There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Hello, DAJF!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Your Shinkansen photo

Dear DAJF,

I thought you might like to know that I've used one of your photos on my website:

http://www.unmissablejapan.com/etcetera/trains

I've acknowledged it by making it link back to the original page on Flickr.

It's a great photo - thanks very much for making it available under creative commons,

cheers,

Mike

Thanks for letting me know, but please note that you need to actually attribute individual images on your page - as they are not public domain. It becomes especially problematic when you tag your page as "Copyright - All rights reserved". See the Creative Commons page for details. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 07:36, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

File:Tamayodo Station 20121102.JPG

File:Tamayodo Station 20121102.JPG has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Deleted because of improper transfer, neither the required upload history from ja wiki was copied, also only 50% of the license were copied (original is multi-licensed). This is in fact a copyright violation. And I'm not even talking about your failure to mark the original image at ja wiki as available at Commons.Denniss (talk) 10:36, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

OK, thanks for the note. Apologies if I got the licensing wrong along the way, although as the image in question was deleted before I got a chance to see this, it's a bit difficult for me to see exactly what the problem was. As I will no doubt be wanting to transfer other image files from Japanese Wikipedia to Commons in the future, I can't help thinking that a bit of guidance on precisely what licensing format I should have used would perhaps have been more helpful. --DAJF (talk) 13:55, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

That's OK. You are not at fault here, as the Flickr image was tagged with a Commons-compatible license. The problem was that the Flickr user did not actually have permission to upload what was a copyright image. --DAJF (talk) 09:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Tokyo metro icons' colors

Hello! We’re trying to merge the BSicon sets into only a few separate color icon sets — see discussion here. You created back in 2008 the 13 Tokyo metro lines’ icons, and we’d like your input concerning the acceptability of a slight change in the RGB values used. See for one the discussion about Marunouchi. Thank you! -- Tuválkin 21:32, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Are you trying to simplify and reduce the number of different colour variations used? In the case of Tokyo subway icons, I don't think the exact shades are officially specified (trains and signs seem to use quite a few different shades), so I don't think it is too critical. A basic "Red" is fine for the Marunouchi Line colour. The Fukutoshin Line colour is most closely represented by "Sienna", but I suppose any similar brown could be used. --DAJF (talk) 08:59, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply, it was a great help. Keep up the good work, too — your upload gallery is awsome! -- Tuválkin 10:23, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello again! We’re wrapping up the revamping of the “usual-color” BSicons and so far it was decided to keep one of the Tokyo color unchanged and all other with slight changes, as we talked above — of those 4 icons are still to be decided their exact new RGB. The remaining question is whether these icons need to be kept named as they are: Once integrated in the newly organized color sets they will be renamed as "lDST_color", but the current names can be kept as exceptional permanent redirects to those. We’d appreciate your input. This discussion is at Talk:BSicon/Colors#Tokyo. Thank you! -- Tuválkin 00:25, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

--Oka21000 (talk) 16:00, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 00:15, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
--Oka21000 (talk) 09:26, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

QIC discussions

Hi, when you were the original decliner, you do not need to add further   Oppose statements at discussion - your original statement is enough. Might I in future suggest you add   Oppose to your original statement, if you do not believe it was clear enough, and prefix any further comments either by indented reply or with   Comment? That way it makes vote counting easier for whoever closes it. -mattbuck (Talk) 08:11, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. The top and right-hand side of the image have white borders, which need to be trimmed. Do you have Photoshop or other similar photo retouching software? Even if you don't have any special software, if you are using Windows, you can trim images easily using the built-in photo viewing software. But if you are having problems, I can easily trim it for you and upload the corrected version. --DAJF (talk) 12:32, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

User talk:

re the change to the zh version of the template, sure it translates automatically if you click on the right buttons, but if someone not going to look for the right buttons to press then the entire thing becomes a bit meaningless, which is why I often change the welcome template to the appropriate language for users who seem to have difficulty getting the point, like this one.

