Hi there!
Hi, I don’t Know if you would read this, but i edited some pages of spanish politics.
I edited an hour ago the 2004 People’s party leadership election page, I’m Spanish and member of this party and I know exactly what happened.
I introduced some names of candidates that declined to run and you delete my editions commenting “???”
Do you know anything of spanish politics? Because you have deleted a very good edit and i think you are very wrong.
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.126.116.227 (talk) 19:17, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello, the values appear to be drastically different for this graph. I was wondering if you could generate 5 new graphs (per party). It should have elements based on company so that we can follow consecutive polling on a company by company basis. Some of these companies seem to have drastically different polling results making a trend assessment impossible. Thanks. -- とある白い猫 ちぃ? 14:19, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

editDear Impru20,
Why did you remove the modification on File:OpinionPollingSpainGeneralElection2016.png ? This file is uselessly overlarge, spanning more one year after the end of the election, a time when obviously there is no more poll about this election… In addition, several months are repeated several times (I then assume that they probably don't correspond to the beginning of the month, but we can't know what they actually correspond to since only the month is given…). You are invited to come and discuss these and other problems of your file here: fr:Wikipédia:Atelier graphique/Images à améliorer#Graphique inutilement long.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.
SenseiAC (talk) 01:38, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- I reiterate the comments done by SenseiAC. Could you please explain why you keep reverting modification on this picture. Like articles, pictures are editable by everyone on Commons. Plus, in this case, the length doesn't seem to make any sense... Thank you for your understanding. Triton (talk) 18:21, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Triton: Just as they are editable, you are also free to upload your own version of the pic into a separate file without overriding already existing files. Indeed, not only you are free to do it, but also, you are required to upload it as a new file when it involves substantial or major changes. This is an actual Wikimedia Commons guideline. Thank you. Impru20 (talk) 18:29, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- Of course. But apparently this modification is necessary to make the file usable since the elections stopped in 2016. People don't want to alter your work just for fun but to improve it. Triton (talk) 23:39, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Triton: No, this modification is not "necessary to make the file usable". Indeed, some of the crops did actually decrease the quality of the pic (such as this). The image as it is has a purpose: to allow it to be more easily comparable to the trend lines of charts for opinion polling in other elections, at least in the English wiki. Anyway, COM:OVERWRITE is very clear. If you want a cropped version of the image, upload it as a new file. Do not overwrite the currently existing file, as it implies a substantial change of it. Impru20 (talk) 07:13, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Your chart may be useful if at least the axis of the date was meaningful. Here the date are actually random dates, impossible to determine, at the middle of the month, and are therefore not useful to compare anything since we actually don't know what we actually have. Also, I don't understand why you want one full year of nothing in your chart. SenseiAC (talk) 08:53, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- @SenseiAC: The chart as it is right now is useful for comparing trend lines in the English wikipedia. If you want it without such blank space, upload your cropped version as a new file. And if you don't like the current chart, then make your own one with the polling data (it is not difficult). Really, I don't understand what is so difficult about it that you want to persistently overwrite an already existing file as if there was no other choice. Impru20 (talk) 09:37, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, now we get the reason why (yet I don't see any article where there is a comparison...anyway). No need to bite, we are all here to improve and help things, nothing more. Good continuation. Triton (talk) 13:28, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Francisco Serrano 2019 (cropped).jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Thanks for uploading File:José Ignacio Ceniceros 2016 (cropped).jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:José Ignacio Ceniceros 2016 (cropped).jpg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Warning
editThis applies to you. That is a parliament diagram of a municipal election in Alcalá de Henares. Thus the categorisation is appropiate. I don't know if a further specific category for "parliament diagrams of municipal elections in Alcalá de Henares" is necessary (vis-à-vis the subset of "parliament diagrams of municipal elections in Alcalá de Henares created by Impru20"?). But that's up to you not to anyone else. You don't own the content of categories named "parliament diagram of municipal elections".--Asqueladd (talk) 16:35, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- I don't understand. The only hostile and disruptive behaviour in here is yours. You are unable to accept different versions of a parliament diagram categorised in the same generic category (whose content you don't own). For some reason you seem to think only files uploaded by you can be included in a category of parliament diagrams of municipal elections. Stop this nonsense.--Asqueladd (talk) 16:50, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
- As I have told you. If you have interest in any particular obscure subset then create a subcategory with a descriptive name (Category:Parliament diagrams of municipal elections in Alcalá de Henares (english wikipedia schema)?) but don't co-opt any generic category, because that's the single disruptive behaviour in here.--Asqueladd (talk) 17:38, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
Renaming files
editHi, I am here to discuss with you about the renaming of File:OpinionPollingSpainGeneralElection1996.png and other similar files. I personally think that the new name File:Opinion Polling of Spain General Election 1996.png is better as the space inbetween the word makes it a clearer representation of what the file is about. Do want to listen to you opinion to as you are the uploader of the files. 大诺史 (talk) 11:33, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry about that :) 大诺史 (talk) 11:37, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi. I recently undertook your recent rename requests. I would appreciate if you could read the above link guidance page, and look to follow that guidance and update the renamed pages accordingly to reflect that nature of their more dynamic updates. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:33, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

