besuchs gemacht zu haben, auch wenn es nur von kurzer Dauer war. Ich verleihe jedoch der Hoffnung Ausdruck, dass es Gelegenheiten zu weiteren Begegnungen geben möge, wo wir mehr Zeit für einen Gedankenaustausch im Zuge eines Plauscherls haben könnten.

Category:Rosarium Baden

Hallo Karl Gruber,
ich habe gerade gesehen, dass außer mir noch jemand Bilder für Wikipedia im Rosarium Baden gemacht hat - nur leider hast du die Sortennamen nicht dazugeschrieben... hast du die auch notiert? (Ich photographiere immer zuerst den Sortennamen und dann die Rose, so dass ich daheim leicht nachvollziehen kann um welche Rose es sich handelt). Wikicommons könnte mehr gute Bilder von identifizierten Rosen brauchen und das Rosarium Baden bietet ja reichlich Motive (auch von recht seltenen Sorten).

Danke für Deinen Beitrag zum Weihnachts-Fotowettbewerb zum Thema Weinachtszeit, Winterzeit, Wendezeit''!

Mit Deiner Hilfe wurden commons um über 1500 Bilder zu Winter- & Weihnachtsthemen bereichert - mit einer großen Motivvielfalt, die von Weihnachtsmärkten und -dekorationen über Weihnachtsmänner, verschneite Landschaften und Schlössern zu typischen Speisen und Getränken reicht.

Wie Du vielleicht unserem Bericht im Kurier schon entnommen hast, haben wir die Community nun zu Abstimmungen in der Endrunde aufgerufen. Zur Wahl stehen die 14 eingereichten Artikel und 100 Bilder, die bis zum 20. Januar durch die Vorrunde und die Einbindung in Artikel ausgewählt wurden. Für die Gewinner, die bis zum 31. Jänner/Januar mit Eurer Hilfe ermittelt werden, stehen durch Unterstützung seitens von WMDE und WMAT insgesamt 12 Bild- und 4 Artikelpreise zur Verfügung. Da in jeder Kategorie – Bild oder Artikel – nur maximal ein Preis pro Teilnehmer möglich ist, sind die Preischancen groß.

Wir freuen uns, wenn Du Zeit findest, dich an der Wahl zu beteiligen. Du hast beliebig viele gereihte Stimmen, wobei erste Stimmen mehr zählen als nachfolgende (zur Reihung setzt Du einfach eine Zahl vor deine Unterschrift).

Um eine genüssliche Betrachtung der Bilder zu ermöglichen, sind die Finalisten nicht nur auf der Abstimmungsseite, sondern auch in einer Galerie zu finden.

Du darfst je einmal drei, zwei und einen Stern verteilen - dann nur mehr (beliebig viele) Herzchen, die deine Anerkennung zeigen, in der Wertung aber nicht mitgerechnet warden. Hallo Karl, kümmern heißt nicht machen. Aber wenn du enzyklopädisch wertvolle Bilder von extern hier hochladest, dann wäre es schön, wenn du sie auch einer Verwendbarkeit zuführen könntest (Beschreibung und Kategorisierung). Wir machen doch hier Qualitätsarbeit, nicht Quantitätsarbeit? Wollen wir wirklich die Zehntausenden GI-Fotos, die tausenden Faymann-Fotos, die hunderten Blick-über-die-Dächer-Wiens-Fotos? Wenn du zumindest passende unidentified Kategorien vergeben könntest, dann kümmern sich ev. Spezialisten darum: z.B. Category:Unidentified fish. Zuerst zum zweiten: Nach dem die Category sowieso Buildings ... heißt wird ja sowieso nach dem Wort sortiert. Das zweite gebe ich zu, sollte eher in eine Kategorie Buildings in Ziersdorf, die es aber noch nicht gibt. dann wäre beides erschlagen. --K@rl (talk) 02:11, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Die Kategorieergänzung wurde von einem *Leerzeichen* angeführt, damit die Bauwerke nicht zwischen den Ortsteilen eingeordnet werden. Und die Kategorie Buildings_in_Bezirk_Hollabrunn ist zwingend erforderlich, solange keine Kategorie Buildings_in_Ziersdorf besteht. Danke, ich habe das noch verfeinert, da ich meine es ist besser nach Objekten zu kategorisieren als nach Eigenschaften. Für Cultural heritage monuments … ist die vorgesehene unterste Ebene die Gemeinde (Wien und Linz ausgenommen).

Es gibt eine Grauzone bei der ID in einer Kategorie. Bei einem Bild ist es klar, es zeigt das DS-Objekt oder halt nicht. Bei der Kategorie heißt die ID, dass diese Kategorie Bilder zu dieser ID enthält (sinnvollerweise in nennenswerter und überwiegender Anzahl), aber dass nicht alle Bilder dieser Kategorie zugeordnet sein müssen. Eine Kategorie kann auch mehrere DS-Objekte enthalten (z.B. Kirche + Friedhof + Kriegergedächtniskapelle). lg --Herzi Pinki (talk) 19:06, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

Und das Datum sollte im Format yyyy-mm(-dd) geschrieben werden, damit wird es je nach eingestellter uselang entsprechend dargestellt. Culture

