As you can see below, many of these species are missing on Commons.

That is why, I probably have to stop. I fear I may have overwhelmed Thiotrix too. I don’t know. The problem is M.O. has so many image that people forget to upload to Commons. But then someone has to subcategorise them. And that takes...a lot more Time and I am not a taxonomist. By my calculations, I uploaded 1533 photos from M.O. and that is more than enough for me. Dear Christian,

I decided to upload several images today reluctantly. The first 7 have existing subcategories--so it was not a problem. I noticed that their subcategory have few images so I decided to upload one ow two more images for them. The last 7 images have no subcategory. I uploaded the last image since it is a beautiful and rare image. It is also the only image of this species on M.O. Also three people agree with the identification so it is likely correctly identified.

• Well, it seems the deletions are old and I likely deleted more than 10 000 images since this event, and I don't remember exactly why I deleted your images. But I used the rationale "copyright violation" and there is 99,99% of chances that I found prior publications in the web. Bourne Windmill

I felt that these photos of the Bourne Windmill would be an improvement/expansion to the page. Replacing the main photo with the color shot (Circa 1975), the 1915 advert, the 90's makeover and the 2003 demolition. "must be explicitly freely licensed, or

Hi Chrisitan Ferrer. Was wondering if you'd take a look at this file. Seems to be the same uploader who uploaded File:Vodafone Logo Italia 2018.png. The uploader was notified of Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Vodafone logos, but didn't comment. Not sure if they understand that logos are not automatically released under a CC license just because they are found online. Jimmie has many good images too, but a lot seems without a doubt downsampled (size often limited to 2000px in the wider size, or even less) which is not disturbing to use in our articles in the web, but it is always better to have a full resolution image. User:Capa23

Hi Christian Ferrer. This editor has uploaded a number of files which were subsequently deleted per COM:DR. The user then appears to have reuploaded the same files under the same name. For example, File:Vodafone.svg and File:LaLiga.svg were previously deleted per Commons:Deletion requests/File:Vodafone.svg and Commons:Deletion requests/File:LaLiga.svg, but the user just re-uploaded them at later dates. The user did not comment in the DRs, so it's not clear whether they disagree with the consensus or just are ignoring it. Moreover, just a quick check of some of the user's recent uploads shows that they are uploading files as "own work" (such as File:Atresplayer.png, File:Movistar Disney.png, File:LOVEStv.png) when they most likely are not. Marcus Osterdahl photo deletion

I have noticed a deletion of a snap shot taken in my studio my a friend in 1990. The picture feature myself sitting at the control desk labelled - Studio ONE Fulham 1990. It appears that the snap shot has been deleted from Commons file. The photo is still available on Google.

I assume you talk about File:Studio ONE Fulham 1990.jpg, that can be seen here for example. A photo, as well as a music song, is a work of art protected by copyright law. In the case of a photo, the copyright holder is usually the photographer, not the subject, until proven otherwise (for example with a professional contract). As written in our policies:

 "Wikimedia Commons only accepts media
   that are explicitly freely licensed, or
   that are in the public domain in at least the United States and in the source country of the work."

In summary we need an evidence that the copyright holder of the photo explicitly agree with a publication here. The copyright holder can send a permission to our permission system. I'm contacting in regards to a profile pic of Vivienne Hu that was uploaded yesterday. • @Chromaticka harmonika: Hello, there are at least 4 issues with your uploads that have been deleted, you must not recreate the files. 1/ the images have already been published in a web site, your website I assume, but without a free license. 2/ the images are photomontages made with images already available in the web, therefore the copyright status is quite unclear. 3/ the images have an aspect somewhat promotional, and this is totally forbidden here 4/ Even without the 3 first issues, the images are very likely out of our project scope.

Mais de toute façon je vous aurai surement répondu : pour les logos qui sont au dessus du seuil d'originalité, comme c'est surement le cas pour vous, nous recquerons qu'une permission soit envoyée par un représentant du club (meme si c'est vous) à notre système de permission. • PS: This image would be a great image to upload to Commons since there are few other images in its category
• This link: http://mushroomobserver.org/image/index_image?by=image_quality&q=Ool3 that I mentioned is actually very powerful because I checked it and at least the first 350 pages features images rated 'Great' on MO. And each page has 18 images. And it is updated to 2018. That was how I managed to find this image on page 348 but I won't upload it although there are not many images in its category but you can if you wish. I hope...this helps. • No. The REAL problem is that I have to replace my Microsoft keyboard since some of the letters are getting faded on it after almost 2 years of use. As for my talkpage, I created a second empty talkpage archive if I need to archive messages again. I don't drink so there is no chance of me getting tipsy. The only people who may be a bit tipsy are the Spanish who are [probably] crying their eyes out...wondering why Cristiano Ronaldo scored 3 goals to deny Spain a win over Portugal in a 3-3 FIFA World Cup football game. @Leoboudv: One question, do you think it can be useful/interesting to have categories for the Mushroom users, example I made a test on File:Saproamanita praeclara 865693.jpg. Look at the categories at bottom you will see a red category which is automatically added Images from Mushroom Observer by Liz Popich (Lizzie). it is a just code line in the template, and if I add it to {{MushroomObserverUser}} then all the images where this template is transcluded will have a similar category according to the username. But in the extend that the categories don't still exist, the result will be 10000 files with a red link. What do you think? Christian Ferrer ^(talk) 05:09, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

• I think that maybe this category can be avoided because there are many many photographers on MO and this would create a new problem of cataloguing all their images in a specific category. The important thing is giving them attribution for their photos...and this Commons already does. Secondly, many MO photographers don't even know their images are on Commons...due to MO's unique license. Many contributors would be angry if they saw their images here...in a single category. These logos and pictures are property of Amla Commerce, the company I work for. We should be able to use these because they were created by our company. We hope that you reconsider your request because they were created by our company, and our company has given me permission to use these on the Wikipedia pages.

Also, you said that my account will be blocked because of this. Because the files are owned by the company I am employed by, my account should not be blocked.
