What may look to you as "a piece of cake" is "an impossible mission" to me. Therefore, I cannot stay forever here (I lost already 35 minutes) in trying to re-name or re-load the file under a more proper name, that would be File:Next Store Canterbury England UK 2004 LTT.jpg The syntax of the system is incredible resilient in NOT letting one, as an uploader, to operate little changes. I actually meant that if you would come up with a more appropriate name, I would go and rename it. Please don't rotate any pictures in the book of the Gartenlaube. (47 books with thousands of pictures) In the edition guidelines, as with any other book that is part in the german language wikisource, the pages are as in the book.

The pictures will be extracted, technical improved, and stored with a defined name. As you can see here, this picture exists since 2011-02-25T22:09:58‎

Yes these all mine you can see here the reason why in: user:Martin H. talk page, when I was new here every time I uploaded a picture and I log out I forget the password so when i upload the next file i do it in anther account. after that when user:martin H. explain told me how the rules are here and explain to me how to make this account user:jobas that I can use it in different wiki project. I never did anther account and you can check if you want, that after user:Martin H. help how the project work here and I reared the rules it's was in 20 December 2012. I had only one account and never did new account, and all these accounts have nothing to do with my last uploads and you can chick that I didn't use any of these account in last uploads.

As the picture of the banner outside the theatre clearly shows, the name for this particular company uses the "-er" form. Since both the "-er" and "-re" forms are used by theatre companies in New York City, please be careful to check that you're using the correct one for the specific theatre you're dealing with. Beste Lotje, Zoals je wellicht weet heb ik heel wat foto's in WikiCommons gepubliceerd. Deze beelden/bestanden zijn totonogtoe niet gedocumenteerd, en ik ben volop bezig met de voorbereiding ervan, via de metadata van de originele foto-bestanden. Deze gegevens zijn locatie, sublocatie, provincie, land, koptekst, beschrijving, en (soms) titel, telkens in de originele taal. Deze gegevens zijn geverifiëerd en betrouwbeer. Dit betekent heel wat werk in inzet. Binnenkort zal ik starten met het invoeren van deze gegevens, dit gebeurt in het kader van een Europees project LoCloud. Ik heb echter een gebrek aan kennis tot de Wiki systemen: misschien heb je suggesties? Pol

You marked File:Church 1911.4.1.jpg as a duplicate... I'm a bit torn. It is very, very close to the other one (looks basically like a very slightly different crop). The one marked as a duplicate was actually uploaded first, and normally we keep those, but the later one is the featured picture. However, the first one was uploaded during a Wikipedia editing event with the Smithsonian themselves (has special tags and categories) and I really would not like to lose that documentation. It looks like the Google Art Project got a copy of basically the same image from the Smithsonian (who gave us a number of images that day) and uploaded it there later on. I may remove the duplicate tag so we keep both, which would be unusual, but I think it's the more original source. What do you think? Carl Lindberg (talk) 02:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your effort in improving the file names on Commons. Whereas I do not personally think, that renaming rule #5 about proper nouns is very important (and thus think the original file name was just fine), I acknowledge this is the policy. Please note though, that when you request a file rename of a featured picture such as this one, one has to take into account and update the subpage link to nomination page in the {{Assessment}} template. By default this is not set, and then the template assumes that the nomination page has a subpage name identical to the file name. But when the file has been renamed as now, this is no longer the case and the subpage parameter has to be stated explicitly instead. If you look at the file page it now has a warning displayed in the Assessment template. -- Slaunger (talk) 09:56, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

With reference to your message on my mr-wiktionary talk page about these images on commons seems to be good faith personal promotion purpose and as of now I do not see any particular encyclopedic natability value to the same for any of wikimedia projects. Fankly I do not see any point in renaming or categorisation of the said images. you may process the images as per regular commons protocal.

I think that your renaming should be wrong.

This diamond was named Wittelsbach before being recut by Graff. This picture was posted in 2009, whereas the first public apparition if the diamond after recut is dated 7 January 2010.

So I am asking this picture to come back to its former name.

"Delete" of "speedy delete"?