In this case it was actually done with the intention of also giving him a warning for being rude to you, and using uncivil language, in his comment above. I'm sure you realise this, because if you read the hanzi as kanji they mean the same thing (ja:日本鬼子). There really is no place on Commons for going this type of language, however if he's insistent that he can't read English then it would have had to be done in Chinese. However writing in Chinese on my English keypad is a real pain and I was going to take the time today to do it. Does this better explain my reasoning to you?--KTo288 (talk) 14:03, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to write back. Your reasoning does make sense, although the individual language versions of translated message templates do indicate that they are not supposed to be used directly. But thanks for stepping in to give the user a reprimand. I had actually figured out what the Chinese comment meant, thanks to Google Translate, and just found it rather amusing since I'm not even Japanese. --DAJF (talk) 14:39, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

No need for thanks for the warning, would do the same for anyone in the same circumstances. He made the same mistake I made from assumming that you're Japanese, from your edit history and userpage, but whether you are Japanese or not there is no reason for anyone to address someone with a racial slur.--KTo288 (talk) 06:05, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Hello. Please look at the source page. If you open it, at the bottom after the pictures on the right hand side there is a CC icon of a person standing ina circle. If you click on it, it takes you to the creative commons website with the license description in English. The photos are under CC-by. --Teemeah (talk) 11:52, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for replying. You are right about the Creative Commons license. I missed it because it was so small, but my mistake. Sorry! In future when uploading images from external websites, you need to add the LicenseReview template after the license so that an admin or reviewer can review and confirm that the license is correct. This is necessary because it then confirms that the image was published under a free license at the time it was uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, which cannot later be revoked even if the website owner subsequently decides to change the license to a non-free license. In other words, it safeguards the image uploaded to Commons. Anyway, I've added the template to the Yong Jun-hyung image, so you can see how it works. It usually takes a couple of days for a reviewer to check it. --DAJF (talk) 12:34, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

@INeverCry: Hello, I'm not an expert about it, but if the uploader is the author of the photograph and allows reusing and sharing his file, is there any problem with the japanese laws ? Because it's the case with this file... Otourly (talk) 16:22, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

If the uploader is indeed the creator of the artwork, that would take care of the FoP issue. Is he also the person who photographed it? I would suggest he contact OTRS so a formal permission ticket can be made which would help to avoid any further confusion or deletions. I don't oppose restoration of the image if everything is found to be in order. INeverCry 20:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Image deletion discussion

You've stopped responding to the discussion, I would respect a response about how you are trying to delete my image over policy guidelines versus laws of Commons and all that I wrote on that page. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 02:56, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi. If this is about the ongoing deletion request at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Currentschooluniformstylesintokyo-jan292015.jpg, I didn't think there was much more I could add to the discussion that hasn't already been said. I nominated the file, stating that I felt it fell foul of the privacy guidelines, as the person's face was (and still is) clearly recognizable. You responded, stating that you felt there was no problem with it. I remain unconvinced, and as our interpretations of the guidelines appear to differ, my view is that it's best just to leave it to other editors or admins to determine whether or not the image should be kept or deleted. --DAJF (talk) 13:58, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
Hey hey. But there is a lot to respond to! As I said over there (where you can respond if you wish): They are guidelines, not laws of Commons. To respect Japanese Wikipedia it is considered good manners to blur out faces of private people in public. But it is not required, as can be seen in the same category that this image exists in. Click it. There are billions of Japanese school students without blurred faces in that category and in other parts of Wikimedia Commons. It is not a requirement on Wikimedia to blur the faces of private people in Japan, it is just good manners. And I did blur the face in this case. So you essentially nominated a perfectly valid file on the base of a guideline not a law. That seems irrational and unfair. Also you told me to to let you know if I think any of your pictures need work, but didn't offer me the same courtesy and instead just want to delete mine? I would like to hear your thinking on this too? Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 04:26, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Okay, so if, instead of nominating the image for deletion, I had just sent you a friendly message pointing out my concerns, what would you have done? --DAJF (talk) 13:12, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Well we aren't on that road are we? I still think it is blurred enough, but after discussion about that with you if I understood your concerns I might have blurred it more, because the whole reason I blur at all is out of "good manners" anyway. (Which confuses me about your blurring faces but not license plates thing? You do realize both are considered good manners on Japanese Wikipedia, right?) I still think you should retract your deletion request, but hopefully some level-headed admin comes along soon and closes it soon. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 02:39, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
It was a genuine question, as you indicated above that you were curious as to why I had nominated the image for deletion without contacting you first. I hoped that the deletion nomination would spur you to fully blur out the face, and while time is running out, there is still time to fix it and thus nullify the deletion request. (If, as I was, you are not familiar with the procedure, you need to contact an admin personally to request deletion of the old revision, but it's a quick and easy process.) But if you feel that the image is OK as it stands, that's fair enough, and I'm happy to let an admin or someone more knowledgeable on such matters make the final decision. And as for what is considered good manners on Japanese Wikipedia, I don't upload images there, so I am not familiar enough with the rules and guidelines that apply there to be able to comment. This discussion is about an image uploaded on Wikimedia Commons and the official guidelines that apply to images uploaded to Commons. --DAJF (talk) 05:48, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
Hey hey. Still confused. If you thought you wanted it more blurred why is trying to delete it more effective than just leave a message on my talk page? Did you assume I would say no? And if so, why? Also do you realize guideline rules are different than laws of Commons? It says, and I quote: It illustrates standards or behaviors which most editors agree with in principle and generally follow. Why do you think that "agree with in principle" and also "generally follow" is the same as must be deleted? I am honestly confused about what is going on in your thinking. I'm honestly confused. All I can think is that you are being stubborn? I don't know. I don't mean that as an attack on you as person, of course, I just mean I'm trying to understand your actions. And if you honestly think that all Japanese photos can't show faces why try to delete photos that at least attempted to blur when many more don't even try that? I'm just confused. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 17:14, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi. In answer to your latest questions... I didn't bother contacting you about my concerns about the image because the last time I tried to offer advice about project guidelines (over on English Wikipedia), I was given the impression that you preferred to do things your own way and didn't appreciate outside interference. My interpretation is that official guidelines should normally be adhered to, and that this particular image crosses the line of acceptability - which is why I flagged it for deletion. I don't believe I have said anywhere that I think all faces should automatically be blurred out in Japanese pictures, and don't see any problem with the vast majority that we see on Commons, in which people are just incidental passers-by in the background. The difference I see here is that the girl in question is the main subject of this image, not just someone who happened to be in the background, and while I understand you made an attempt to blur out her face slightly, I don't think it was sufficient, as the person is still clearly identifiable. This is all stuff I wrote in the original deletion nomination, so we appear to be going round in circles here. --DAJF (talk) 10:32, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
You've just admitted it is a vendetta against me. You said earlier that it wasn't because you didn't look at the user name but only the picture. Now you are saying you didn't contact me because you thought I wouldn't respond to you. So you are conducting a vendetta against me and I find that disappointing and discouraging. Nesnad (talk) 11:17, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Actually it was a just a regular deletion nomination, no different from any others I start on an almost daily basis whenever I see problematic images on Commons. I'm not interested in starting vendettas with you or anyone. --DAJF (talk) 01:01, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