Hallo Karl, du hast Category:Versöhnungsbaum (Hinterbrühl) unter Category:Culture of Hinterbrühl einsortiert. Für einen Baum überraschend. Wo ziehst du die Grenze zwischen Natur und Kultur? Eventuell (natürlich?) wurde der Baum von Menschen gepflanzt? Und das Einsortieren als Naturdenkmal ist eine Kulturleistung. Aber dann gehört fast alles unter Kultur und was bliebe parallel dazu übrig? Feuerwehr, Bauten, Technik, technische Zeichnungen, alles Kultur. Unter Natur, d.h. parallel zur Kultur, blieben dann die Blümchen weit weg vom Wegesrand in unberührten, nie genutzten Gebieten, die es so in AT ja nicht mehr gibt und ev. die große Geologie (so sie sich nicht in Karten äußert) mit ihren Bergen und Gebirgen, nicht aber die Schutzhütten als eindeutige Kulturleistung. Die Frage ist, ob diese Definition von Kultur hilfreich für die Strukturierung ist. Ich glaube nicht. lg --Herzi Pinki (talk) 10:25, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

@Herzi Pinki: Im Prinzip wollte ich die Denkmäler und die Naturdenkmäler zur Kultur einreihen wie ich es in anderen Ländern gesehen habe (im Moment habe ich kein Beispiel parat). Wenn ich ein ID für die beiden beiden Bäume also Versöhnungsbaum und die aktuell noch geschützte Föhre gehabt hätte, hätte ich die Kategorie anders benannt. Da die Versöhnungsföhre auch ein Wegkreuz an der Via Sacra trägt passt sie auch so in die Kultur. Ich sehe also schon Natur, Baudenkmäler und Religion zur Kultur. Ich wollte das aber noch nihct allgemein durchziehen, sondern hier erst einmal erfahrungen sammeln. --gruß K@rl (talk) 18:21, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Was bleibt von der Hinterbrühl übrig, wenn wir alles was mit Kultur zu tun hat nach Category:Culture of Hinterbrühl verschieben? (Im Gegensatz zu doppelt kategorisieren) Mit mindestens der gleichen Berechtigung würde ich den Baum unter Category:Nature of Hinterbrühl sehen. Ich rede jetzt nicht davon, dass irgendwo auf Bundesland oder Österreich-Ebene das auch unter Kultur steht, aber in der Gemeinde? Wenn man de:Kultur ernst nimmt, dann bleiben in der Kategorie Hinterbrühl gerade noch die untergeordneten Ortschaften Sparbach (Gemeinde Hinterbrühl)‎, Weissenbach bei Mödling‎, und die beiden Kategorien Biotop Hinterbrühl (fraglich, falls angelegtes Biotop)‎ und die Gießwände‎. Der Rest von den Unterkategorien und die meisten Bilder gehört dann unter Category:Culture of Hinterbrühl. ME sollte Kultur auf Gemeindeebene auf die Hochkultur (gemalte Bilder, Fotos von Theateraufführungen), die Volkskultur (Feuerwehrfeste, Taufen, Hochzeiten), die Unkultur, die Religion von mir aus (nicht als Kirchengebäude, sondern als Fronleichnamsprozession), etc beschränkt werden, weil sonst bleibt nur noch Natur übrig, alles andere findet sich dann unter Category:Culture of Hinterbrühl. Bis jemand kommt und Category:Nature of Hinterbrühl anlegt, dann stehen genau diese beiden Kategorien + die administrativen Untereinheiten in der Gemeindekategorie.

BTW: Weißt du, wie die beiden Bilder von Waldmüller mit der Hinterbrühl in Verbindung stehen? Sind die Personen von dort, sind die Bilder dort gemalt worden oder hat der Waldmüller als Person einen Bezug zur Hinterbrühl? In letzteren Fall reicht doch die Zuordnung zur Hinterbrühl beim Maler selbst.

Zuerst zum zweiten: Ich habe zwar nichts direktes gefunden, könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass er zumindest das eine Bild in der Hinterbrühl gemalt hat. Die angegebene Lit. kenn ich zwar nicht, aber vielleicht finde ich etwas, nachdem bei uns dieses Wochenende der 150. Todestag gefeiert wird. Waldmüller hat zahlreiche Bilder mit Motiven aus der Gegend gemalt und auch h9ier lange Zeit verweilt und ist schließlich auch hier gestorben. In die Kulturkat, könnte man ihn sicher als ganzes auch geben - womit wir bei deinem ersten Punkt wären ;-)

Meines Dafürhaltens gehört schon der Umgang mit der Natur zur Kultur eines Landes und eben auch der Gemeinde - schließlich ist auch das Abholzen des Regenwaldes auch ein Teil der (Un)kultur Brasiliens. Die Unterteilung ist sicher schwierig. Wie weit man die Kultur einerseits in die einzelnen Ebenen, eben Ort oder Gemeinde oder höher ansetzt ist natürlich Geschmacksache. Ich sehe es korrekterweise schon im Ort am Land, wie im Grätzl in der Stadt, auch wenn es manchmal übertrieben wirkt. Die Gemeinde ist für mich nichts anderes als eine später eingezogene reine Verwaltungsebene, die natürlich auch hier manches erleichtert. --lg K@rl (talk) 12:00, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Dazu kommt, die Bevorzugung der Großkopferten auf Commons wäre ja POV, es gibt keine Relevanzkriterien, also sollten auch die Nebenpersonen erwähnt werden. So freue ich mich immer wieder, wenn mir solche Typen wie der Bertil (da ist schon was) unterkommen. Hand Soap Bar

Hallo Karl, Ich habe noch mahl nachfrage getan bei ein Englische Mitarbeiter und er had mir gesagt das Seiffe zum haenden washen "a bar of soap" genaent wird und Seiffe um Kleider zu washen "a bar of washing soap" genannt wird. Am Sonntag, den 1. Mai 2016 startete zum dritten Mal der Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth in Österreich.
Wir laden dich herzlich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mit Fotos von Naturdenkmälern und weiteren unter Naturschutz stehenden Objekten aus Österreich teilzunehmen. Der Zeitraum, in dem die Bilder auf Wikimedia Commons hochgeladen werden sollen, läuft bis 31. Mai 2016.