I heb geprobeerd {{delete}} te gebruiken voor 4 beschamend slechte foto's van Colchicum alpinum, die ik zou willen laten verwijderen, maar ik kreeg altijd als "error message", dat het niet correct ingevuld werd... Daarvoor had ik voor {{speedy delete}} gevraagd. Ik versta niet hoe ik {{delete}} moet gebruiken. Wil je mij AUB helpen?

Het zouden inderdaad voorbeelden kunnen zijn van schade door rupsen of slakken... Het was wel niet de oorspronkelijke bedoeling van die foto's. De laatste foto's van deze zelden gekweekte plant, die ik van de week opgeladen heb, zijn van betere kwaliteit en van niet geschonden bloemen. De miniatuur Alpentijloos, waarvan de bloemen niet groter zijn dan die van een botanische krokus, bloeit als eerste. Twee à drie weken later, meestal een paar dagen voor de gewone herfsttijloos, komt de bloemrijke Byzantijnse herfsttijloos (C. × byzantinum) in bloei. De Byzantijnse en gewone herfsttijloos, waarvan de bloemen groter zijn dan die van de Alpentijloos (ongeveer zoals deze van een Hollandse krokus), zijn in mijn tuin nog niet in bloei. Later komen de gelijkende C. cilicicum, en de Kaukasische herfsttijloos (C. speciosum), zijn var. bornmuelleri (met een bijna volledig witte keel) en zijn heel mooie cv. De Kaukasiche herfsttijlozen zijn nu aan de beurt. Ze zijn steviger en veel beter bestand tegen het slechte weer. Hernoeming File

Beste Lotje,

"Oranje boven" (een patriottische kreet?!?) vind ik inderdaad niet gepast. Op de foto ziet men een tapijt van klimop met vooral roodachtig jong loof van esdoorn-zaailingen en ook groen jong loof van een paar hazelaar-zaailingen. Ik zou de file b.v. hernoemen als "Onderhout in de lente in Nederland".

Variana sitchensis ?

Beste Lotje,

Ik heb de twee foto's File:Valeriana sitchensis - Paradise, Mount Rainier, August 2014 - 01.jpg en File:Valeriana sitchensis - Paradise, Mount Rainier, August 2014 - 02.jpg bekeken. Het zijn inderdaad foto's van de bloesem van een Valeriana. Ze zijn compatibel met de soort sitchensis en zijn opgenomen op een locatie waar deze species aanwezig is. Maar, met alleen een foto van de bloesem is het niet mogelijk een Valeriana soort met absolute zekerheid te identificeren. Het zijn dus foto's van een Valeriana, vermoedelijk van de soort sitchensis.

Ik ben geen specialist van de taxonomie van de tulpen.

Encylopedia of Life, Tropicos en de NCBI taxonomy beschouwen Tulipa agenensis (gevonden in de streek van Agen, Frankrijk, vandaar de naam) en Tulipa systola als aparte soorten. Op Commons is de category Tulipa systola verbonden aan category Tulipa agenensis. Het zijn twee taxa die veel op elkaar lijken. Op p. 461 in John Bryan's "Bulbs", ISBN 0-88192-529-2 wordt het volgende vermeld by de beschrijving van T. systola: "Similar to T. agenensis but leaves waxy".

Ik zou voorstellen de anonieme vermelding zonder meer (als ongepast) te schrappen.

Park van Beervelde

Beste Lotje,

Ik ben sinds jaren niet meer naar Beervelde of Hex geweest en ik had in die tijd nog geen digitale camera. Ik heb ondertussen de alinea "My passion for botany" van mijn user pagina aangepast (dit gedeelte is nu in de verleden tijd gezet).

Mijn allereerste foto's heb ik met een klassieke camera genomen of werden door de digitale camera's van mijn vrouw, zoon en schoonbroer genomen. De foto's van Trillium, niet winterhardede soorten Cyclamen, en een paar andere planten heb ik in 2008 van anderen gekregen. Zie de inleiding van mijn pagina "Photographic Collection".

