Freigaben für gelöschte Bilder eingetroffen

Im Ticket Ticket#2018051210003861 sind mittlerweile die Freigaben für File:AfraTestFall2Item1.jpg, File:Afra2TestBogenS1.jpg, File:AfraTestFall2EingabeMaske.jpg und File:LogoLrsZentrum.png eingetroffen. Du hattest die Bilder mangels Freigaben gelöscht. Sei so nett, schau Dir das mal an und stell die Bilder wieder her - ich habe auf den Commons keine Admin-Rechte, kann Dir diese Arbeit also nicht abnehmen. Ich trag die Lizenzen dann schon nach. Bilder gelöscht

These all were, to the best of my knowledge, rights-cleared via email in 2016. As you can see from their history, the first two were explicitly undeleted before after email confirmation. I've asked about finding the right person to re-confirm the license of the rest -- this would be easier to confirm if all parties can look at the undeleted pages while referencing them via OTRS. I believe these were released in a series of auto-submitted threads following ticket 2016072510000875. Certainly most were, two of them the ones previously undeleted. Masur, please advise. I was able to find in my email (I requested the release and was copied on one thread) a bit of that old discussion. It is ... truly astonishing that it is impossible for us all to review the OTRS thread, or even confirm its existence; and impossible to have this discussion attached to the images in question because they are deleted. Ho, it isnt. Commons accepts only free licenses - see Commons:Licensing. Only the copyright holder can release a free license. You ae not the copyright holder -> you cannot release a free license. Carole Bellows Licensing

Hello JuTa,

I recently saw the tag you put on a photo I uploaded. You suggested that the photo would be deleted because I have not sent my permissions, however this is not true, I sent an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org about 5 days ago with evidence that I have permission to use the photo from the copyright holder. Would you please look into this.

Hi, I changed it now to {{OTRS pending}}, but note: Not you, but the copyright holder should send the releasing mail to the support team. The copyright holder is normaly not the depicted person, but the photographer who took the image. I doubt that your release will get accepted this way. --JuTa 13:30, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

Undelete requests for future files

Hi. I was just wondering if there is any way to "set up" a file to automatically be uploaded to Commons when copyright expires (say, 2055) with pre-written descriptions and information? Many of us might not be here in several decades/will forget to upload them when copyright expires/will have left wikipedia by then. Is there anyway I can upload a file that will not be shown, and some sort of "Undelete in (year)" template, and pre-write descriptions and categories without them showing up on Commons for a breif amount of time? There are lots of historically important photos that I would like to be saved for future generations at the ready when copyright expires.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 21:01, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

See subcats of Category:Undeletion requests. You could upload it now and raise a {{Speedy}} yourself. Then you could add the filename to the corensponding years category. regards. --JuTa 21:51, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

So I upload it now and add a speedy delete template, but should I just note that copyright expires a certain year or should I add something like (example) {{Undelete in 2054}}? By adding the filenames to the respective undelete category, is the original image automatically saved so that it will appear in the respective year, or will someone have to use google (or whatever future search engine exists in a couple decades) to find the image based on the title description? You add the filename (and reason) to i.e. the text of Category:Undelete in 2054. The file(s) can then be undeleted from the commons database - no need to reupload them. That has to be done manually by commons admins. It has allready be done every year beginning of january for the past undeletion requests. regards. --JuTa 02:14, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi, you deleted the image, replacing it with a redirect. However there are a couple of issues:

1. The deletion lost the cross-link with the equivalent TIFF File:Bird's-eye-view of Chicago as it was before the great fire. LOC 74693213.tif, this is worth retaining
2. The file history of the new image shows that this appears to be an incorrect over-write. The original uploaded image is a different image/page from Harper's

I suggest the new file is reverted back to its original upload, LOC 74693213 is restored with its original text, and the global usage of the original file is double checked to see if those uses require the current image or the previous one.

Vorlage Inlcoord

Hallo JuTa, Du hast mir bei meinem Problem mit der Vorlage Dorfstraße 12 / 53.704290; 9.565430 geholfen. Es erscheint - wie ich das wollte - nur die Adresse, nicht die Koordinaten, indem du label= eingeführt hast. Leider funktioniert das nur auf meinem PC, nicht aber auf meinen Handys. Sowohl bei Apple-Handy und Ipad, als auch beim Android-Handy erscheinen die Koodinaten und die Adresse. Lässt sich die Vorlage so erweitern, dass auch auf den Handys nur die Adresse erscheint? Ich war heute zufällig auf der Seite. Da das Entfernen des Antrages mit "K" gekennzeichnet war, habe ich keine Nachricht darüber erhalten und mir eingebildet, seit dem 28.4.18 sei genug Zeit vergangen.

Warum denkst Du, dass https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Friede_sei_mit_Dir erhalten bleiben sollte?

Für mich ist es eine Doublette.

Wegen mir entferne meine Löschantrag einfach wieder. Ich werde ihn nicht wieder erneut stellen.