Kategorie Cholerakapelle, Heiligenkreuz

Hallo Karl, du hast die Kategorie für die Cholerakapelle angelegt. Meiner Ansicht nach ist das Bild von Romako falsch benannt. Zwischen dem ehemaligen Standort der Weilburg und der Cholerakapelle liegen mehrere Kilometer. Auch wenn der Standort der Weilburg nicht mehr genau ermittelbar ist, war sie mit Sicherheit deutlich östlich des Urtelsteins bzw. auch östlich von Rauheneck. Die Cholerakapelle liegt eindeutig mehrere Kilometer weiter westlich. Entweder das Bild von Romako ist ein Phantasiebild oder es war die Kapelle bei der Weilburg gemeint, die 1964 mit den Resten der Weilburg zerstört wurde aber nichts mit der Cholerakapelle zu tun hat, außer dass beide im weitesten Sinne im Helenental gelegen sind. - Andreas Stiasny (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

Hallo Andreas, ich weiß ich kenne alle drei Standorte, halte es allerdings etwa als künstlerische Freiheit. Eine Kapelle bei der Weilburg kenne ich allerdings nicht, dass ich diese damit 1:1 ersetzen könnte. Hallo Karl, hallo Andreas, ich habe die Bildbeschreibung den Unterlagen des Dorotheums entnommen (Auktion 1. April 2009). Im Belvedere existiert ein weiteres Romako-Gemälde mit diesem Sujet. Auch dort wird der Sakralbau als Cholerakapelle bezeichnet: „Die Weilburg mit der Cholerakapelle bei Baden mit Regenbogen“ [5]. --Papergirl (talk) 06:31, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Hallo, entschuldigt bitte, ich habe nicht exakt genug formuliert. Ich bezweifle nicht, dass die Bildbeschreibung des Malers korrekt übernommen wurde, sondern denke, dass der Künstler selbst einem Irrtum aufgesessen ist. Die Kapelle bei der Weilburg ist ja ausreichend gut belegt. Sie ist auf mehreren Bildern zu sehen und befindet sich etwa dort, wo sie Romako auch gemalt hat (Aquarell von Schemel, Postkarte von 1888, Foto aus dem Rollettmuseum, Ölgemälde von 1885). Weiters wird sie im Artikel zur Weilburg bzw. der Diskussion dazu erwähnt. Umbenennen würde ich die Datei auch nicht, sofern der Titel der vom Maler gewählte ist, was ich annehme. Beim Bild sollte man vielleicht anmerken, dass die dargestellte Kapelle ziemlich sicher nicht die Cholerakapelle ist. Category:Mödling train station

Hallo, mir ist soeben aufgefallen dass du Category:Mödling train station vor einiger Zeit auf einen deutschen Kategorienamen zurückverschoben hast. Das verwundert mich insofern etwas, da wenn ich mich recht erinnere einige neue hübsch […] train station benannte Kategorien auf deine Mitarbeit zurückzuführen sind … Wie dem auch sei: Bahnhof Mödling ist kein Eigenname, das zeigt sich zum Beispiel daran, dass auf Commons die meisten Haltestellenkategorien ziemlich zufällig entweder Bahnhof, Haltestelle oder eben korrekt train station im Titel haben (siehe unter anderem Category:Haltestelle Perchtoldsdorf) und Bahnhof auf oebb.at/en von den ÖBB selbst auch übersetzt wird. Auch ich schätze Einheitlichkeit sehr, weshalb ich als Langzeitziel alle NÖ Bahnhofskategorien COM:LP-konform benennen möchte (wobei Category:Train stations in Lower Austria nach Bezirken zu unterteilen und damit wieder nutzbar zu machen höhere Priorität hat, nur bin ich mir hierbei nicht sicher ob nicht Bezirk wie in der en.WP auch übersetzt werden sollte). Train station passt sowohl für Bahnhöfe als auch für Haltestellen. Haltestellen werden ja grundsätzlich von der Bevölkerung als Bahnhöfe bezeichnet, obwohl sie dafür eine bestimmte Anzahl an Weichen bräuchten, wonach (wie in der de.WP) zu unterscheiden meiner Meinung nach aber sowieso nicht sinnvoll ist. Frankreich ist was COM:LP betrifft ein ziemlich hoffnungsloser Fall, mehr noch als Deutschland – zum Glück sind wir Österreicher auf Commons alles in allem doch sehr vernünftig :) .    FDMS  4    16:15, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