Ik heb daarna, met mijn eigen digitale camera foto's genomen tijdens onze vakanties (vooral in de Franse Alpen en met Ivo Pauwels in Thailand) of in mijn eigen tuin en die van Ivo. Ik heb ook foto's genomen in de Kruidtuin van Leuven en de Jardin botanique alpin du Lautaret.

Het geslacht Brunsvigia

De Brunsvigia soorten, die verwant zijn aan de "echte" Amaryllis, zijn alle endemisch in Zuid-Afrika. Ik ken er geen Nederlandse naam voor. In het het Engels worden zij "Candelabra lilies" genoemd en in het Afrikaans "Kandelaar".

Een zeldzame cyclaam

Ken je deze zogezegd weinig-winterharde cyclaam, die in mijn tuin weer in bloei is?

Deze zeldzame cyclaam uit Turkije heb ik een paar jaar geleden bij van der Zalm aangeschaft. Cyclamen pseudibericum heeft grotere, elegantere bloemen dan de "gewone" Cyclamen coum. Information template

Beste Lotje, ik kom heel vaak bestanden tegen (vandaag al meerdere) in Category:Images without source, die daar zijn terechtgekomen doordat na een edit van jou de code niet meer klopt. Twee voorbeelden die ik vandaag tegenkwam: deze en deze. Zo je dit in de gaten willen houden? Doorgaans kun je het meeste er denk ik uitvissen door na het opslaan even het resultaat te bekijken. Inderdaad, Jcb, er IS een probleem. Telkens wanneer ik een interwikilink maak en doorlink (om te controleren of deze wel correct is!) krijg ik na het verlaten en bij terugkeer naar commons de boodschap Opnieuw indienen bevestigen.
Er zijn 2 mogelijkheden: ofwel controleer ik de nieuwe interwikilinks niet meer, of wel maak ik er geen meer. Of de bug ooit verdwijnt?... Lotje (talk) 04:32, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Het wil wel eens helpen je browsergeschiedenis op te schonen, bij mij helpt dat als dit soort links beginnen te verdwijnen. Als je dan toch handmatig nomineert, denk er dan aan dat niet alleen het bestand moet worden getagd, maar dat daarnaast de DR pagina moet worden gemaakt, die pagina moet worden toegevoegd aan de dagpagina en dat de uploader moet worden geïnformeerd. Dus even een nominatie van mijzelf als voorbeeld gebruikend, bij de tagging hoort het maken van de DR, het toevoegen van de DR aan de dagpagina en het informeren van de uploader. Re: Arnhemsche Eau de Cologne-fabriek

Dag Lotje,

je slaat de spijker op z'n kop: de geschiedenis van de deze fabriek schreeuwt natuurlijk om een eigen artikel op WP:NL. Ik ben daar een tijd geleden ook al mee begonnen in mijn kladblok, zie nl:Gebruiker:OlafJanssen/Kladblok13. Zoals je ziet is dat nog erg werk in uitvoering en nog erg incompleet.

Ik ben nog druk bezig met het onderzoek naar de fabriek, ik ontdek elke week nog nieuwe feiten en wetenswaardigheden. Ik werk momenteel aan het tweede deel van de publicatie in het Arnhems Historisch Tijdschrift (wordt waarschijnlijk in december of januari gepubliceerd), en ik schat dat er nog wel een deel 3 (en wellicht) 4 gaat komen, gezien de hoeveelheid bronmateriaal die ik nog heb liggen. Ik zorg er uiteraard ook voor dat de tekst en afbeeldingen van de vervolgdelen ook weer op Commons komen te staan.

Doordat ik prioriteiten moet stellen en nog volop met mijn onderzoek bezig ben, ben ik er dan ook nog niet aan toegekomen mijn kladblokartikel verder uit te werken tot een beginnetje danwel volwaardig WP-artikel. Dat wil ik doen zodra het lopend onderzoek enigszins gestabiliseerd is.

Maar als jij er alvast mee wil beginnen, voel je vrij het te doen, dat kan ik alleen maar van harte toejuichen. De geschiedenis van 1873 t/m 1876 zoals die in de PDF op Commons staat klopt nog steeds heel aardig, al heb ik door recent onderzoek nog wat aanvullende informatie en beeldmateriaal gevonden.