- @Incnis Mrsi: This user uploaded those images in order to put them in a Wikipedia article. I removed those from there, and this user tried to undo the deletion request here because they didn't want to have their images removed from that article. Yes, "delete" could also have been used, but "remove" is a correct word here considering that, in context, I was referring to such a situation as well. Impru20 (talk) 11:57, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
Stop reverting without reason!
edit@Impru20, if you are using colors to represent parties and they are not correct, do not reverse true editions that put them the authentic colours. Arguing "if you don't like it, upload another file" is not valid and even less if the file is not even yours. That is not the first time you make this and, please, respect the editors' contributions, especially if they are to improve the article and to correct mistakes. --Alberto Espinosa 17:54, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Autopatrol given
editHello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. ~riley (talk) 05:11, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

2004 People’s Party of Spain congress
editHi there!
Graphical summary
editHi Impru20. My name is Jurajec6 and I am user involved mainly in the Slovak politics. I saw that you uploaded a great graphical summaries for the next Spanish and Italian parliamentary elections. The article with polls for the next Slovak parliamentary election currently lacks such a graphical summary. Since I'm not experienced in creating and editing graphs outside of Wikipedia, I can't change it. But I really like your work. So I just wanted to say and ask if you could create a similar one for Slovakia if you were bored, or at least give us your know-how.
Best regards! Jurajec6 (talk) 22:20, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
Need update
editHi, my name is Danielfpq and I am an unexperienced wikipedia.it user. I've noticed that the graph that is being used for the opinion polling for the next Italian general election is not updated. As the elections approach and a page in Italian will surely be created, the graph should be put up to date for clarity and general understanding. Thank you in advance,
Kind regards, --Danielfpq (talk) 21:59, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
Update Graph
editHi, it has been 3 months since the Next Greek Election Graph has been updated and 18 more polls have been released since then. If we could try to keep regularly updating these graphs that would be helpful. Otherwise I am willing to produce a regularly updated graph for the polling. Thank you. CoaxAndBotany (talk) 00:37, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Will work on it today. Thank you! Impru20 (talk) 08:37, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
Madrid update
editHi @Impru20, there's a new Madrid regional election poll out. Please update the graph when you get the time. Thanks Quinnnnnby (talk) 13:29, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, thank you, I'll do it as soon as I can. Please note that one thing is that charts are outdated by a couple months, another thing is to keep asking for an update every time a new poll comes out. That the chart update is not absolutely immediate does not mean that it won't happen soon. Thanks! Impru20 (talk) 20:23, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
How do I create a polling graph?
editHello Impru20! I was wondering how I can create general election polling graphs like the ones you'ng ve been creating/updating? I was asking because I feel that the 2023 Ecuadorian general election's English wiki article would benefit from having a polling graph. Thanks! TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 19:08, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
Share graph code
editHey Impru20, I was wondering whether you could share the R code. I'm curious about the specific method of local regression used, and I'd like to learn some more about ggplot. Additionally, I could help you update it from time to time, alleviating your work. Best, Tomé Tome.rodriguez (talk) 10:27, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Archivo:Catalunya_En_Comú_2021_logo.svg
editHi, Impru20, in https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:Catalunya_En_Com%C3%BA_2021_logo.svg you change de colour because "In the sourced website this logo is not shown with any particular colour", but the statutes of Catalunya en Comú establish on page 7 (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gOOaxAkTAyk6L7vzwqgUp5DHqJFDHG6C/view) that the party's corporate colors are vermilion (1) and purple (2). I've reverted your edit. Fliz82 (talk) 13:18, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Fliz82; as it says in your marvelous source, the party has several official colours (not a single one). It also shows a black version of the logo in page 7 (where it shows six other versions). I have thus reverted your edit, since black is the most neutral colour here, instead of your cherry-picking of one of these (why should we choose purple and not vermillion, exactly? We should we favour one of the official colours over the others?). Cheers! Impru20 (talk) 14:37, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Black is used in one-ink editions such as electoral ballots, there is no source where the party uses that color while there are multiple examples of the use of purple. Please, stop gaming and respect the corporate image of Catalunya En Comú above your, in this case irrelevant, personal beliefs. Thanks.

- @Fliz82: You provided a source where black is clearly used in the logos together with the other ones. Your source, the party's statutes, use black. The same source clearly states that, if anything, when it comes to pick a colour then vermillion is the main colour over purple, yet you ignore your own source and cherry-pick purple as the main colour to show, for the sake of it. Yes, the party uses purple and vermillion interchangeably (as well as black or even neutral shades). Curiously, since your own initial, authority source proved you wrong, now you seemingly cherry-pick more sources to support your claim and ignore facts, while dubbing my arguments as "irrelevant". No, my friend: this is your own "irrelevant, personal beliefs. Thanks". Cheers! Impru20 (talk) 15:20, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- On the website itself you can see that they use purple.