@FDMS4: Das darfst du aber nur auf Commons sagen, den Haltestelle ist ohne jede Weiche in Österreich, in Deutschland ist es ein Haltepunkt, auch bei der ÖBB wird der Unterschied gemacht. so haben auch manche Ort einen Bahnhof und eine Haltestelle. Aus diesem Grund halte ich dir Lösung nicht für glücklich - es gibt auch bei den Deutschen keine einzige Train station - du kannst in Tschechien schauen dort steht nur der Ortsname und in Klammer train station siehe Category:Train stations in Benešov District ich sehe also dein Vorpreschen bisher eigentlich als Alleingang. gruß K@rl (talk) 20:42, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Ich weiß, bahntechnisch streng genommen ist es nicht korrekt, Haltestellen/-punkte Bahnhöfe zu nennen. Gerade wenn es in einem Ort einen Bahnhof und eine Haltestelle gibt ist dies für Benutzer sehr verwirrend; die allermeisten hätten wohl unter der Category:Bahnhof Perchtoldsdorf (jetzt Category:Perchtoldsdorf train station (Kaltenleutgebener Bahn)) die Category:Haltestelle Perchtoldsdorf (jetzt Category:Perchtoldsdorf train station) erwartet. Wie gesagt, deutsche (bzw. französische u. a.) Kategorienamen nicht nur von Bahnhöfen sind auf Commons weit verbreitet, was einerseits wohl historisch bedingt und andererseits auf die Muttersprache der im jeweiligen Gebiet hauptsächlich aktiven Benutzer zurückzuführen ist. Alleingang ist die Benennung deshalb aber keiner, selbst wenn ich der aktivste Verwender von train station wäre (was meines Wissens nicht der Fall ist) heißen schließlich die entsprechenden Artikel in der englischsprachigen Wikipedia alle [Bahnhofsname] railway station (wobei auf Commons mit Ausnahme von Großbritannien train station statt railway station verwendet wird). Die tschechische Variante ist unabhängig von der Sprache schlicht semantisch falsch, nachdem z. B. Perchtoldsdorf alleine nicht den Bahnhof bezeichnet und Perchtoldsdorf (train station) implizieren würde, dass es mehrere Perchtoldsdörfer gibt, von denen es sich bei einem um einen Bahnhof handelt.    FDMS  4    22:06, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Du gibst aber damit zu, dass die in Commons gewählte Bezeichnung nicht dem korrekten Englisch entspricht. Neben dem Bahnhof und der Haltestellen, die damit in einen Topf geschmissen werden kommen dann die Hauptbahnhöfe Südbahnhöfe etc, deren Name aber schon stehende Bezeichnungen sind - ich sehe die Bahnhöfe eigentlcih schon als fixe Bezeichnung ähnlcih einer Pfarrkirche oder einem Beethovendenkmal etc. --K@rl (talk) 05:18, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

@FDMS4: Nochmals hinauf zum Anfang, zur ÖBB da irrst du denn die verwenden nur die deutschen Bezeichnungen - es gibt keine englische suche in Wien unter http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en? eine Mainstation oder ähnlich dur wirst nur den Hauptbahnhof finden. nicht dem korrekten Englisch entspricht – beziehst du dich damit auf train station vs. railway station? Bedeutet m. W. dasgleiche und ist reine Konventionssache, wobei die Subkategorien denselben Begriff wie die Hauptkategorien (train station) verwenden sollten. Persönlich würde ich z. B. Wien Hauptbahnhof auch gerne in Vienna main train station umbenennen, Wien Hauptbahnhof wird aber sehr wohl als Eigenname erachtet, was ich voll und ganz respektiere. Wenn Bahnhofsnamen deiner Meinung nach Eigennamen sind, würdest du dann bspw. auf einer Bahnreise in Bosnien etwas wie "wir fahren gerade in željeznička stanica u Čapljina ein" sagen?

Nur zur Klarstellung bzgl. Prozedur: Es mag sein dass ich derzeit als einziger niederösterreichische Bahnhofskategorien auf englische Namen verschiebe, allerdings mache ich das seit 2014 und denke das zu dieser Zeit durchaus mit anderen Benutzern besprochen zu haben (in der Tat keinesfalls auf "höherer Ebene", was wenn wir uns nicht einigen können wohl erforderlich wäre).

Worauf ich mich bei den ÖBB bezog war die Bahnhofsinformation, wo handelte es sich um Eigennamen ja auch auf englisch irgendwo Bahnhof [Bahnhofsname] verwendet werden müsste. Hauptbahnhöfe (ebenso wie Süd- oder Personenbahnhöfe, weshalb es hier ein schwarzes Küken gibt) benenne ich wie gesagt sowieso nicht um.

Bahnhof ist die deutsche Bezeichnung, Mödling der Name. Wäre Bahnhof Mödling ein Eigenname, würde auf Schildern und Aushängen bzw. online nicht Mödling, sondern überall Bahnhof Mödling stehen, das ist mein Punkt. Und dumeinst mit der Änderung von drei Bahnhöfen, wäre dann alles getan. Konsequenz bezeichne ich dann als etwas anderes. Aber jetzt einen Bahnhof nach dem anderen über zehn Jahre verteilt zuändern halte ich auch nicht für Zielführend. Außerdem ist die Disk ja nicht sehr zielführend gewesen, Beim Portal Bahn hast du sicherheitshalber ja gar nicht angefragt. In Richtung Regiowiki gehts leider nur auf die traditionelle Art als einfache Klammer, da wir ja kein Wikimedia Projekt sind sondern nur von WMAT unterstützt werden. Hallo Karl, danke für deine Arbeit. Zur Info: Die 2009er-Jahresangaben können nicht stimmen. Da war wohl die Kamera falsch eingestellt. Es werden für 2009 nur Jänner-Daten angegeben, die - gerade zusammen mit den Uhrzeiten - nie zu dieser Zeit aufgenommen worden sein können. Du beschreibst den Aufnahmezeitpunkt mit September 2011 und in der Beschreibung steht Denkmal an die KZ-Außenstelle in Wiener Neudorf, von Arik Brauer, 2014. Wie kann dieser Zeitliche Unterschied von 3 Jahren entstehen, in der Kategorie, dass das Denkmal erst 2014 errichtet wurde.