--Kh2K 11:19, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 01:54, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
--Kh2K 16:20, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

My ones

Hi, I am not so experienced at Wiki Commons. What do I need to do regardless those image? How could I source them? Cheers. --115ash (talk) 11:19, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Done. Now it's clear. --115ash (talk) 11:47, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Why are you behaving this way?

Taking my uploads list and posting deletion templates on dozens of photos, while you can obviously see that I'm not a newcomer to this site, and loaded thousands of photos over the years, all with good and verified license is not an honest behavior. If you have doubts about so many of my recent uploads, a single note on my talk page would have clarified the issue. Causing me the need to reply to more than 40 separate requests look more like a behavior of a troll than somebody who really wants to monitor activity here. In reality, all the photos that you have decorated with templates were released with the specified licence and OTRS request were sent minutes after they were uploaded. Oyoyoy (talk) 02:59, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi. The images I tagged were clearly marked as copyright with no indication of permission for them to be uploaded with a free license - hence they were applicable for speedy deletion as blatant copyright violations. If the copyright holder has sent permission to Commons by email, you should tag the respective image pages with . That will provide time (usually a week or so) for permission to be verified and prevent images you have uploaded from being speedy-deleted. You might want to read through the instructions at Commons:OTRS to save yourself more hassle in future. --DAJF (talk) 03:10, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
Going and posting deletion templates on dozens of photos instead of a simple note on my talk page, is simply not smart. Even if you think that a notice is missing. Oyoyoy (talk) 03:36, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Admin?

