No, File:Casualties of 2017–18 Iranian protests - a map by VOAIran.jpg is VOA's own work. Other files are OK in my opinion. The original photographers have waived their rights when they sent their works to VOA to be published. 4nn1l2 (talk) 00:32, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

This is a main category requiring frequent diffusion and maybe maintenance. As many pictures and media files as possible should be moved into appropriate subcategories.

in category Ahvaz as there are many pictures which are not in a category ?

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

خبرگزاری فارس

فکر کنم بهتر باشد مثل تسنیم برای عکس‌هایی که از فارس بارگذاری می‌کنیم هم الگوی لایسنس ریویو را بگذاریم (خودم همیشه این کار را می‌کنم و تصویر خیلی زود ریویو می‌شود). سایت‌های داخلی حساب و کتاب ندارند، هم از لحاظ کپی‌رایت و هم رفتارهای عجیب مثل تسنیم که معروف است به پاک کردن عکس‌ها. سلام. از این که حساب‌تان در ویکی‌پدیا بسته شد متاسف شدم. امیدوارم مشارکت تان در این جا ادامه بیابد. یک سوال هم از شما دارم. در فارس چطور برای تصاویر جستجو می‌کنید؟ هر چه گشتم نتوانستم گالری تصاویری که در انبار بارگذاری کرده‌اید را در خبرگزاری پیدا کنم. دنبال لینک این تصویر در خبرگزاری بودم ولی چیزی پیدا نکردم (تصویر از مراسم ختم نعمت حقیقی است). سلام @SlowManifesto: . بله چون دسترسی به همه آرشیو فارس میسر نیست، باید از جستجوی گوگل Images بهره برد. مثلا برای "فلانی" در گوگل Images بزن «فلان site:farsnews.com» (یعنی داخل فارس بگرد هرچی "فلان" هست) و حتی میشه بازه زمانی و انىازه اش را مشخص کرد (در بخش Tools) تا نتیجه‌های بیشتر دیده بشود. همه این‌ها جواب نداد راه‌های دیگری هم هست، مثلاً الان برای همین مورد که گفتید، من اول رفتم با آپلود کردن عکس جستجوش کردم (اگر گوگل کروم استفاده می‌کنی، روی عکس راست کلیک کنی Search Google for image بزنی، نتیجه‌های همانند عکس را می‌یابد) عکس اول گالری‌اش رو پیدا کردم (http://media.farsnews.net/Media/8902/ImageReports/8902120535/1_8902120535_L600.jpg)، گالری اما در دست نیست، خوب برای عکس بعدی کافی است شماره یک در 1_8902120535_L600.jpg را دو کنی و Enter بزنی! (معمولا آلبوم‌ها تا 22 عکسه) در کل چون فعلا آرشیو کامل فارس در دسترس نیست، با همین ترفندهای گوگلی و گشتن‌ها و گه‌گاه راه‌های سخت‌تر و وقت‌گیرتر باید عکس را پیدا کنیم. مورد دیگه‌ای بود و نتونستی پیدا کنی من در خدمتم. من همه این آلبوم که یافتیم را آپلود می‌کنم، شما رده‌گذاری‌های بیشترش را انجام بده (چون با همه چهره‌ها آشنا نیستم). --Rafic.Mufid (talk) 05:49, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

• PS: The images with no source have a 404 message which means....The Iranian government Deleted the images as soon as they noticed someone stupidly posted them on Fars. These images put the Iranian government in a bad light certainly. This person who posted the images on Fars must be praying that he is not fired or sent to prison. In Canada, we know the story of Kavous Seyed-Emami, the Iranian Canadian who "died" in an Iranian prison...or Z. Kazemi more than 10 years ago. Marhaban @Mhhossein: , if you mean the source gallery page of a pic, you should know that Fars archive before 2010 (at least before Bahman 1391, not sure exactly) is not available on it's website, but pictures via url is available. sometimes for more info about the gallery (like for news pictures), i do searching in ISNA archive (take text/info from ISNA, pic from Fars), and for the other kind of galleries, i do search by uploading via google to see what the others described it. I think we don't need to make titles of pictures exactly as what the source called it, while this issue for older archive annoy us. Btw, i like put a link to full gallery of the source in summary description of the file (if the source gallery be available). I think as a viewer you should make sure that the file is ok. see what the template says "confirm that the above license is valid" then "confirmed that it was available there under the stated license on that date." Just like as Leoboudv does. Linking to source gallery is not necessary, it's a choose by uploader for more description. Btw, i take your notice for my better job, i can't search all my browser history to find every gallery link and put it in every pic i uploaded but i can do it for next uploads. سلام. کتابخانه‌ی ملی فرانسه کلی تصویر و نقشه از ایران و سایر جاها با مجوز مناسب دارد. یک نگاهی بکن اگر به تصاویر علاقه داشتی به انبار بیاور. من یک سری را آوردم (مثلاً File:Plan of Bushier, in the Persian gulph.jpg یا File:Verschiedene Prospecte der Vornemsten Städten in Persien.jpg) همه هم با نامگذاری و رده‌بندی داغان (مثل همیشه!). اگر تمایل داشتی و قبلاً با سایت کار نکرده بودی به من پیام بده راه یافتن نسخه‌ی باکیفیت را برایت بگویم.Slow 18:43, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