Hallo Karl! Ich bin leider noch etwas unerfahren bei den commons und weiß nicht, wo ich solche Fragen stellen kann. Ich mache es mir daher leicht und frage Dich. :-). Meine Frage: Wenn ich auf einem Berg in Niederösterreich stehe und ein Panorama fotografiere, wo ausschließlich eine Landschaft in der Steiermark zu sehen ist, gehört es dann nach Niederösterreich, oder nach Steiermark kategorisiert? Reibradgetriebe-Bild

Hallo Karl Gruber,

ich habe den Artikel de:Friktionsgetriebe überarbeitet und bin von dort aus auf dein Bild gestoßen. Ich muss sagen, dass es nicht mehr gut aussieht, wenn man es vergrößert (Bildrauschen, unscharf). @Sascha GPD: Du magst schon recht haben, dass das Foto nicct das beste ist. Aber dann kannst du es aus dem Artikel rausnehmen, ein besseres machen oder mich direkt ansprechen. So ist das als Neuling, der du ja nach deiner kürzlichen Anmeldung bist, eine etwas Oberlehrerhafte Art oder bist du eh eine Sockenpuppe, die mit solchen Aktionen seinen normalen User nicht schmutzig macht. Beides habe ich als langjähriger Nutzer nicht notwendig und finde es nicht in Ordnung. Ich möchte das Foto gar nicht aus dem Artikel rausnehmen, offenbar ist es ja das einzige von einem Reibradgetriebe. Ich finde nur, dass die Kennzeichnung zutreffend ist. Und du hast völlig Recht, dass ich vor Jahren schon einmal in der Wikipedia mitgeschrieben habe. Was mich allerdings damals schon gestört hat, ist, dass sich "Altnutzer" ziemlich viele Sachen herausnehmen, bei denen ein neuer Nutzer gleich Ärger kriegt. Normally such redirects will deleted, you are not the first userm which made me such problems :-( it's only necessary, that you add the origin number on the new name too and all could be okay. But you must ask the user, especially, if this user is the most time online. Auf https://europaforum.at/archiv/european-forum-wachau-2011/ und unter Archiv für weitere Jahrgänge gibt es die Teilnehmerinnenlisten. Das hilft beim Identifizieren der Personen. Warum der LH von Mittelösterreich, den eh jeder kennt, kategorisiert wird, seine Gäste aus Ungarn, Kroatien, Slowenien, … aber nicht, leuchtet (auch unter dem Gesichtspunkt NPOV) nicht ein. Es ist schade, dass schon die Website des Europa-Forums es nicht der Mühe wert findet, die Bilder mit den abgebildeten Personen zu beschriften, müssen wir das nachmachen? Je härter es ist, jemand relevanten auf einem Bild zu identifizieren, umso wertvoller für die WP kann dieses Bild sein. Prölls und Spindis haben wir schon ziemlich viele und der Grenznutzen weiterer Bilder dieser ist verschwindend. lg --Herzi Pinki (talk) 09:34, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

Ganz einfach, weil ich unter Druck war, alle Fotos hochzuladen, da es sonst nicht mit den Freigaben klappt. Und das ist so mit dem Uniprojekt und der Landesregierung vereinbart. Die ich auswendig weiß kategorisiere ich gleich, bei anderen frage ich nach wie BSonne der ja auch dabei war. Und nachdem das nicht die Hackn bei der Uni ist, ist es step by step. Re:Rohrbach

Hallo, Karl! Entschuldige, aber ich habe gerade etwas viel um die Ohren. Was das Totenrufen angeht, so sind in der Topothek Rohrbach-Berg ein paar brauchbare Bilder enthalten, die ich dir wohl auch im Original übermitteln könnte, denn ich kenne Anton Brand, den dortigen Topothekar, recht gut. Außerdem ist der Sohn des letzten Totenrufers Alfred Höglinger mit mir befreundet; wenn ich ihn mal erwische - er ist schwer beschäftigter Pensionist -, werde ich ihn fragen, ob er über Bildmaterial verfügt. Vielen Dank für die Verlinkung meiner Topothek; möglicherweise werde ich mich auch an der Regiowiki beteiligen - aber wahrscheinlich erst, wenn ich ab September in Pension bin. @Xenophon: Das klingt ja recht verheißungsvoll. Im Regiowiki verwende ich eh nur Fotos aus Commons - im RW kann man eh nichts hochladen. Da müssen wir dann Freigaben bekommen, wenn sie von jemanden anderen sind. Would you contact @Evetro: again and make him understand the correct procedure of uploading photos and copyright implication? It seems you have helped him to obtain the OTRS permission for is previous uploads but he has redone the same mistake again with this photo. I have proposed it again for deletion because this kind of copyrighted material cannot be uploaded without OTRS. I will do it again and again if he continues. If it does not work, I will have to ask an administrator to block him.

Lieber Alexander Hug, ich hoffe ein Du stört nicht, wie ich es bei Wikiprojekten gewöhnt bin. Soweit es mir möglcih war, habe ich es gemacht, aber auch nach 15 Jahren kommen immer wieder neue Kategorien dazu, dass ich nicht permanent nachkategorisieren kann. Und nur deswegen, weil ich keine Kategorie - keine ist übertrieben, denn alle sind in der Museumskategorie - fast keine finde, werde ich sicher nicht ein Upload eines Fotos unterlassen. Okay, ist mir durchgerutscht, aber 1960, wenn auhc noch in Gebrauch, würde ich diese TS schon als historisch bezeichnen, wobei mir der Istvan kein Begriff ist. Sicher stehen bei uns auch noch Rosenbauer aus den 60er Jahre in Reserve, aber der Großteil wurde schon ersetzt und ist nur mehr in den zahlreichen Museen der einzelnen Feuerwehren zu finden. Vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu WikiDaheim! Von Ende Juli bis Anfang Oktober wurden so insgesamt mehr als 7.000 Bilder hochgeladen und viele Ort in Österreich in der Wikipedia und anderen Projekten mit neuen Bildern versehen, was nur dank der vielen Beiträge wie Deinem möglich war.

Die 561 besten Bilder wurden in den letzten Wochen von einer Vorjury ausgesucht, die Du dir hier anschauen kannst - vielleicht sind auch Bilder von Dir dabei! :-) Eine Jury wird nun bis Mitte November die zehn besten Bilder aussuchen, die Preisträger werden danach von uns verständigt.

