Bonjour edit

File:Machairodus giganteus 01.jpg edit

Dear Tylwyth Eldar, I'm sorry to contradict you, but Machairodus is a felid (Felidae), a mammal (Mammalia), not a dinosaur (Dinosauria). Therefore the name and category of the photo are wrong. All the best, PePeEfe (talk) 09:10, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I just realized that Dinosauria is the name of a museum. However, you will understand that the name of the photo was misleading. . All the best, --PePeEfe (talk) 09:14, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Dear @PePeEfe: indeed the name of file, Dinosauria, resend to museum. I understand the problem of confusion and I’m OK for the rename. I named a lot of files with Dinosauria : fossils of mammals, flora, bugs… (for the museum). But, please, do not empty the category : Category:Dinosauria (museum)  . Thank you, Cordially --Tylwyth Eldar (talk) 16:55, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
No, now that I am clear that Dinosauria is a museum, I will not remove the category again, sorry for the inconvenience. It may be wise to rename the remain non-dinosaur files, they may be misleading to other editors. A cordial greeting, --PePeEfe (talk) 17:10, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Millions of cats edit

(namely, file:Wanda Gag-Millions of Cats.jpg) -- is it in the public domain in the US? I would have thought that the Public Domain Day for a 1928 publication would be January 1, 2024. Arlo James Barnes 18:33, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Arlo. For the US, it is not in the public domain. There's one year to wait. This only concerns countries applying the rule: 75 years after death. I uploaded for Wiki-Fr which applies: 70 years after death. Cordially --Tylwyth Eldar (talk) 18:57, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I see. FRwiki doesn't have local upload enabled, so it is obliged to use Commons as a file repository. Commons' servers are hosted in the US, so works must be PD in the US and in the country of original publication (in this case, also the US). Anyway, I look forwarding to uploading the complete book in less than a year. Arlo James Barnes 08:11, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Marbres et "marbres" edit

Bonjour Tylwyth Eldar !

Cordialement, --Tylwyth Eldar (talk) 20:33, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Bon soir Tylwyth Eldar.