Hey man. Are you interested to become an administrator on Commons? I see that you are involved in administrative areas (tagging copyvios, filing DRs etc) and I think giving you the tools would be beneficial for the project. I can nominate you if you want to. Thanks! Jianhui67 talkcontribs 15:13, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for the offer and suggestion. I don't think I'm ready to be looking at becoming an admin just yet, but maybe that is something to consider a bit further down the line. But thanks anyway. --DAJF (talk) 22:09, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
No problem. If you feel that you are ready, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thanks! Jianhui67 talkcontribs 08:23, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Discussion on deletion of Jackson61.jpg

Hi I was told to respond to this issue since I uploaded this image. I have the permission from the author of this photograph to use this image. Since this was the first time I uploaded an image to wikicommons, I had a hard time picking the right license; especially that this image was published in China. I thought I included the right license but my picture was still subjected to deletion. Could you let me know what license should I use? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yids Cong (talk • contribs) 20:10, 23 July 2015‎ (UTC) (UTC)

Hi. I can really only repeat what you have already been told when you asked the same question at Commons:Upload help#Correct license for uploading an image. Did you not read that answer?
Basically, if the photo is not your own, you need to provide verifiable proof of permission from the original photographer. See Commons:Permission for the procedure you need to follow. --DAJF (talk) 23:25, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

File:Nagano 2000 Yudanaka 20060531.jpg

File:Nagano 2000 Yudanaka 20060531.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation.

@Ellin Beltz: Hi. I've already requested undeletion of the image here, but if, as an admin, you are able to inspect the file after it was deleted, I would ask that you have another look at it and consider restoring the image. If my memory serves me correctly, the file I uploaded was this file which I transferred from Japanese Wikipedia. While certainly very similar to the image on the blog site you claimed was the original source, and taken at the same location, it should be apparent that they are not actually the same image. For example, the position and colour of the banner immediately to the left of the train is different, and the train destination blinds are different (red lettering versus black lettering). More importantly, the photo I uploaded to Commons was taken and first published in 2006 whereas the blog image was apparently published in 2008.
I would therefore be grateful if you could recheck the deleted image and restore it once you have confirmed that it is not actually a copyright violation. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 04:59, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Heya, see the undel. Next time give me an hour to look at it and you won't have to waste your time typing two times! Ellin Beltz (talk) 16:22, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. I have now added all the details of the original source and uploader etc to the image. That was a slip-up on my part for not including them in the first place. --DAJF (talk) 23:14, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the image(File:Shinkansen 200 series in Omiya.jpg) display - was modified ban Pictures - non-profit. So, it does not matter even if it is deleted.--Wae35244(Talk/History) 10:05, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
If you are saying that the original image had a Commons-compatible license at the time you uploaded it to Commons, what you should have done was to add the LicenseReview tag to the description. The license would then be checked and confirmed by an admin or reviewer, so even if the original Photozou license subsequently changed, the image uploaded to Commons would be safe-guarded. In future, when uploading images to Commons from external sites (such as Photozou or Flickr), you should always add this tag. Hope this helps. --DAJF (talk) 10:16, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Images

hello , @DAJF: I have added sources to all images. Please check them out. Thank you (talk) Makeandtoss (talk) 18:16, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

@DAJF: I was still in the process of collecting sources in order to put them on the pictures, when all my picture were subject to speedy deletion. If you could kindly type a simple warning before doing that. That would be very very great. --Makeandtoss (talk) 23:07, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Actually, they were all copyright violations that appear to have been improperly uploaded to Arabic Wikipedia. You need to be more careful in future about uploading images from dubious sources. --DAJF (talk) 23:48, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

File:Melody Yoko and Maryjun Takahashi at the Shore Magazine launch party.jpg

The owner (Ms. Samantha Rhodes) explained that this content has been released under the public domain license. In fact, the author sent the consent letter to OTRS a month ago, stating that she has a permission to reuse her content from her website (please feel free to contact any of the OTRS agent for confirmation). Therefore, she has an authority to reuse this file from the above-mentioned website, which has not been uploaded in Arabic Wikipedia. --RenRen070193 06:12, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

In case you weren't already aware, I'm not an admin, so I have no idea why you keep telling me this. If permission from the author was sent, you should have tagged the image appropriately at the time. Contact an admin, if you need help, but there's nothing I can do for you. --DAJF (talk) 14:13, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Re: File tagging File:Hybepromo web.jpg

"Fffdiesel" account for block

Hi,

Please block a "Fffdiesel (talk · contribs)" account for indefinite time, doing to massive copyright violations (uploading non-free television screenshots, non-free film screenshots etc.). Files, uploaded by "Fffdiesel", is ready to uploaded only as fair use files in English Wikipedia and any other Wikimedia projects with fair use media approved.