Nochmals vielen Dank für Deine Beiträge. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch in Zukunft die Wikimedia-Projekte bebilderst! Im 2. Halbjahr 2018 wird WikiDaheim wahrscheinlich wieder stattfinden - wir würden uns freuen, wenn du dann wieder dabei wärst :-) Solltest Du Fragen haben, so kannst Du Dich gerne an wikidaheimwikimedia.at wenden.

Hallo, ich habe dieses Kommentar von dir ohne weiteres rückgängig gemacht, weil das auf Englisch nicht gerade höflich klingt, eher nach Beleidigung. Mich würde dennoch interessieren was du damit sagen wolltest. Ich glaube, dass auf Deutsch wirst du dir einfacher tun, und für mich macht es keinen großen Unterschied ggü. Englisch. Nein, du gestört bist habe ich sicher nihct gemeint. Ich habe es so verstanden, dass du und auch andere sich gestört fühlen, wenn die Beobachtungsseite durch Aktionen wie sie GT1976 macht so stark anschwillt oder gefüllt wird. Der selbe Effekt wäre wenn diese speziellen Kategorien gelöscht würden, denn auch dann wäre ein Füllen der Beobachtungsseiten der Erfolg. Nachdem es aber keine Vorschriften in eine der Richtungen gibt, ist nichts anderes möglich als alles so lassen wie es ist. Daher ergibt sich für mich die Folgerung: Wenn dann doch jemand in eine dieser Richtungen arbeitet, so kann man ihn nur sperren - denn andere Möglichkeit gibt es keine - oder habe ich es ganz falsch verstanden. Ich weiß schon, dass sich das ganze aufgeschaukelt hat - aber was ist wirklich allgemein die Lösung? - das hab ich nicht verstanden.--K@rl (talk) 21:35, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

Doch, wenn jemand in eine dieser Richtungen arbeitet, dann kann man ihn vorwarnen und nochmals vorwarnen, auch beraten z.B. für die Nutzung von einem Bot, oder darum bitten, dass eine Einigung in Projekt für solche massive Edits notwendig wäre, aber wenn das alles nicht hilft und dieser Benutzer seinen Kreuzzug fortsetzt, dann bleibt tatsächlich leider am Ende nur eins. Das kann ich nur teilweise verstehen. Denn ist doch auch Aufgabe der Admins, nicht nur Benutzer zu sperren, sondern auch den Ursachen auf den Grund zu gehen und sie danach zu verhindern oder vermindern. die Grundaufgabe Ruhe insgesamt und nicht nur für einzelne zu schaffen. --K@rl (talk) 21:28, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Das sehe ich anders, die Sache auf den Grund zu gehen, heißt in diesen Fall die Abstimmung zu fahren, um ein Konvention für die Anlage von Kategorien festzulegen und dann noch abstimmen ob dann wie, die bestehenden Kategorien anpasst. Ich glaube Admins (das ist bei mir eher weniger der Fall) haben mehr als genug mit Adminaufgaben zu tun, geschweige denn die Ursache von Problemen wie diese zu treiben. Editoren gibt es Hunderte, aktive Admins ganz wenige und kriege, wie gesagt, genug, und häufig undankbare, Arbeit. Poco² 19:00, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Ich war selber 12 Jahr Admin auf de - und ich sehe schon die Aufgabe Ursachen von Missständen zu beheben und nicht die Wirkung - denn das wäre für alle günstiger und im Endeffekt weniger Arbeit. ... hier auf die OTRS-Bestätigung warten, ehe du den URV-Verdacht äußerst? Das Büro des Abgeordneten hat die Bestätigung, dass sie über das ausschließliche, vom Fotografen erworbene Nutzungsrecht verfügen und das Bild daher unter der genannten Lizenz zur Verfügung stellen bereits an das OTRS-Team geschickt. Freilichtmuseum Ensemble Gerersdorf

Hallo Karl, ich habe Category:Freilichtmuseum Ensemble Gerersdorf durchgearbeitet und in die einzelnen Gebäude aufgeteilt. War natürlich etwas Raterei, da Ausstellungsstücke halt wenig Info ist. Das BDA hat die Gebäude auch einzeln unter Denkmalschutz und andere gar nicht. So ist der Glockenturm eine Nachbildung und nicht unter Denkmalschutz. Die denkmalgeschützten Objekte gehören unter topic=Cultural heritage monuments einsortert (=WLM international), der Rest unter topic=Unspecified oder von mir aus auch topic=Commons (weil Museum). Könntest du bitte die ganze Kategorie durchsehen, ob ich deine Bilder richtig den Gebäuden zugeordnet habe, und ob du die noch nicht zugeordneten Bilder ev. Gebäuden zuordnen könntest. Wikidata und Commonscat verbinden

Hallo Karl, könntest du bitte, wenn du Commonscategorien anlegst, diese mit den passenden Wikidata-Einträgen verbinden. Etwa Category:Marktbrunnen (Aigen, Mühlviertel). In etwa: Bitte in Commonscats immer den Baustein {{wikidata infobox}} einbauen und durch Eintrag beim Sitelink Andere Websites (nicht Commons category (P373)!) auf Wikidata Commonscat- und Wikidata-Einträge verbinden. Dies dann, wenn ein Wikidata-Eintrag für das Objekt existiert, was bei denkmalgeschützten Objekten bis 2017 meist der Fall ist (du findest den Wikidata-Eintrag mit selber id über den wikidata-link im Baustein Denkmalgeschütztes Objekt Österreich / doo). Bei der Gelegenheit bitte den Wikidata-Eintrag überprüfen und ergänzen.