@SlowManifesto: تعریفشو زیاد شنیدم. وقت کردم سری میزنم. عنوان فایل رو بهتره همانچه که خود منبع گفته بزاری، مثلا همین املای بوشهر اون زمان گویا به صورت Bushier نوشته می‌شده، اینطوری برای یافتن منابع بیشتر کمک میکنه تا اینکه املای استاندارد کنونی Bushehr رو جستجو کنی، که در منابع تاریخی‌تر کاربرد نداره. رده‌بندی هم هیچ‌وقت تمام‌شدنی نیست! --Rafic.Mufid (talk) 19:31, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

Public execution images for Mhhossein please

Dear Rafic,

When you upload public execution images in Iran such as this Category, please ask Mhhossein to review them. I have Not reviewed them. I was born in Malaysia--where we have state executions-- but they are Not in public and are for cases of murder, drug trafficking, terrorism, insurrection as in this case, and probably rape.

I have reluctantly reviewed your public execution images of the robber in Iran (for the last time)...which I thought was unbelievable. That 'robber' should have been imprisoned and forced to serve time in jail and maybe do some public service for his crime. I am also a bit busy and public execution images are a bit revolting to me. Also note this Leoboudv just like as James Nachtwey said "a picture that shows the true face of war, is an anti-war photograph", I would like to express my opposition and show the "true face of Iran" by uploading various pictures, a topic of my opposition in punishment/judicial system of Iran can be "public executions" (also what called "Social Security Promoting Program". I know about many domestic criticizing related to this public executions, like the presence of children. I am not very ok to upload this photos, i cant see masses watching death of a human, no matter he is criminal or not, or it's based on Shariah (like Qisas ). this is why i stopped uploading more about this category picturs, User SlowManifesto did it, another Iranian user. E4024 i first used Georgian calendar, but this calendar makes me and non-muslims more confused. the Islamic calendar is lunar, and Hijri year has only 354 or 355 days in its year, it slowly rotates within the Gregorian year. So, by using georgian for Islamic holidays you causing some problems and misunderstanding. Like for some georgian years you have two Hajjes or you don't have any Hajj at all (Same for Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, Mourning of Muharram.) for example, the Hajj 2006, by gregorian calendar happened two times! while it's an annual event. Thoughts on identity

The nickname “Rafic.Mufid” may be the key to identity of this account. It may be not literally a Sonia’s sock puppet, but rather her boyfriend or husband. He was able to contribute to several wikis, evading detection thanks to different behavioural patterns. But he may permit Sonia to contribute from this account too, likely under his control and it is probable that Chyah even doesn’t know password to the account. Thus was he a “useful companion” of Chyah.

When Trijnstel locked Rafic, Sonia pulled her backup account—possibly while Rafic was sleeping—and played a characteristic tantrum. That’s why behaviour seems not to be a match.

She hundred of times denied that had a lot of socks who listed on those userchecking, she clearly had just few socks for to be in shade and hide. She never trolled. never spammed, never tryied to make a non-notable bio, like what socoks of ghorbanpour did and doing. Sonia had not way, no one listening her, so she just left her main account (Chyah) and started by "Rafic.Mufid". Those socks are not her socks, this really don't make sense.

also note that many users in Iran use VPN, like me right now! not for hiding, bcz most of net is blocked. Youtube and flicker are two site related to Commons and blocked in Iran. so, naturally if an Iranian user wanna uploads from flicker or youtube (or just editing and listening to youbute) should use vpn.
