Recuperar imagen

Hola Alan ¿se podría restaurar el File:Donatoleon.jpg?, fue borrada por medio de una consulta de borrado pero el User:Miguelsalas|cargador]] no se enteró de que se hizo esa consulta, se enteró de que faltaba la imagen al ver el historial en el arículo donde estaba. La imagen la hizo el hijo de Donato León y se la dio al usuario Miguelsalas para que la subiese a commons ya le expliqué que es el autor de la imagen el que tiene que enviar un permiso a OTRS. Si se restaura habrá que ponerle la plantilla "a la espera de recibir el permiso" (no sé como se llama es plantilla). Gracias --Jcfidy (talk) 08:04, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

Sobre la imagen esa, en la consulta de borrado pone "possible copyvio - looks like scan from book - own work claim doubtful", no he visto la imagen pero el autor del libro en el que aparece la imagen es el propio usuario que la subió a commons. Si miras en mi discusión puedes ver lo que me contestó, le solicitó al hijo que firme la autorización para Commons y le dijo que sí que le va a enviar el permiso. --Jcfidy (talk) 16:34, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Me cuenta el usuario por email que esa imagen se la dio su hijo para el libro Almarcheños célebres pero, al no estar libre para descaga todavía, no he podido verificar si está en ese libro (aunque no me dio motivos para hacerme dudar). Gracias Alan por ponerme esta anotación. Resulta que Fcfidy me dio un correo electrónico donde enviar la autorización que me da el hijo del biografiado que es su heredero y el dueño de las fotografías. Por su parte no hay ningún problema, rellena un formulario que le envié, lo firma y nos envía fotocopia de su DNI. ¿Pero dónde envío yo todo eso?, ¿Puedes indicármelo? Ya ves que en esto de Commons ando como un pulpo en un garaje, no sé moverme, lo reconozco. Yo sólo sé redactar y redactar y poco más. Hay varias alternativas de a donde enviar todo:

• permissions-commons@wikimedia.org (Gestion de permisos de Commons)
• permissions-commons-es@wikimedia.org (Gestión de permisos de Commons en español)
• permissions-es@wikimedia.org (Gestión de permisos en español para otros proyectos: Wikipedia, ...)

En el fondo me es indiferente a cual se envíe puesto que tengo acceso a todas y la validez es la misma.

Lo que si recomiendo es poner en copia del email a Jcfidy ya que es la persona que conoce el tema a fondo y así puede coordinar todo.

No me había percatado de que me habías respondido. Estaba liado con las tablas de población consultando datos del INE. Foto restaurada. Veo que la foto de Donato León por fin ha sido restaurada. Gracias por tu ayuda. Cuando la colqué nunca pensé que pudiera tener problemas y luego me pasé tiempo sin fijarme ya si había foto o no. Fue Fcfidy quien me avisó y entonces comencé por poner en español la página para poder controlar algo. The files come from this museum collection and are under CC-BY licence (see the link); we uploaded these files during an edit-a-thon (fr:Projet:Journée contributive récits et encyclopédie). Can you please restore these files, so I can add the link to the collection in the description of the files, as I did on this file, which come from another museum collection. Thank you.

Bot: Removing

Hi. Today I've been informed that you have removed 4 images from the SC Group page and 7 from the Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) HX range of tactical trucks page! Why have you done this when I have had the SC Group and Rheinmetall send in a permissions form for all the posted images? Plus with the help of another administrator, I inserted the correct OTRS pending link to all submitted images, which I was led to believe would postpone deletion for a couple of weeks at least! And why didn't you contact me prior to deletion to check this like the other administrator did?

I'm very new to Wiki and still have a lot to learn but after jumping through every hoop required of me I find the images are deleted anyway!

No, not yet. When I originally published the images I only sort permission from the owners, which I thought, at the time was ok. The images were tagged for removal by another administrator who I asked for help with the correct method of gaining consents, which I did and was advised once the consent forms had been sent to insert an OTRS link to each image whilst the permission process went though. I was told that the process of consent can take a couple of weeks but once the OTRS link was added, the images would remain up for a further month. --UndateableOne (talk) 22:47, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Alan. Can you tell what happens now? The completed OTRS form was submitted last week. What should I expect? Will the images need re-uploading? Sorry for my lack of knowledge concerning this issue, but this is why I'm asking so not to make the same errors in the future.