Maar van mij mag je... Maar het is ook een idee om op korte termijn een startartikel over de fabriek te maken (de grote lijnen, in de hoofdnaamruimte) en dat dan stapsgewijs uit te breiden. If you create User:Lotje/common.css with just the line .mw-changeslist .mw-rollback-link, .mw-contributions-list .mw-rollback-link { display:none; } so that it matches my common.css that I linked to above, it will hide the rollback links from page histories and user contributions. I operate almost 100% of the time with rollback turned off in this way, because I don't find much use for rollback on Commons, and I think the opportunity for misclicks is too high. Yes these all mine you can see here the reason why in: user:Martin H. talk page, when I was new here every time I uploaded a picture and I log out I forget the password so when i upload the next file i do it in anther account. after that when user:martin H. explain told me how the rules are here and explain to me how to make this account user:jobas that I can use it in different wiki project. I never did anther account and you can check if you want, that after user:Martin H. help how the project work here and I reared the rules it's was in 20 December 2012. I had only one account and never did new account, and all these accounts have nothing to do with my last uploads and you can chick that I didn't use any of these account in last uploads.

Beste Lotje, Zoals je wellicht weet heb ik heel wat foto's in WikiCommons gepubliceerd. Deze beelden/bestanden zijn totonogtoe niet gedocumenteerd, en ik ben volop bezig met de voorbereiding ervan, via de metadata van de originele foto-bestanden. Deze gegevens zijn locatie, sublocatie, provincie, land, koptekst, beschrijving, en (soms) titel, telkens in de originele taal. Deze gegevens zijn geverifiëerd en betrouwbeer. Dit betekent heel wat werk in inzet. Binnenkort zal ik starten met het invoeren van deze gegevens, dit gebeurt in het kader van een Europees project LoCloud. Ik heb echter een gebrek aan kennis tot de Wiki systemen: misschien heb je suggesties? Pol

You marked File:Church 1911.4.1.jpg as a duplicate... I'm a bit torn. It is very, very close to the other one (looks basically like a very slightly different crop). The one marked as a duplicate was actually uploaded first, and normally we keep those, but the later one is the featured picture. However, the first one was uploaded during a Wikipedia editing event with the Smithsonian themselves (has special tags and categories) and I really would not like to lose that documentation. It looks like the Google Art Project got a copy of basically the same image from the Smithsonian (who gave us a number of images that day) and uploaded it there later on. I may remove the duplicate tag so we keep both, which would be unusual, but I think it's the more original source. What do you think? Carl Lindberg (talk) 02:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your effort in improving the file names on Commons. Whereas I do not personally think, that renaming rule #5 about proper nouns is very important (and thus think the original file name was just fine), I acknowledge this is the policy. Please note though, that when you request a file rename of a featured picture such as this one, one has to take into account and update the subpage link to nomination page in the {{Assessment}} template. By default this is not set, and then the template assumes that the nomination page has a subpage name identical to the file name. But when the file has been renamed as now, this is no longer the case and the subpage parameter has to be stated explicitly instead. With reference to your message on my mr-wiktionary talk page about these images on commons seems to be good faith personal promotion purpose and as of now I do not see any particular encyclopedic natability value to the same for any of wikimedia projects. This diamond was named Wittelsbach before being recut by Graff. This picture was posted in 2009, whereas the first public apparition if the diamond after recut is dated 7 January 2010.

So I am asking this picture to come back to its former name.

"Delete" of "speedy delete"?

I heb geprobeerd {{delete}} te gebruiken voor 4 beschamend slechte foto's van Colchicum alpinum, die ik zou willen laten verwijderen, maar ik kreeg altijd als "error message", dat het niet correct ingevuld werd... Daarvoor had ik voor {{speedy delete}} gevraagd. Ik versta niet hoe ik {{delete}} moet gebruiken. Wil je mij AUB helpen?