Female eyes

Guten Tag, Jürgen. (Can I call you so, good admin? :) If I'm not mistaken -in that case it was another good admin- you removed some pics from "Female eyes" cats, because having eyes is a standard feature. I/you mean we should limit pics in those cats to "eyes" and not "females themselves". Now please look at Category:Christy Fichtner. She is under Category:Female green eyes. In none of the pics we can detect the colour of her eyes. As the cat(s) are not titled "females with green eyes, females with blue eyes", etc) IMHO we should remove all those "personal cats" -like this lady's- from the "Female eyes" cats. Du hast File:Dyke March Oldenburg 2018 07.jpg als Duplikat gelöscht und zu einem Redirect gemacht. Zwischenzeitlich habe ich das richige File:Dyke March Oldenburg 2018 07.jpg rausgesucht und neu hochgeladen. Ein Überladen von File:Dyke March Oldenburg 2018 07.jpg war jedoch nicht möglich, da das ja nun ein Redirect ist. Also habe ich File:Dyke March Oldenburg 2018 07a.jpg hochgeladen, und wollte das in File:Dyke March Oldenburg 2018 07.jpg umbenennen lassen, was aber auch nicht geht, weil das ja nun ein Redirect ist. Ich habe das in das Umbenennungsformular eingetragen, aber der Request ist nun seit 2 Tagen unbearbeitet. Das wäre für mich alles viel einfacher und weniger aufwendig und längst erledigt gewesen, wenn Du statt einen Redirect anzulegen, mich einfach auf meiner Talk-Page oder der des Bildes angesprochen hättest. Hallo C.Suthorn, es gibt zur Zeit tausende Duplikate - siehe Special:ListDuplicatedFiles. Ich versuche seit Wochen/Monaten diesen Berg abzuarbeiten. Dabei lösche und redirecte ich häufig mehrere hundert Dateien am Tag. Ich habe als Admin einen Knopf "process redirect", der Rest geht dann automatisch - also Datei löschen, redirect erstellen und Einbindungen ersetzen. Dabei für jede Datei beim Hochlader eine Nachricht zu hinterlassen, und zu fragen ob er lieber keinen redirect möchte, wäre extremst aufwändig. Ich hoffe Du versteht das.

Ich habe die neue Datei nun umbenannt. Falls das nochmal vorkommt, sprich mich bitte direkt an, oder frag auf Commons:Administrators' noticeboard nach, falls ich mal für ein par Tage nicht online sein sollte.

Das Duplikat ist mir überhaupt erst durch Deine Aktion aufgefallen. Der Upload-Assistent hatte Schluckauf, aber ich dachte, ich hätte alle Dateien richtig neu zugeordnet. Ohne diesen Schluckauf (ein Programmierfehler im Assistent), könnte es, soweit ich sehe, überhaupt keine neuen Fälle von Duplikaten mehr geben. Aber da Du mit Skripten arbeitest: Ein Skript kann natürlich auch eine automatische Benachrichtigung erstellen (und dies auch auf Fälle einschränken, wo ein User immer noch aktiv ist). --C.Suthorn (talk) 16:35, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi JJ Georges.The template {{OTRS pending}} needs a date (when it was set). And cuurently those images get deleted after 105+7 days (see Commons:OTRS/backlog, which is plenty of time to solve the cases for OTRS-stuff. License washing

Hello JuTa, could you take a look at this page? I suspect that several of that user's uploads are incorrect and that Flickr was used as a springboard to upload copyrighted images here on Commons.

Rothkegel fehlte eine Bestätigung per mail ans Support-Team (siehe Commons:OTRS) dass er das Bild unter einer freien Lizenz veröffentlichen will. Copyright status of the file "Sultan Muhammad V - Agong of Malaysia.jpg"

Greetings, I noticed that a message was left on the image I uploaded a few days ago, regarding the copyright status of this file. Firstly I am very sorry that I did not add enough copyright information regarding the file. And secondly, my problem was I could not find the copyright license of the file. And I assumed that as the file was taken from the official portal of the government of Malaysia, a picture of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia, it could be used widely. It was entirely my fault that I assumed, but I am really not sure how do I get the copyright information of this image. Hi. I'm surprised to see that Category:2005 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships and Category:2006 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships were empty. Does that mean that the categorized pictures were deleted after I created these categories ? Hi, I dont know. It could be that somebody just kicked the images out the cats after you created and filled them. To check that one would need to check the history of all about 50 million images we have or had, which is in fact impossible. --JuTa 09:59, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello JuTa. I knew, when I uploaded the file, it didn't contained enough information about the license. That is why I, following the instructions of Wikimedia Commons, gave the link to the web page I found it (http://www.puentedemando.com/el-buque-intermares-prepara-su-alistamiento-en-ferrol/) and the author (José R. Montero). Both things are in the summary of the image. As it isn´t mine, I of course indicated where is the image come from. I would be grateful if you can explain how to mantain the image, or what I have to do in order to indicate what type of license should I put.

Everything is per default all rights reversed except explicity otherwised marked. If the is no note about copyright this means its protected yand you should not upload it to commons. Only if you can find a statement that the content or images a release undera free license you may upload it to commons. Hi TheRichic, the best would be you ask on Commons:Village pump or the spanish version Commons:Café, if you could get help to create a new license template for this case. I'm a bit concerned about the part except for the contents on which there are intellectual or industrial property rights on the part of third parties. Its not clearly shown on their webpages which content is on the part of third parties and which not.