Just so you know. This was the message I recieved from another administrator that I was working to until you deleted the images.

There are 2 solutions: 1. the company adds a free license on its website, 2. they provide a permission via OTRS for a free license for the images hosted on Commons. The end result is the same: the images are available on the Internet under a free license. If the later solution is chosen, someone with the necessary authority (this depends of the company) has to send a mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org with the text here, and the list of images. Once the permission is sent, you can add the template OTRS pending to each image description, so the files won't be deleted for one month. This gives time to process the ticket, which can take some time, as there is always a backlog, and not enough volunteers. In each instance in addressing the deletion request for each file I commented on the request per commons policy "If you think that the file does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, please explain why on its talk page." -Most of the time that I search with questions re policy I get a response dealing with encyclopedia articles not with policies. What should I do differently?

-If speedy deletion requests are automatically responded to by deletions why are the requests made, and the uploads are not deleted right away?

-Why where the decision made on the basis of them being originally from "copyrighted sources"? The images would not be considered to be copyrightable under the US Copyright act of 1976. Thank you. Rybkovich (talk) 16:55, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

• I don't understand this point. Do yeed links to policies?
• All Speedy deletions request are reviewed one to one by an admin/some admins. If you do not agree with our decision, you may file a request for restoration arguing the motive at COM:UDEL.
• Original sources? A part of the experience, you can learn about many things: EXIF, upload date vs archive.org and Google images, resolution, DMCA, ...
• 1976: Exists Hirtle's table where are explained (almost) all the possibilities to declare a public domain works. Generally for the US must be published before 1923, with exceptions.

Alan, I did everything what was said. I received a written permission from the photographer and copyright holder of the picture, I forwarded this e-mail directly to Wikimedia Commons getting a ticket back. In the message there is a clear info from the photographer that he allows using the picture. Mail was forwarded because only my e-mail address is linked to Wikipedia, which is clear and understandable since I am the creator of the article. Could you be so nice and explain why it is 'on hold'. What do you need more?

You have deleted some files that were actually properly licensed. Files under the categories Category:Ricard Sentandreu interview at La Represa 30-10-2015 and Category:Vicent Chilet interview at La Represa 06-11-2015 Were asked for deletion because some user believed the license wasn't clearly engough. I sent a OTRS ticket where I confirmed that the intention of the authors of the programme was to release their programmes under a CC-BY-SA 4.0 license. It was said clearly in the very first programme File:La Represa - Ràdio Godella - 9-10-2015.ogg (min 1.40-1.55). The deleted programmes are uploaded to Youtube with the Free License (here) and besides is the ORTS e-mail. It was claimed that the photos were previoulsy published in FB without any claim. both pictures had added a "CC BY-SA 4.0" inscription in their description. Prince denison and the National Steel Corporation

Hi! Thanks for dealing with File:Nsc timeline.png. I see that the same user has a number of other uploads relating to the National Steel Corporation, including another timeline. Can I ask you to review those too, or do I need to nominate them one by one? Note: the company folded in 2004, so File:NSC Hot Strip Mill.jpg could not have been taken there in 2013. Deletion of File:2016 KMT Hung Chu.png

Hi there I see that the photo was deleted due to a licence issue? If I don't recall wrongly this was a montage of two photos, one came from the VOA, while the other was actually taken by Gibsontom4 who works in the media/ photographs, so he has rights and access to many photographs of politicians in Taiwan, although recently Wikimedia administrators seems to have deleted many of his photos, despite him releasing them under CC4.0 licenses. How was this a copyright violation? I took the photo, uploaded to my Flickr page, and transferred it from there to Commons. I don't even necessarily object to it being deleted as a courtesy if the people in the picture want it down, but I absolutely did not violate anyone's copyrights and resent the imputation that I did. I don´t know why above mentioned file was deleted, but if deleted, then files File:Brandenburg Gate illuminated by French flag.jpg and File:Pray for Paris 22623096829 cropped.jpg should be deleted as well. In respect to other files, Wikipedia have a very good explanation. If you want, you can request its deletion arguing reasons.

What? Am I missing something? The original picture was the picture of the Brandenburg Gate illuminated in the colours of the French Flag, as proven by the derivatives. The Brandenburg Gate stands in Berlin, Germany. So this should be covered by FOP in Germany, french laws are irrelevant here. --Vachovec1 (talk) 00:01, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
