Autopatrol given
editHello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. --1989 (talk) 22:49, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

editThis media may be deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Sulkavan soudut 1982.jpg, is missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted.
If you created the content yourself, enter If someone else created the content, or if it is based on someone else's work, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you! |

Hi. Is this source wrong about Lohrmann being the architect? I99pema (talk) 14:07, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- Hi! Yes, it unfortunately seems so. Here is an official source by the Finnish Heritage Agency, which states otherwise (Fabiania-section) and the official university architecture book (University architecture in Helsinki, 1989, ISBN 951-875-148-X) states so as well. Kissa21782 (talk) 14:13, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- OK! But is it then correct to say that this is the building designed by Jean Wik in 1844? (trying to read the page through google translate :-) ) --I99pema (talk) 14:24, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- That would be correct, although it's tricky, since it was actually designed in three separate parts! So Jean Wik designed the original building that was finished in 1846, and then two additional buildings or "wings" designed by Gustaf Nyström were added in 1890 and 1897. Your photo is taken from Yliopistonkatu, so it's looking at the latter addition, with the original facade on the left of it. Maybe you can try Google translating my brand-new article in fiwiki, if that makes it more understandable :) Kissa21782 (talk) 14:34, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks! Then it it's clear to me --I99pema (talk) 14:40, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

File tagging File:Herbert Lindholm 2016.jpg
editThis media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Herbert Lindholm 2016.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
Hi.This file has been flagged as a possible copyright violation here. I am affiliated with this organisation and have permission to upload this file to wiki commons. What is the best way to proceed in order to prevent deletion? Drewellery28 (talk) 10:14, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi. Sorry for requesting deletion - usually people here at Commons just upload other people's works without caring about copyright. Please follow the instructions at COM:OTRS to prove that you are the owner. (So send an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org that you hold the copyright, and add web links to the images in the email. You can also link File:Sister Rosetta Thorpe and the Chorlton Gospel Train.jpg in the email, so it will be undeleted.) Kissa21782 (talk) 11:04, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Okay great, thanks for the information. I'll follow the steps above. Not to worry, I understand that you need to be diligent. Drewellery28 (talk) 10:53, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
Copyright status: File:Hurjakuru 2019.jpg
editCopyright status: File:Hurjakuru 2019.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Hurjakuru 2019.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

-kyykaarme (talk) 12:36, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Moi, olet ehdottomasti oikeassa. Kissa21782 (talk) 15:17, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Mä kävin mallinetta vähän kääntelemässä. Se sun teksti vaikuttikin siltä, että se on jostain muualta peräisin. "Elävä tai kuollut henkilö" on aika kankea tapa sanoa "henkilö". ;) -kyykaarme (talk) 10:54, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

File:TOP IMG 4867.JPG has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

Your speedy deletion tags
editHello Kissa21782, I noticed that you recently tagged several images for speedy deletion as No realistic educational use: please see our project scope. Unfortunately, "out of scope" is not a speedy deletion criterion. Out-of-scope images that don't meet any more specific speedy-deletion criterion should be listed at COM:DR instead. Thanks, AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 01:08, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
