Winter in Sweden

Thank you for working with Sweden! Can you please help me with the Sweden winter-templates? For example I want template:Winter in Jämtland County to fit in the right years. If I put it in "category:winter of 2002-2003 in Sweden", i want them to lead to the categories "2002 in Jämtland County" and "2003 in Jämtland County" (or maybe seasons 2002 in Jämtland County and seasons 2003 in Jämtland County). Category:Renaissance buildings in Sweden

Why did you delete this category? The deletion rationale says it was an empty category, but it wasn't. The category was no different from other subcategories of Category:Renaissance buildings by country. The structure with buildings as a subcategory of architecture was a country-specific match to the Category:Renaissance architecture/Category:Renaissance buildings hierarchy above and a style-specific match to the Category:Architecture of Sweden/(Category:Structures in Sweden)/Category:Buildings in Sweden hierarchy above. Sällstorps kyrka

Hello. You removed the category wooden churches from Sällstorps kyrka with a comment about the roof. The wooden part is the tower (and also the roof as you noted). I don't know how that should be categorized. --Averater (talk) 11:32, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Hey Averater, many stone churches in Sweden have wooden towers, but when the nave is built in stone it should be categorized as stone church. --anro (talk) 11:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Move Category:Buildings in Göteborg to Category:Buildings in Göteborg Municipality

Hi I99pema, this was according to the standartisation of municipalities in Västra Götaland County. Many categories are already named as X in Göteborg Municipality I dont know if Göteborg Municipality includes more than Göteborg --anro (talk) 20:11, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi arno. Göteborg Municipality includes several other populated places, appart from Göteborg. The move makes the categorization of some objects less specific. Hello! I think you might have misunderstood something regarding Category:Vattenfyllt gruvhål. "vattenfyllt gruvhål" i just Swedish for "water-filled mining pit" of which there are plenty in Sweden and the one in Svärta parish isn't that notable that it really deserves its own category.--Thurs (talk) 11:54, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

Viola riviniana versus Viola reichenbachiana

Hi, in Category:Viola reichenbachiana I have found several photos with Viola riviniana described and categorized als V. rechenbachiana. V. riviniana has white spur (de: sporn), V. reichenbachiana has blue spur.

Hallo AnRo0002, eben sah ich dein Wirken in Category:Panoramics of Heidelberg-Altstadt und Category:Panoramics of Heidelberg-Neuenheim. Bitte beachte, dass "Panoramics" i. a. ein besonders breites Bildformat bezeichnet, siehe de:Panoramafotografie. Was du da eingeordnet hast, nämlich meist einfache Stadtansichten in Standardformaten, fällt größtenteils unter "Category:Cityscapes". Die Kategorie fehlt in Heidelberg noch. Sowohl "Panoramics of" als auch "Cityscapes of" ordne ich unter "Views of ..." unter. Ein Cityscape (Stadtlandschaft, Stadtansicht) kann ein Panorama sein, muss aber nicht. Du erhältst diese Nachricht als Teilnehmer von Wiki Loves Earth 2014 oder 2015. Dieses Jahr wird sich Deutschland wieder am Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth beteiligen. Wir würden uns über weitere Bilder von Dir freuen. Der Zeitraum für das Hochladen der Naturbilder ist vom 1. bis 31. Mai 2016.

Für die Weitergabe an den internationalen Wettbewerb ist ab diesem Jahr eine Mindestauflösung von 2 Megapixeln erforderlich. Bitte gib an, in welchem Schutzgebiet oder an welchem Schutzobjekt (z.B. Naturdenkmal, Geotop) die Fotos gemacht wurden. Wenn Bilder gar nicht zugeordnet werden können, gelangen sie nicht in die Wertung. In die Bilder eingefügte Zusätze wie der Name des Fotografen, Datum, Beschreibung oder ein Rahmen sind unerwünscht.

Seit der letzten Runde sind unter anderem Listen aller FFH-Gebiete und EU-Vogelschutzgebiete in Deutschland erstellt worden, die nun ebenfalls auf Bilder warten.

Dieses Jahr wird eine Vorjury die Vorauswahl der Bilder nach den Wettbewerbsregeln übernehmen. Als Teilnehmer aus den Vorjahren kannst Du Dich daran beteiligen. Bei Interesse bitte unter WLE-Vorjury eintragen, ein Zugangscode kommt per E-Mail.

ABER: Findest du die Kategorisierung von Pflanzenbildern auf Regionen oder Orte nicht etwas übertrieben?

Silberahorn und Krokus dem Rastpfuhl usw. zuzuordnen, weil du diese dort zufällig fotografiert hast, halte ich nicht für sinnvoll, denn diese Pflanzen wachsen ja an tausend anderen Stellen auch, d.h., sind für den Ort alles andere als relevant. Eigene Kategorien für bestimmte Pflanzen machen doch nur einen Sinn, wenn diese endemisch sind oder wenigstens in ihrem Vorkommen etwas besonders sind.

