Переименование

Здравствуйтеǃ Во всех подкатегориях категории Stamps of the Soviet Union by year можно заменить шаблон типа Soviet Union stamp 1985 CPA 5647.jpg на шаблон 1985 CPA 5647.jpg, то есть просто убрать три первых слова Soviet Union stamp. Как мне сказали в обсуждениях, именно такой короткий шаблон и был утвержден для советских марок (кем и когда, не знаю). Мне он тоже не нравится, как и некоторым другим. Считаю, что название советской марки может быть таким - Soviet stamp CPA <год> #<номер> <очень краткое описание>.jpg. (Надо же, и здесь двоеточия не ставятся с клавиатуры, как и некоторые другие символы и буквы. Кстати, не знаете, почему?) Это пара 1975 CPA 4457 (1).jpg и 1975 CPA 4457.jpg. Оставляем 1975 CPA 4457 (1).jpg. Это легкий случай, здесь все очевидно. Шаг 1-й. Переименование файлов. Смотрим, правильное ли имя у марки, которую оставляем. В данном случае нет. Поэтому шаг 1-й работает и нужно обменять имена этих файлов. --Matsievsky (talk) 14:01, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Вот тут возникает проблема... при попытке переименовать файл А в файл Б система говорит, что это имя уже занято, т.к. при переименовании файла происходит не удаление первичного названия, а создание копии файла с новым названием. Спрашивай у меня такие вещи, на форуме не надо. Обмен имен - стандартная программистская задача. Делается за 3 переименования через третье имя. Сначала называешь любой из двух файлов каким-нибудь третьим временным именем. Дальше еще два переименования, но уже все понятно. В итоге файлы меняются именами. Стопǃ В данном случае можно за 2 переименования. Файл 1975 CPA 4457.jpg переименовываешь в 1975 CPA 4457 cancelled.jpg (это гашеная марка). Затем 1975 CPA 4457 (1).jpg - в 1975 CPA 4457.jpg. Ты немножко не понял сути проблемы (полагаю, можно на "ты"?))). Когда мы переименовываем файл А в файл Б, мы по сути не меняем название, а создаем копию этого файла (не совсем копию, не знаю как верно объяснить, в общем присваиваем ему новое имя, оставляя при этом существовать старое) с новым именем. Старое имя так же остается "зарезервированным" для этого файла. Т.е. суть в том, что нужно удалять вручную старую копию файла, для того, чтобы на его место записать новый файл. Но вместе с ним удалится и сам итоговый файл, его нужно первично скачать на компьютер и после удаления перезалить, восстановив при этом журнал использований файл и проверив (исправив) все ссылки на него. Надеюсь, что более-менее понятно будет, я , к сожалению, не могу верно сформулировать эту мысль. Stuchka (talk) 18:21, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Ты знаешь, а я действительно не понимаю сути проблемы. Дело в том, что я уже неоднократно переименовывал файлы так, как я описал (ну, не сам переименовывал, ставил запросы). Неужели каждый раз тот, кто переименовывал, записывал файл на диск? Кстати, ссылок в данном случае не будет. Насколько я себе представляю процесс переименования, при переименовании не создается второй физический файл, а появляется новое имя, при этом старое имя остается и с него идет перенаправление. Поскольку осталось старое имя, просто так с этим именем новый файл не запишешь. Нужно удалить это старое имя. --Matsievsky (talk) 20:53, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Да, файл 1975 CPA 4480 (1).jpg пропустила, там тире было. И для файлов с uneven lighting выполним еще 2 шага. 2-й шаг. Страницы, на которые ссылаются файлы uneven lighting, нужно отредактировать. Нужно зайти на эти страницы, найти на них ссылку на этот файл с uneven lighting и поменять имя файла на правильные, то есть удалить uneven lighting. Исключение составляет страница участника, который загрузил файл. Ему оставляем его файл. 3-й шаг. Самый простой. Все категории из файлов с uneven lighting переносим в правильные файлы, то есть файлы без uneven lighting. Исключение составляет личная категория участника, который загрузил файл. Оставляем только одну категорию Stamps of the Soviet Union, 1975, которую в конце переименовываем в нашу категорию Poor quality duplicate stamps of the Soviet Union. Т.е. те марки, которые идут в обрамлении, мы заливаем с обрамлением как марку 19nn CPA xxxx.jpg, саму марку без обрамления как 19nn CPA xxxx Stamp.jpg а марки с отрывной половинкой как 19nn CPA xxxx and label.jpg, я верно понимаю? Блок с этой маркой высылаю тебе), как один из файлов, вызвавших вопросы. Саму марку переименовала. По поводу филателии - я просто нашла каталог с соответствующей нумерацией. Да, ты все правильно понимаешь. А марки с оторванной отрывной половинкой просто как 19nn CPA xxxx.jpg. Марки с обрамлением называются блоком. На блоке может быть и не одна марка, а несколько. Ага, значит, надо править. В начале переименованной категории 2 ссылки на категории, что я поставил. Эти категории имеют обратные ссылки. Вторую исправил, что с Викиучебника. Понятно, что реакция слегка запоздала, но вот таким рувикипедизмом заниматься не надо ни здесь, ни в en.Wikipedia если когда придётся там работать. Заявления об «ошибочности» с целью подставить под удаление, тем более явно ложные, очень не любят. Переименовали категорию — замечательно, ставим {{Catredirect}} (в принципе, не обязательно туда, куда ушло содержимое) и оставляем грамотным участникам разбираться, что́ там ошибочное или нет. А в ru.Wikipedia большинству просто наплевать и на ссылки извне, и на соблюдение авторства участников, страницы с правками которых попадают под удаление. Переименование файла 1975 CPA 4438.jpg в файл 1975 CPA 4438 Stamp.jpg наверно лучше отменить. Потом перезалить файл 1975 CPA 4438.jpg блоком. Потом загрузить марку 1975 CPA 4438 Stanmp.jpg по-новой. --Matsievsky (talk) 20:45, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Проблема в том, что отменить переименование файла невозможно, мне, по крайней мере. При попытке совершить сей акт, система уведомляет меня, что сию правку уже отменили до меня, но абсолютно ничего при этом не происходит. При попытке принудительно запихнуть блок поверх этой отдельной марки система опять же визирует для блока имя со Stampом. Предлагаю собрать в кучку все необходимые переименования (которые мне неподвластны), а потом одарить ими администраторов, чтобы не мучить их из-за каждой подобной правки. А я потом всё нужное залью. Например, по году. Закончим с 1975-м, вычленим всё на перековку и - к администраторам. Stuchka (talk) 22:25, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2022 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the seventeenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2022) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the two most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 1 will end on 1 May 2023, 23:59:59 UTC.
