Category:Frozen rivers of Finland edit
Moi. Pitäisikö tuosta luokasta ottaa pois category:Winter in Finland, koska kyllähän Suomessa on jäätyneitä jokia vielä myöhään keväälläkin (tai myöhään syksyllä) ainakin Lapissa. Nyt yksi huhtikuussa ottamani kuva on tuon luokan kautta luokassa Winter in Finland, vaikka sen pitäisi olla Spring in Finland. Itse olen luokitellut kuvat fi-wikin vuodenaika-artikkelin mukaan kohdasta Kolmen kalenterikuukauden mukaiset "tilastovuodenajat" Suomessa. - Luokittelin tuon Frozen lakes of Finland -esimerkin mukaan ja sama epäloogisuus pätee myös Snow in Finland -luokkaan. Olen tästä asiasta kyllä samaa mieltä. Tälläista "epäloogista" luokittelua on Commonsissa enemmänkin, olen esim. ihmetellyt miten Baltic Sea on luokiteltu Bodies of water in Finland:in alaluokaksi, jolloin esim. Tip: Categorizing images edit
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]][[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Suomen kilpailuun lähetettiin yhteensä 3464 kuvaa 98 kuvaajalta. Näistä valittiin 10 valokuvaa kansainvälisen kansainväliseen finaaliin. Tuomaristoon kuuluivat valokuvataiteilija Mojo Erämetsä, graafikko Tommi Kovala, rehtori Riitta Moisander, vierailijaprofessori Elina Paasonen, valokuvaaja Jussi Tiainen ja valokuvaaja Soile Tirilä. Thank you for participating Wiki Loves Monuments photography contest!
Altogether 3464 images from 98 photographers participated in the Finnish competition. 10 photos were chosen for the international final. The jury members were photography artist Mojo Erämetsä, graphic designer Tommi Kovala, rector Riitta Moisander, visiting professor Elina Paasonen, photographer Jussi Tiainen and photographer Soile Tirilä. The winner of the Finnish competition will be announced at the award ceremony at the National Museum of Finland Atelier Mannerheimintie 34, Helsinki 18 November at 1.00 pm. Welcome! Kuvan nimi edit
Olet nimennyt tämän kuvan ikään kuin se esittäisi Etu-Töölössä kulkevaa rataa. Paikka on kuitenkin Kampissa. Pitäisköhän kuva nimetä uudelleen? Muutin jo kuvan tietoihin kaupunginosan nimen. Koordinaattien lisääjä on tunnistanut paikan oikein. --Abc10 (talk) 21:29, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, hyvä. Flickr edelleenkin ilmoittaa sijainnin olevan Etu-Töölössä, siksi varmaan nimesin kuvan noin. Kuvan voi varmaan nimetä uudelleen. -A333 (talk) 14:27, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

I don't want to start an edit war, so can you tell me why you changded the categorisation of File:MS Roopetar.JPG? --Stunteltje (talk) 15:57, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- Because the ship in File:MS Roopetar.JPG is not the same as the ship in the other photos in Category:Roopetar (ship, 1995). It is shorter, for example. A333 (talk) 16:09, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- You are right, definately. I found anothe image in an article here. So perhaps it is possible that both ships have the same name, but one is an old version. I don't understand the langguage, so perhaps you can find the correct years of completion.--Stunteltje (talk) 18:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

- Yes, the old ship was replaced with the ship from Saimaa. The newer ship was built in 1995[1] and the older in 1992[2]. A333 (talk) 18:39, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
- To avoid mistakes, will you please do the right categorisation? I see on an image the name Rope and don't understand by language if the ships are renamed. --Stunteltje (talk) 18:56, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