- @Fliz82: Literally all those links show a vermillion-background logo as the header of the website LOL. You are basically acknowledging my own claim that the colours are used interchangeably (which adds to your own initial source –which you have since ommitted– using black, vermillion and purple, then acknowledging vermillion as the main colour and purple as secondary), but then you somehow pretend that we ignore all colours that are not purple. Impru20 (talk) 15:50, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- I mean, I am not disputing that purple is used, nor I ever did. That's the whole point: purple is used... as well vermillion, and black/white depending on the circunstamces. Your first source uses vermillion, purple and black versions of the logo. That source also says that, if anything, vermillion is dominant. All sources point to the colours being used interchangeably. These colours are used interchangeably across Wikipedia as well, leading to weird situations when a purple logo is used when the article uses vermillion as the party's colour and vice versa. The use of black here is a compromise (one recognized by the party itself) in which neither one is cherry-picked as the single official colour (since the party uses all of them) that also fits all articles across Wikipedia. I am not even opposing that vermillion and purple versions of the logo may be uploaded separately and used across Wikipedia at leisure. Impru20 (talk) 15:59, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- The corporate colors are vermilion and purple, the first being the main and the lilac the secondary. That is, black is not mentioned, reserved for black and white works. If you don't want to put a purple version you should put it in vermilion, not black. Fliz82 (talk) 16:32, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- And in the links that I provide from the website you can also see how the purple is used in rollers, lecterns and official folders. Your probably eroticized, sexualized, paraphilized, black color does not appear anywhere on the web. Fliz82 (talk) 16:40, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Aside of clearly evidencing a lack of genuine care or interest about any arguments other than your own, your reply is absolutely disgusting and out of place. Impru20 (talk) 16:49, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- You use the LOL before, is only a mirror. Fliz82 (talk) 16:55, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- No, it is an outright insult. I did not personally attack you, I used "LOL" as a toned-down way to emphasize that you were pretending to take everyone else as dumb by ignoring that the whole website you kept linking uses other colours (like vermillion everywhere) and by ignoring your own initial source, which you initially kept posting everywhere as an authority source ("hey, that's the party's statutes") until you realized that it showed a black version of the logo similar to the one that has been uploaded. I have attempted to argue with you in a polite way, even pointing an alternative solution (uploading different pics using the various official colours). You have literally thrown accusations at me of things that you have been doing through this discussion, and if I had to tell whether someone here has "eroticized, sexualized, paraphilized" a colour, then that's probably you with your obsession with purple. Anyway, you have let you run out of any meaningful arguments by this point, specially considering your attempt to resort to personal attacks. I hope you have a nice day at the very least. Impru20 (talk) 17:05, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- It is clear that you have no knowledge about corporate identities or how they always provide a black version, however in those statutes they clearly say that the colors are vermilion and not purple, above black, and I have provided you with numerous sources official where it is used when facing the public, one of those colors and, in no case, black. In fact, this has also been the case in CommonsWikimedia for more than two years until you decided that beyond the corporate image with which the party identifies, what is important are your feelings. Fliz82 (talk) 18:06, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- You again come with a rant of personal considerations on myself, combined with a random mix of concepts for no reason, only to attempt to hide you lack of arguments. You have blatantly ignored what I have argued for throughout the discussion: the need for a neutral version of the logo that can be used interchangeably for all articles throughout Wikipedia, without that precluding different versions (in purple or vermillion) being uploaded if required. I have never denied the party uses purple. I have never denied the party uses vermillion. It is you have repeteadly cherry-picked sources, arguments and insults to try to defend the case for purple, ignoring that some wikis (such as the Spanish one) use vermillion for the party and not purple. If corporate identities always provide "a black version" then that means, amid the various versions, than that is the most neutral one. That-is-my-point. On the "two year"-thing: this logo is no different than this one that has been around here for seven years, except that it does not include the imagery. That someone in 2021 chose to upload as official a logo that is not the single, official one does not mean than this cannot be corrected. Impru20 (talk) 18:17, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- "then that means, amid the various versions, than that is the most neutral one": Well, you misunderstand, in Spain a lot of printing is done with one ink, that is, only with a black ink cartridge, for example, electoral ballots, and the Ministry of the Interior does not accept any color other than black in its registry of political parties. For this reason, there are political parties that offer a black version, because if the color originals were printed with black ink the result would not be the most optimal. The statutes clearly state which are the two corporate colors, which do not include black, and those are the colors used in its material and in its social networks by the party, which is more authorized for these purposes than you (and me). Fliz82 (talk) 19:15, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

Method
editHey Impru20,
Thanks for uploading the local regression for the 2024 Basque election. Could you share the methodology you use? Do you use LOESS? If so, how do you select the span? Could you also share whether you use weights, and, if so, how do you use weights, namely how much weight do you give to the result of the last election?
Thanks and best,