Category:Wild hops

Hi AnRo - I realise it was made a long time ago, but I only just found it now. But Category:Wild hops, removing all the wild specimens of Humulus lupulus from Category:Humulus lupulus and leaving just cultivated plants there, misses the whole structure of categorisation of biology-related files. Photos of wild plants in their native habitat are supposed to be categorised by their scientific name, either in the main species category, or if in a subcategory, also one with scientific (not English) name, and including the Taxonavigation template. Conversely, it is all the files showing cultivated material that should be moved out of the species category, into an English-name subcategory system without the Taxonav. I've tried to sort it out, but it needs checking over to make sure all photos of wild Humulus lupulus remain in sci-named categories with a Taxonav, and that all cultivated material is moved to the subcategory Category:Hop cultivation or subcategories thereof. Ein Herzliches Dankeschön für Deinen WLE-Beitrag 2016

Hallo AnRo0002,

der diesjährige Fotowettbewerb „Wiki Loves Earth“ liegt hinter uns. Für Deutschland haben mehr als 1100 Teilnehmer über 18.000 Fotos hochgeladen. Damit sind wir ein gutes Stück vorangekommen bei der Dokumentation der Schutzgebiete und zu schützenden Objekte unserer Natur.

Vorjury und Hauptjury haben eine Auslese nach qualitativen Kriterien vorgenommen und im Ergebnis wurden 100 Preisträger ermittelt. Die TOP-100-Fotos von 64 Fotografen findet Ihr auf unserer WLE-Projektseite.

Doch der gesamte Fotoschatz lässt sich mit nur 100 Fotos kaum erfassen. Daher habe ich nach Themenfeldern eine persönliche Auswahl vorgenommen und diese in Form von Kalenderpostern zusammengestellt. Über ein offizielles Poster mit den TOP-100 hinaus gibt es auch Poster zu Flora, Fauna, Landschaften und zur Geologie. Für jeden Geschmack dürfte bei dieser Kollektion etwas dabei sind. Wer Lust hat kann sich eine preisgünstige Druckerei suchen und ein solches Poster für ca. 15 € im Format A1 ausdrucken lassen. Alle fünf Poster zusammen zeigen mehr als 400 Fotos von über 160 Teilnehmern.

Wenn alles klappt, dann wird das TOP-100-Poster in Kürze auch in höherer Auflage gedruckt und auf der bevorstehenden WikiCon in der Region Stuttgart (Kornwestheim) für die Teilnehmer zum Mitnehmen und Weiterverteilen vorliegen. Auf dieser vom 16.-18. September stattfindenden Konferenz wollen wir auch nächste Schritte und mögliche Projekte mit Blick auf WLE-2017 diskutieren. Vorschläge für eine WLE-Preisverleihung und einen WLE-Workshop im Rahmen der WikiCon liegen auf dem Tisch. Es wäre schön, wenn auch Du dabei wärst.

Der Kalender reicht übrigens bis Juni 2017 und soll dazu einladen, schon in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten erneut auf Fototour rund um den Naturschutz zu gehen. Möge Euch ein Poster bis zum 4. Hallo AnRo0002, obige Kategorie, in ihrer Art ein Unikum, wächst immer mehr an. Die Pflanzen und Pilze in einer Kategorie zusammenzufassen ist sonst nicht üblich, man sollte diese Kategorie vielleicht löschen und den Inhalt neu aufteilen. Removal of category

Why did you remove Category:Ruins of churches in Uppland here?

You seem to be changing the category system by removing provinces from other Swedish church pages as well: [1].

I do not see much sense to have two parallel category systems - existing political subdivisions of Sweden vs historical provinces. Instead of that I fill the categories for counties (for example Category:Ruins of churches in Stockholm County dind't exist yet). --anro (talk) 15:40, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

You need to reconsider. The historical provinces are used for a reason. They remain in use for cataloguing purposes by the Swedish History Museum and Swedish National Heritage Board, by the standard publication series for historic churches (Sveriges kyrkor: konsthistoriskt inventarium), rune inscriptions (Sveriges runinskrifter) and so on. Modern administrative divisions are in constant flux and of little relevance for things that have been around for close to a millennium. If only one division should be used, the traditional should, in accordance with the scholarship in the field. When we discussed this at the Swedish Wikipedia a few years ago, it was agreed that it was fine to use both systems, so adding modern divisions is OK. Just don't remove the provinces, please. Somebody else will just need to go through your edits and restore them. You may as well do it yourself. --Hegvald (talk) 18:12, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Fachwerkhäuser Südliche Weinstraße