Het zouden inderdaad voorbeelden kunnen zijn van schade door rupsen of slakken... Het was wel niet de oorspronkelijke bedoeling van die foto's. De laatste foto's van deze zelden gekweekte plant, die ik van de week opgeladen heb, zijn van betere kwaliteit en van niet geschonden bloemen. De miniatuur Alpentijloos, waarvan de bloemen niet groter zijn dan die van een botanische krokus, bloeit als eerste. Twee à drie weken later, meestal een paar dagen voor de gewone herfsttijloos, komt de bloemrijke Byzantijnse herfsttijloos (C. × byzantinum) in bloei. De Byzantijnse en gewone herfsttijloos, waarvan de bloemen groter zijn dan die van de Alpentijloos (ongeveer zoals deze van een Hollandse krokus), zijn in mijn tuin nog niet in bloei. Later komen de gelijkende C. cilicicum, en de Kaukasische herfsttijloos (C. speciosum), zijn var. bornmuelleri (met een bijna volledig witte keel) en zijn heel mooie cv. Voor je info: De eerste herfsttijlozen - C. autumnale (File:Colchicum autumnale close-up 01.JPG) en C. ×byzantinum (File:Colchicum byzantinum close-up 02.JPG) - zijn nu uitgebloeid. De Kaukasiche herfsttijlozen zijn nu aan de beurt. Ze zijn steviger en veel beter bestand tegen het slechte weer. Beste Lotje,

"Oranje boven" (een patriottische kreet?!?) vind ik inderdaad niet gepast. Op de foto ziet men een tapijt van klimop met vooral roodachtig jong loof van esdoorn-zaailingen en ook groen jong loof van een paar hazelaar-zaailingen. Ik zou de file b.v. hernoemen als "Onderhout in de lente in Nederland".

Variana sitchensis ?

Ik heb de twee foto's File:Valeriana sitchensis - Paradise, Mount Rainier, August 2014 - 01.jpg en File:Valeriana sitchensis - Paradise, Mount Rainier, August 2014 - 02.jpg bekeken. Het zijn inderdaad foto's van de bloesem van een Valeriana. Ze zijn compatibel met de soort sitchensis en zijn opgenomen op een locatie waar deze species aanwezig is. Maar, met alleen een foto van de bloesem is het niet mogelijk een Valeriana soort met absolute zekerheid te identificeren. Het zijn dus foto's van een Valeriana, vermoedelijk van de soort sitchensis.

Ik ben geen specialist van de taxonomie van de tulpen.

Encylopedia of Life, Tropicos en de NCBI taxonomy beschouwen Tulipa agenensis (gevonden in de streek van Agen, Frankrijk, vandaar de naam) en Tulipa systola als aparte soorten. Op Commons is de category Tulipa systola verbonden aan category Tulipa agenensis. Het zijn twee taxa die veel op elkaar lijken. Park van Beervelde

Beste Lotje,

Ik ben sinds jaren niet meer naar Beervelde of Hex geweest en ik had in die tijd nog geen digitale camera. Ik heb ondertussen de alinea "My passion for botany" van mijn user pagina aangepast (dit gedeelte is nu in de verleden tijd gezet).

Mijn allereerste foto's heb ik met een klassieke camera genomen of werden door de digitale camera's van mijn vrouw, zoon en schoonbroer genomen. De foto's van Trillium, niet winterhardede soorten Cyclamen, en een paar andere planten heb ik in 2008 van anderen gekregen. Zie de inleiding van mijn pagina "Photographic Collection".

Ik heb daarna, met mijn eigen digitale camera foto's genomen tijdens onze vakanties (vooral in de Franse Alpen en met Ivo Pauwels in Thailand) of in mijn eigen tuin en die van Ivo. Ik heb ook foto's genomen in de Kruidtuin van Leuven en de Jardin botanique alpin du Lautaret.

