Logged out vandalism and block evasion by User:SuperSuckerEdit

SuperSucker has performed the same vandalism as several IP addresses. See, for example, File:Male-Female suicide ratios and rates 2015 (crude).svg:

On English Wikipedia, SuperSucker has disclosed that at least some of these addresses are him. See User:SuperSucker and en:User talk:SuperSucker. Please also note that this editor was given a final warning for making loggged-out death threats in this complaint. He's currently evading the blocks on these IP addresses, and his edits consist mostly of trying to create encyclopedia articles on Commons by writing absurdly long file descriptions. Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment I added a warning for violations of Commons:Overwriting files. Yann (talk) 08:07, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
✓ Done After reviewing more history, I blocked the account for a month. Clearly playing games. Surprisingly, the account was not blocked before. Yann (talk) 08:24, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

User:ManavathaEdit

Manavatha (talk · contribs) came to my attention for frequent overwriting and edit-warring of own images, which had originally been uploaded to :en, but transferred to Commons years ago. See for example: File:AARUMUGAM.JPG or File:SRI ANDAAL.jpg
They had already been warned not to overwrite in November 2018, but repeated it anyway several times thereafter. Now, I found that this account had been indef-blocked on :en already in November 2018 for CU-confirmed sockpuppeting[1]. Considering this alltogether, should we indef him also on Commons? --Túrelio (talk) 07:19, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

✓ Done Blocked 2 weeks for Violations of COM:OVERWRITE after warning. Yann (talk) 08:14, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
I'm not really under the impression this user is here to contribute anything meaningful. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 14:38, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

User:D.S_PERFUMEEdit

This very new user is uploading promotional images of the perfumes of the brand (e.g. File:ENTICE_PERFUME_FROM_(D.S_PERFUME)_06.jpg). The pictures are out of scope for commons. Requesting a promotional username block (hard if needed) and a nuke of images as promotion. Thanks in advance.--Cohaf (talk) 16:35, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment Last upload was on 2 March 2019. What's the issue now? Regards, Yann (talk) 05:06, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
@Yann: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Jolanta Omilian - portret.jpg was closed.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 05:27, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Yes, but it wasn't uploaded recently. Regards, Yann (talk) 06:44, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
@Yann: Thank you, I will take that as authorization to report serial copyviolators here concurrent with new DRs.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 00:59, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

Lou.v1012Edit

Please block Lou.v1012 (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter logblock user for continuing to upload copyright violations in spite of multiple warnings. LX (talk, contribs) 09:01, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

✓ Blocked. 4nn1l2 (talk) 09:10, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

QuestionEdit

There are several spambots that are spamming around. One or two weeks ago a new one shew up using different IPs all of which are from the Google cloud pool. How long should such IPs be blocked? --Achim (talk) 13:32, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

I block them for a week (first block) and for a year (second block). Taivo (talk) 07:06, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

Commons talk:Wiki Loves Pride 2019Edit

I know talk pages should only be protected in rare cases, but the comments on Commons talk:Wiki Loves Pride 2019 are really getting out of hand (some diffs: 1, 2, 3). The project page itself is already semi-protected; the talk page might need similar protection for the duration of the campaign. Funcrunch (talk) 07:12, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

✓ Done Semi-protected for 6 months. Also several blocks for disruptive comments. I removed the whole section. I added the page to my watchlist, and I will block any further disruptive users. Regards, Yann (talk) 07:33, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

180.183.101.46Edit

Please block 180.183.101.46 (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter logblock user, which is Kritkitty evading their block to remove notices of ongoing deletion discussions regarding files uploaded using their many sockpuppets. LX (talk, contribs) 17:46, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

✓ Done. I blocked the IP for a week. Thank you for reverting the vandalism! Taivo (talk) 19:27, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

User:VonderjohnEdit

Vonderjohn (talk · contribs) had over a 2-year time span 4 uploads so far. All of them were attack/harassment-images against (obviously) living persons and have been deleted for that reason. (On :en the account had been temp-blocked for SP in 2017.[2]) I propose an indef-block on Commons, as IMO nothing positive can be expected from this account. --Túrelio (talk) 10:46, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

✓ Done Blocked indef. Rodhullandemu (talk) 10:52, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
I must agree: nothing good can be expected from this account. Taivo (talk) 15:49, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