Fotoprojekt Volkskundemuseum-Depot

Wir haben am 5. Juni die einmalige Gelegenheit, 40 ausgewählte, sonst nicht öffentlich zugängliche Objekte im Depot des Volkskundemuseums im Wiener Hafen zu fotografieren, zu denen wir auch Erläuterungen vor Ort sowie Beschreibungstexte bekommen. Sorry, dass ich bei Dir noch mal nachfrage. Denkst Du echt, ich habe Deine Rechte beschnitten, weil ich dein Bild beschnitten habe? Sowas wollte ich sicher nicht!

In den letzten Jahren konnte ich Bilder, auch wenn ich sie geringfügiger(!) wie Dein Bild, verändert hatte, nicht unter einem veränderten Dateinamen hochladen, weil Commons meldete, mein Bild sei auf Commons bereits vorhanden.

Du könntest es ja mal testen und einen ähnlichen Ausschnit wie meinen Ausschnitt (da habe ich ja keinerlei Rechte, das ist keine Kunst!) hochladen. Als Version. Du könntest damit erreichen, dass Dein Name als Urheber bei File:Europaforum_Wachau-2019_1188.JPG in den Versionen ganz unten + ganz oben in den Versionen erscheint. Du könntest sogar, wenn es Dir möglich ist, die Mikrophone rausretuschieren, dann könnte Dein Ausschnitt noch schmäler sein.

Elisabeth59 möchte ja dieses Photo (oder einen Ausschnitt Deines neuen Bildes wohl als Titelfoto bei w:Brigitte Bierlein einbauen. (Hat sie in einer Zusammenfassungszeile ja darum gebeten).

Ich bin keiner der extra dazu schreibt, wenn jemand ein Foto von mir verändern will, dann soll er es unter einem anderen Namen hochladen. Aber gerade beim Croppen ist es nach meiner erfahrung sowie so üblich, da es ja jeder in anderer Größe brauchen kann. Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. Um jemanden leichter ansprechen zu können, setzt du einfach {{ping|Benutzername}}, dann bekommt der andere automatisch die Nachricht. Feuerwehrhaus Wolfsberg: habe nur das Mosaikbild mit dem hl.Florian fotografiert. Das FF-Haus liegt an einer sehr stark befahrenen Durchzugsstraße im Zentrum von Wolfsberg; Aufnahme ist bei meiner nächsten Südkärnten-Tour nur an Sonn- oder Feiertagen wegen der Verkehrsdichte dort möglich. Bis dahin bitte dich noch etwas zu gedulden.

Annemarie Seidl Mundartdichterin aus Wolfsberg: Frau Seidl hat keine Werke veröffentlicht, sondern Lesungen bei öffentlichen Veranstaltungen feierlich umrahmt. Sie ist 2013 verstorben und es gibt einen Nachruf in der Kärntner Ausgabe der Kleinen Zeitung vom März 2013. Frau Seidl ist als Literatin für das Lavanttal eher nicht so bekannt.

Frau Prof. Ilse Storfer-Schmid hat ihre literarischen Wurzeln im Lavanttal, geboren in Wolfsberg und hat bereits namhafte Werke ::::veröffentlicht. Sie lebt derzeit in Himberg in Niederösterreich. Category:HTL-100 Jahre Burgenland

Von der HTL Pinkafeld werden vor und im Jubiläumsjahr 2021 Artikel und Fotos der Heimat im RegiowikiAT erstellt. Lieber Karl, ich spreche da nicht den falschen an. Kannst du das bitte organisieren, dass die Bilder ordentlich kategorisiert werden. (die aktuell nicht kategorisierten Bilder - sind nicht alle, da die Projektkategorie von Bots als ausreichend betrachtet wird!) Noch sind es ja nicht viele, aber wenn das das ganze 2021 läuft, wäre es mir wichtig, dass wer immer das Projekt auf Commons betreut sich um eine ordnungsgemäße Kategorisierung kümmert. Vielleicht findet ja einer / eine von den TeilnehmerInnen Gefallen sich darum zu kümmern? Zumindest Ort und was auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, sollten kategorisiert sein, alternativ natürlich auch eine etwaige Objektkategorie.

Was soll der Anwurf, ich bin da als Regiowikiautor und sonst normaler User. Organisator ist da @Stefan97: - der selbst durch das Lockdown kurzfristig reinkam, für etwaa 80 Schüler Homeoffice zu organisieren. Den Baustein habe ich mit {{ping|Raimund Liebert (WMAT)]] in Absprache gemacht. Ralf habe ich wegen einem Foto gefragt, ansonsten kennt er das Projekt ja gar nicht - Die Kategorie, können wir gerne verstecken. Aber die Schüler haben noch bis Weihnachten Zeit als Hauptaufgabe einen Artikel zu schreiben, zu denen die Fotos als Ergänzung sind. Ich weiß, dass du da selbst einerseits sehr viel leistest, auch andere Werkzeuge, mit denen du eben umgehen kannst, hast - Mehr als 24 Stunden hat auch mein Tag nicht, wegen dir gehe ich nicht 48 Stunden pro Tag in Quarantäne - ich mach ebenso wie du, nur das was ich kann. --gruß -- K@rl (talk) Mid Abstond hoidn xund bleibn 19:45, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Hallo Karl! Bitte was ist ein LA? Soll ich jetzt besser einen Löschantrag für mein Bild von Buchenhain stellen? Jedenfalls werde ich keine modernen Kirchenräume mehr hochladen. Karl-Goldmark-Gedenkhaus