Een zeldzame cyclaam

Information template

Beste Lotje, ik kom heel vaak bestanden tegen (vandaag al meerdere) in Category:Images without source, die daar zijn terechtgekomen doordat na een edit van jou de code niet meer klopt. Twee voorbeelden die ik vandaag tegenkwam: deze en deze. Zo je dit in de gaten willen houden? Doorgaans kun je het meeste er denk ik uitvissen door na het opslaan even het resultaat te bekijken. Inderdaad, Jcb, er IS een probleem. Telkens wanneer ik een interwikilink maak en doorlink (om te controleren of deze wel correct is!) krijg ik na het verlaten en bij terugkeer naar commons de boodschap Opnieuw indienen bevestigen.
Er zijn 2 mogelijkheden: ofwel controleer ik de nieuwe interwikilinks niet meer, of wel maak ik er geen meer. Of de bug ooit verdwijnt?... Lotje (talk) 04:32, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Het wil wel eens helpen je browsergeschiedenis op te schonen, bij mij helpt dat als dit soort links beginnen te verdwijnen. Als je dan toch handmatig nomineert, denk er dan aan dat niet alleen het bestand moet worden getagd, maar dat daarnaast de DR pagina moet worden gemaakt, die pagina moet worden toegevoegd aan de dagpagina en dat de uploader moet worden geïnformeerd. Dus even een nominatie van mijzelf als voorbeeld gebruikend, bij de tagging hoort het maken van de DR, het toevoegen van de DR aan de dagpagina en het informeren van de uploader. Re: Arnhemsche Eau de Cologne-fabriek

Dag Lotje,

je slaat de spijker op z'n kop: de geschiedenis van de deze fabriek schreeuwt natuurlijk om een eigen artikel op WP:NL. Ik ben daar een tijd geleden ook al mee begonnen in mijn kladblok, zie nl:Gebruiker:OlafJanssen/Kladblok13. Zoals je ziet is dat nog erg werk in uitvoering en nog erg incompleet.

Ik ben nog druk bezig met het onderzoek naar de fabriek, ik ontdek elke week nog nieuwe feiten en wetenswaardigheden. Ik werk momenteel aan het tweede deel van de publicatie in het Arnhems Historisch Tijdschrift (wordt waarschijnlijk in december of januari gepubliceerd), en ik schat dat er nog wel een deel 3 (en wellicht) 4 gaat komen, gezien de hoeveelheid bronmateriaal die ik nog heb liggen. Ik zorg er uiteraard ook voor dat de tekst en afbeeldingen van de vervolgdelen ook weer op Commons komen te staan.

Doordat ik prioriteiten moet stellen en nog volop met mijn onderzoek bezig ben, ben ik er dan ook nog niet aan toegekomen mijn kladblokartikel verder uit te werken tot een beginnetje danwel volwaardig WP-artikel. Dat wil ik doen zodra het lopend onderzoek enigszins gestabiliseerd is.

Maar als jij er alvast mee wil beginnen, voel je vrij het te doen, dat kan ik alleen maar van harte toejuichen. De geschiedenis van 1873 t/m 1876 zoals die in de PDF op Commons staat klopt nog steeds heel aardig, al heb ik door recent onderzoek nog wat aanvullende informatie en beeldmateriaal gevonden.

Dag @Lotje: , ja, je kunt gewoon in mijn kladblok werken, of je kunt er voor kiezen om een kopie naar een eigen kladblok te maken, omdat het normaliter not-done is om iemand anders kladblok te bewerken. Maar van mij mag je... Maar het is ook een idee om op korte termijn een startartikel over de fabriek te maken (de grote lijnen, in de hoofdnaamruimte) en dat dan stapsgewijs uit te breiden. Dan werken we aan 1 centrale versie...

Je noemt een tool, bedoel je dan deze ReFill-tool? Ik snap niet precies wat er nu gebeurd tusen jouw "Overlopen <ref></ref> bewerking" en waarom Brimz dit niet OK vindt....

Ik ga op korte termijn de tekst van Deel 1 aanpassen en uitbreiden, met name om meer links/URLs in het noten-apparaat te zetten, en meer afbeeldingen.

If you create User:Lotje/common.css with just the line .mw-changeslist .mw-rollback-link, .mw-contributions-list .mw-rollback-link { display:none; } so that it matches my common.css that I linked to above, it will hide the rollback links from page histories and user contributions. I operate almost 100% of the time with rollback turned off in this way, because I don't find much use for rollback on Commons, and I think the opportunity for misclicks is too high.