Thanks, Adrianwo (talk) 14:03, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi. I'm not an admin or anything, so I cannot block anyone. I see the editor's uploads have already been marked for speedy deletion as copyright violations, and the editor may well be blocked from editing if they continue to upload copyright images after being warned not to. --DAJF (talk) 14:07, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

OK, that's good to hear, although I notice that the latest batch of files you have uploaded is still completely uncategorized. Please do try and make an effort to add your images to a few categories to help other editors find them. --DAJF (talk) 06:20, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Commons:Deletion requests/File:Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil.jpg

Hi, after our first response at OTRS we grant 30 days to sort things out, which in case of this specific file has succeeded today. If after 30 days permission is still not in order, we delete the file. Please do not nominate a file with this blue OTRS template for deletion. Jcb (talk) 00:52, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

OK, fair enough, but you might want to consider modifying the wording of the tag to explain that, as the current wording implies that verification has failed and adequate permission has not been provided for the file it refers to. --DAJF (talk) 01:12, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Before the images are moved to month categories it is much more important that these have a Year in rail transport by country category. I created Category:2014 in rail transport in Serbia. File:Batch 2015.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

@Amitie 10g: OK, my apologies. I did actually check the list of OTRS members linked to from the OTRS tag on the image, and Techyan wasn't (and still isn't) listed there. Maybe that link should be replaced in the OTRS tag by a link to Special:CentralAuth if that is a more reliable way of checking. --DAJF (talk) 23:22, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Deliberate revert

Hi, Do you always mess with other people's stuff? - Avatar9n (talk) 13:11, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

@Avatar9n: Hi. If by "messing with other people's stuff" you are referring to trying to improve accessibility and navigability by adding valid categories to files that other users have uploaded, then yes, I do it all the time. That's precisely how Wikimedia Commons and other Wiki-based projects are supposed to work, with everyone chipping in to make improvements. --DAJF (talk) 01:11, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
It was more than "improving accessibility and navigability", we know why you did it. - Avatar9n (talk) 08:52, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

Category:Echigo Kotsu

Buses in Japan > Buses in Japan by operator > Buses in Chūbu region > Bus operators in Niigata prefecture > Echigo Kotsu というふうに既にBuses in Japanのカテゴリ内にあるのでBuses in Japanの付与は不要なのです。

--Fb noo (talk) 10:46, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 13:47, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi DAJF, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

 • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the Rename template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
 • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
 • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

--DAJF (talk) 02:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 10:57, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
Done --DAJF (talk) 03:25, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

  Done. --DAJF (talk) 03:54, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

— Preceding unsigned comment added by 栗原 岳 (talk • contribs) 14:52, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 00:53, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

File:Yakushisan (Happo-cho).jpg

— Preceding unsigned comment added by らんで (talk • contribs) 14:21, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

--DAJF (talk) 23:59, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

Congratulations, Dear license reviewer

If you use the helper scripts, you will find the links next to the search box (vector) or as single tabs (monobook). They are named license+ and license-.

Hi DAJF, thanks for your request for license reviewer status. The request has been closed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. You can now start reviewing files – please see Commons:License review and Commons:Flickr files if you haven't done so already. We also have a guide how to detect copyright violations. Potential backlogs include Flickr review, Picasa review, Panoramio review, and files from other sources. You can use one of the following scripts by adding one of the lines to your common.js:

importScript('User:ZooFari/licensereviewer.js'); // stable script for reviewing images from any kind of source OR
importScript('User:Rillke/LicenseReview.js'); // contains also user notification when review fails, auto blacklist-check and auto-thank you message for Flickr-reviews.

Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikimedia-commons webchat on irc.freenode.net. You can also add User license reviewer to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your contributions on Commons! --Lewis Hulbert (talk) 12:22, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

File:Asuka Nishi PC DIY SHOP FreeT event 20121026.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not.

Thank you!

Please explain why was the "Category: Yoga" removed from all the photos I uploaded?

Hi DAJF,

Please explain why the "Category: Yoga" was removed from all the files I have uploaded of yoga poses?

An admin on Wikipedia, MatthewVanitas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MatthewVanitas) recommended that I categorize my posts with the tag "Category: Yoga".

Please advise what you recommend I do, and please be very specific.

MilenaGlebova1989 (talk) 00:08, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

@MilenaGlebova1989: Hi. Sorry for taking a while to reply to your message. The images I saw were categorized in Category:Asana, so they should not also be placed in the parent category Category:Yoga. This is known as "over-categorization", and is explained at COM:OVERCAT. I hope this clarifies the situation. --DAJF (talk) 10:16, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