Hallo, ich habe gesehen dass Du vor ein paar tagen ein Bild vom Goldmark-Gedenkhaus in Deutschkreutz hochgeladen hast. Das ist mir aufgefallen, wie ich ich die Cat des Hauses (ich war heute selber dort und habe sie vor ca. 1 1/2 Stunden angelegt) mit der Cat des Denkmals für die Juden von Zelem abgeglichen habe. Da das Haus denkmalgeschützt ist (und ein Bild davon bis vor kurzem auch in der Liste gefehlt hat), habe ich kurzerhand die WikiDaheim-Rubrik auf "Denkmalschutz" umgeschrieben. Das S ist nicht mehr als ein Logo dieser Kette. Vermutlich handelt es sich beim dortigen Bild lediglich um ein Symbolbild, um die Produktion der Kette zu illustrieren. Im Wikipediaartikel steht klipp und klar "Das Wachauer Laberl ist ein Graugebäck aus Weizen- und Roggenmehl". Das dortige Bild zeigt offensichtlich auch nichts einem Weizenbrötchen ähnliches. Also? Noch einmal: Wieso steht im WP Artikel, dass das Wachauer Laberl ein Mischbrot ist, das Bild dementsprechend ein größeres rundes Mischbrot (was auch an der Farbe erkennbar ist) zeigt, aber du versuchst Weizenbrötchen als Wachauer Laberl zu kategorisieren? Unter diesem Link steht übrigens auch nichts davon, dass die Brötchen auf dem Bild Wachauer Laberl seien. Es steht nur, dies sei eine Produktion der Bäckerei Schmidl. A.Savin, dann lies doch bitte einmal den eben von Dir verlinkten Artikel. Erstens steht da ein Rezept, in dem nur Weizenmehl verwendet wird, also keine Spur von Mischbrot, zweitens geht es in dem Artikel eben nur um Wachauer Laberl - warum sollten sie den mit etwas anderem bebildern als eben mit Wachauer Laberln? Wikipedia ist für sehr vieles eine gute Quelle, was die österreichische Küche betrifft, allerdings nicht. Servus Karl, ich war mal wieder in Österreich und hatte die Kamera dabei. Unter anderen habe ich wieder in Matzen einige Fotos gemacht, auch auf dem Friedhof. Hier lassen sich ganz interessante biografische Daten ablesen von ehem. Persönlichkeiten finden. Vielleicht ist ja auch was für Dich dabei. Ansonsten würde sich glaube ich der Geschichtsverein über eine Kontaktaufnahme freuen. Die sind extrem Sattelfest in der Geschichte der Gegend dort und Publizieren auch fleißig regelmässig ihre Ergebnisse. Hallo Karl, falls du damit nix anzufangen weißt, kannst du's evt. weiterleiten: Wenn man auf der https://www.wikidaheim.at/ Wiki-Daheim-Seite auf den Eintrag für die Category:Kruzifix Erhardplatz, Salzburg auf den Hochladepfeil klickt, wird man auf eine Vorlage für den Tiroler Kunstkataster geleitet. (Ich hab trotzdem mal was hochgeladen, kann aber dann natürlich nicht die Option für den Wettbewerb public art anwählen, weil nicht vorhanden.) Ist der Fehler öfters wo? Edits to bot-maintained galleries

I see that you've edited Commons:Files used on RegiowikiAT/1 and others to put them into categories. These galleries will get overwritten by Usage Bot when it next runs, which will undo your changes. Nachdem in Straden nur zwei Kirchen sind, die Pfarrkirche und die Florianikirche - kann es meinen Angaben nur die Pfarrkirche sein, denn in der Floriankirche habei ch um 2 Std. versetzt ebenfalls fotografiert, die auch eingereiht sind. Du meinst wohl diese (Doppel)Kircheː [13]. Diese befindet sich unmittelbar südlich der Pfarrkirche. Diese ist jedoch nur eine Filialkirche und die Fotos stammen definitiv auch nicht aus dieser Filialkirche. Denk nochmal nach, ob ihr bei der Reise im Anschluss nach Straden in einem anderen Ort nicht auch noch eine Kirche besichtigt habt oder sind die Fotos vielleicht gar von deinem nächsten Ausflug. Analysieren wir mal dieses Fotoː [14]. Es zeigt offensichtlich das Ende eines Langhauses mit einer Kanzel. Anschließend einen großen rundbögigen Durchgang zu einem abgesetzten Altarraum, dessen Apsis eine rundbögigen oder x/8-Schluss hat. Mir liegt der Grundriss der Pfarrkirche vor, auch beim besten Willen, bringe ich diese Baulichkeit dort nicht unter. Auffällig ist ja auch noch, dass der abgelichtete Altar doch eher ansehnlich ist. Warum gibt es bei Google unter Straden Kirche Altar davon kein einziges Foto (und im Kirchenführer mit keinem einzigen Wort erwähnt wird)? Gruß -- Bwag (talk) 09:03, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

Hallo Karl, ich bin ein wenig auf Spurensuche gegangen. Ergebnis ist, dass du von Straden Richtung Bad Radkersburg gefahren bist. Dort hast du dir die schönen Murauen angesehen und in der Frauenkirche ein wenig herumgeknipst. Vergl.ː https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Frauenkirche_Bad_Radkersburg_-_Interior. Das bedeutet, dass die Fotos verschoben gehören, da Bildtitel falsch ist. Ich kann dich dabei leider nicht unterstützen, weil ich keine Verschieberechte habe. Hi, I just noticed your User:Karl Gruber/Credits4.0 template on an image, where it says This file has been released under a license which is incompatible with Facebook's licensing terms. It is not permitted to upload this file to Facebook.

Kann ich gerne machen, da es ja nur 6 Berufsfeuerwehren gibt, alles andere sind Volunteer fire departments. Auch die Betriebsfeuerwehren zählen zu diesen (einschließlich z.Bsp. der Flughafenfeuerwehr die in Schwechat 80% Freiwillige dazu haben - wie soll das gehandelt werden.