Hallo Anro, das mit der regionalen Gliederung der Kategorien finde ich eine gute Idee. Ich hatte mich bisher gescheut, hier [Category:Timber_framed_houses_in_Rhineland-Palatinate] einzugeben, da das dort schnell unübersichtlich wird. - Allerdings vermisse ich in dieser Kategorie einen Verweis auf [Category:Timber_framing_in_Landkreis_Südliche_Weinstraße]. Leider weiß ich nicht, wie man das einrichten könnte, nicht einmal, wie man hier einen [Link] einrichten kann. Ich hab mir mal den Quelltext kopiert und werde mal versuchen, die Fachwerkhäuser anderer Ortschaften ähnlich zu sortieren. Eine vergleichbare regionale Gliederung könnte ich mir auch für andere Kleindenkmal-Kategorien vorstellen wie Kilometersteine [Kilometer_stones_in_Germany]. Leider sind meine Englisch-Kenntnisse nicht gut genug, um "international" verständliche Begriffe zu (er-)finden für Handwerkszeichen an Torschlusssteinen, Haussprüche, Napoleonsbänke (FR = banc reposior), Grabdenkmäler und ähnliches. Vielen Dank für die schnelle Erledigung. Jetzt wird es allerdings richtig kompliziert: bei der neuen Kategorie fehlen die Ortschaften Barbelroth, Birkweiler, Dierbach, Frankweiler, Gommersheim, Leinsweiler, Pleisweiler-Oberhofen, Rohrbach (Pfalz), Vorderweidenthal. Wie soll man das künftig handhaben? Bei Timber_framed_houses_ würden streng genommen die kompletten Häuser hingehören, und bei Timber_framing_ Details wie Inschriften!? Wenn ich nach diesem System eine neue Kategorie [Timber_framing_in_Hochstadt_(Pfalz)] einrichte, erscheint dort als einziger Inhalt die Kategorie [Timber_framed_houses_in_Hochstadt_(Pfalz)] -- Theoretisch könnte man dort allerdings auch Bilder von Fachwerkhäusern hochladen, die nicht unter Denkmalschutz stehen oder in der Denkmalliste gestrichen wurden. -- Im übrigen vermisse ich bei Category:Timber_framed_houses_in_Rhineland-Palatinate und Category:Timber_framing_in_Rhineland-Palatinate einen Link zur Stadt Landau mit seinen Stadtdörfern. --Rudolf Wild 10:06, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Grundsätzlich gehören alle Bilder von Fachwerkhäusern in die Kategorie Timber framed houses , auch Detailaufnahmen. Es gibt darüberhinaus ja auch Fachwerk-Scheunen, Fachwerk-Kirchen usw, die unter Timber framing gehören. Die Fachwerkhäuser in den einzelnen Ortschaften sollten nach und nach in die entsprechenden Kategorien verschoben werden. --anro (talk) 10:12, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Palace versus castle

Hallo AnRo, auch das Castle ist in vielen Fällen nicht korrekt, da da doch viel eher Burgen gemeint sind. Es wird doch auch Chateau im englischen verwendet. --K@rl (talk) 17:33, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

In England selbst sind castles in der Tat eher Burgen, und Schlösser heissen dort meist house. Aber für Schlösser auf dem Kontinent ist durchaus die Bezeichnung castle üblich, z.B. Heidelberg Castle, wobei ch gerade dieses als palace durchgehen lassen würde --anro (talk) 17:39, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

- zu 1 natürlich nicht! nur wenn es sich um bedeutende Kulturdenkmale wie Burgen, Schlösser oder Kirchen handelt

- zu 2 das war schon so bei dem Bild, vielleicht stand das Denkmal ja ursprünglich in Burgenland, aber meinetwegen kann man das auch in Niederösterreich umkategorieren --anro (talk) 19:02, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

- zu 1; OK, verstehe, als nächstes kommen dann die Kategorien mit 0 Fotos.

- zu 2: Das stand sicherlich nie im Burgenland, denn normalerweise sind darauf auch die Namen der Gefallenen der jeweiligen Gemende darauf verewigt. Bwag (talk) 21:49, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Würdest du bitte die Massenanlage von einelementigen Commons-Kategorien bitte vorher im entsprechenden Projekt diskutieren. Bei den österreichischen Denkmallisten werden Commons-Kategorien in der Regel erst ab 3 Bildern angelegt. Das hat nix mit bedeutend zu tun, oder unbedeutend. Bitte stoppe das, diskutiere das und gegebenenfalls mache es bitte rückgängig. Gut gemeint ist manchmal das Gegenteil von Gut. lg --Herzi Pinki (talk) 00:57, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
